Many new movies and tv shows just appear to be remakes of old stuff that replace the original male white protagonist with a "person of color". Why watch something like that?

"The Arts" and artists have always depended on the rich elite to fund their lifestyle. When the European elites were all tied to the church, for example, every painting was full of saints and angels, even the masterpieces. The Left has been in charge of the largest money pile in the world in the form of our government for the last few decades. As with "scientific research" they have dished out millions in taxpayer money to artists who support Woke. If that money dries up, "the arts" will suddenly hump to please whomever starts to pay for them. If it's rich Muslims, for example, we'll be flooded with movies, books, and paintings about the glories of Sharia.

My experience has been that a good many of the artsy-fartsy types are the very most Lefty of the Left. Many of them live in their own little lefty echo chamber, and savor the reverberations that they feel within it. It will be a LONG TIME before they admit -unwillingly- that 'Woke' has peaked. They may belatedly figure it out, but they will keep up the fraud as long as they can.

Avatar, Snow White, Star Wars 12-48, everything Disney, even Jake from State Farm were born in the woke era. You must go all the way back to the original Wizard of Oz to find out that mankind didn't cause the environmental disaster and black people are not placed randomly in typical all-white scenarios. I have never seen a black person driving a pickup truck or climbing out of a tent in the mountains and most likely never will.

U.S. President Donald Trump and top Iranian officials exchanged dueling threats Friday as widening economic protests swept across parts of the Islamic Republic, further escalating tensions between the countries after America bombed Iranian nuclear sites in June. Trump initially wrote on his Truth Social platform, warning Iran that if it “violently kills peaceful protesters,” the United States “will come to their rescue.” At least seven people have been killed so far in violence surrounding the demonstrations, sparked in part by the collapse of Iran’s rial currency. “We are locked and loaded and ready to go,” Trump wrote, without elaborating.

Democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani wasted no time trying to erase his predecessor’s legacy — signing a sweeping executive order just hours after taking office that wipes out most of the orders issued by Eric Adams following his indictment. The move, one of five executive orders the 34-year-old pol signed in Brooklyn Thursday, will revoke all orders issued by Adams after Sept. 26, 2024 — the same day he was slapped with federal corruption charges — to ensure a “fresh start” for his incoming administration. But he vowed to reissue certain Adams-era orders from that period of time, including one that would maintain the Office to Combat Antisemitism.

Every day, it seems we are learning more about the massive spying on of Republican members of Congress led by then-special counsel Jack Smith under former President Joe Biden as part of his administration's extensive lawfare.According to details released Wednesday from the former special counsel’s recent deposition, Smith's latest attempt to find cover from his actions is that it wasn’t the policy at the time to reveal the names of lawmakers in the subpoenas filed with judges demanding the phone records from carriers like AT&T and Verizon. The deposition was taken during a December 17 meeting with the House Judiciary Committee.

Just as a “country without borders is not a country,” so it is that “the conservative movement also requires borders.” This was the general message delivered by conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro in a December 17 speech at the Heritage Foundation and again the next day in a speech at Turning Point USA’s Amerifest conference. Shapiro’s other main point was more specific: Conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson is no conservative and must forthwith be expelled from the conservative movement. Shapiro’s message struck hard. Heritage President Kevin Roberts is backpedaling furiously after he defended Carlson’s decision to interview Nick Fuentes back in October,

My crash course, in seven units. Conservatism has been tagged as not a body of thought but a series of “irritable mental gestures.” No matter which is the more accurate description, as a holiday exercise I decided to put together what I would deem a full, rigorous course on Conservative Thought. Not everything is perfect. But I’m satisfied about how these works give a sense of the whole Anglo-American tradition, where conservatism was born as a defense of institutions and has transmogrified (while remaining itself) into a critique of the institutions. It is supposed to teach students how to think like conservatives, and to give them an ...

Each example quotes a specific media outlet, but the vast bulk of these falsehoods and half-truths were spread by multiple news sources, and some were propagated by dozens. 1: Climate Change & Biodiversity Loss An Associated Press article published by PBS in December claimed that “climate change” is making “biodiversity loss worse.” In fact, a prestigious scholarly journal published a study in October that found “extinctions related to climate change have not significantly increased over the last approximately 200 years.” Just Facts documented similar facts more than a decade ago.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy hammered California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Tuesday, accusing him of lying about a supposed extension for revoking thousands of commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) issued to non-citizens. Duffy has long been trying to crack down on the practice of issuing CDLs to truckers who, at times, struggle to understand English or read basic road signs. As common sense would dictate, having such drivers on the road is a dangerous (and sometimes deadly) proposition. The Secretary's fiery retort follows a report that the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) was granting a 60-day extension to approximately 17,000 non-domiciled CDL holders.

With New York about to embark on a dangerous voyage piloted by Zohran Mamdani, a singularly radical mayor hell-bent on shredding the policies that have kept Gotham afloat, now is a good time to explore how the city got into and out of earlier mayoral-made crises. Over the past 50 years, national recessions, Wall Street crashes and the horrors of 9/11 took turns challenging New Yorkers’ legendary toughness. But during that span, there have been just two clear brushes with civic collapse. These were not solitary events, nor did they result from national policies or mistakes made by people living outside the five boroughs. Rather,

I think it is undeniable at this point that Donald Trump has carved his name onto the list of the top five most consequential American presidents of our lifetimes - and perhaps in American history - just based on actions taken in 2025 alone. His policies as it relates to illegal immigration, for instance, with mass deportations of criminal illegals as well as his aggressive push to once and for all end birthright citizenship (the Supreme Court will hear arguments for and against Trump's executive order on this issue next spring), are unlike anything we've seen in modern history. And he's only just getting started.

The U.S. Postal Service has updated its rules to clarify that postmarks may not match the date mail was deposited, a shift stemming from network overhauls that could complicate deadlines for tax filings, ballots, and legal documents. The change, which became effective on December 24, adds a new section to the Domestic Mail Manual stating that “… while the presence of a postmark on a mailpiece confirms that the Postal Service was in possession of the mailpiece on the date of the postmark’s inscription, the postmark date does not inherently or necessarily align with the date on which the Postal Service first accepted possession of the mailpiece.”

For generations across the South, black-eyed peas have traditionally been served on New Year's Day. The dish is associated with a "mystical and mythical power to bring good luck" in the year ahead, according to writer John Egerton in his book "Southern Food: At Home, On the Road, In History." For years, Cracker Barrel served as a reliable last stop for displaced Southerners trying to uphold a New Year's Day tradition. If black-eyed peas weren't simmering at home, they could be ordered alongside cornbread and country sides.
