On the first day of Hanukkah, 2025, the world witnessed another needless, avoidable tragedy — this time an Islamic mass shooting, which erupted on the coast of Bondi Beach, Australia. Twenty-two lives were gunned down mercilessly by a father-son duo of destruction, radical militants who had immigrated to the Land Down Under not looking for a better life, but committed to taking others in the furtherance of jihad. Both tragic and outrageous, Western leaders have been welcoming a massive invasion of violent third-world peasants with no interest in integrating into their host countries. As expected, pundits and commentators pointed out at great length

While I laud the spirit of the article, here is what is more urgent and close to home. We need an addendum to the 2d Amendment that is over due - Universal Carry. Gun carry permit issued by any state should be automatically valid in every other state like a driver's or a marriage license. If a state puts any restriction on their (law abiding) residents those should be enforceable only in that state.

No. Slaves cannot get freedom all at once or they go ape. When it involves guns the consequences can be pretty horrible. They must get that freedom gradually, over generations. I saw the first generation in the middle east to have easy access to cars. It was a huge demolition derby.

For years, we have been writing about the fact that China’s dominance of critical mineral mining and, especially, processing is a threat to our national security. It is also a scandal: we have plenty of minerals in the U.S., but we don’t mine them–or, at least, we don’t develop new mines to take advantage of our resources. Because environmentalists–the Democratic Party–won’t allow it. Thus, we have abdicated control over our economy and our children’s future to the Chinese Communist Party. This chart, from a 2022 Power Line post, tells the story: To learn much more, check out Mission Impossible, by Debra Struhsacker and Sarah Montalbano. Happily, there are some Democrats,

Minnesota’s welfare fraud scandals dominate the national news, and calls are rising for Governor Tim Walz to resign. The Minnesota Star Tribune, a longtime DFL mouthpiece that is now run by a former Walz cabinet member, is doing its best to fend off criticism of the Walz regime. Toward that end, its “reporters” are desperately looking for a way to discredit the Nick Shirley video of Somali day care centers that has been seen by more than 100 million people. Deena Winter, a Star Tribune reporter, evidently was assigned that task. In the Shirley video, he has a colleague who is identified only as “David.” Winter apparently thought

Disney put together a stellar 2025 thanks in large part to two movies that hauled in over $1 billion each globally. The live-action Lilo & Stitch was the first film of the year to cross the $1 billion mark, while Zootopia 2 proceeded to surpass that number in an astonishing 17 days to wrap up 2025. Considering Disney’s immense success with theatrical releases throughout the year, their decision to pull the plug on one of the most recent movies was more than a bit surprising. However, thanks in large part to its tremendous international struggles out of the gate,

President Trump's name being added to The Kennedy Center has really upended the world of performing arts in the Nation's Capital. As RedState's Katie Jerkovich reported just a few weeks back, the White House announced that The Kennedy Center would officially be rebranded as The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts – or the Trump-Kennedy Center for short – after its board of trustees voted to rename it. The move came after Trump and Ric Grenell, Trump's handpicked interim president of the storied performing arts center, have spent much of 2025 working to modernize and upgrade the facility and its offerings.

If there's one thing the fraud scandals in Minnesota have affirmed for us beyond how deep the fraud and corruption go in the Democrat-run state, it's how utterly rotten to the core the corporate media industrial complex truly is. Oh, they'll be quick to tell you how much "reporting" they've done on some of the scandals, some of which date back several years. But what they'll leave out is that in most cases it was either bare minimum reporting, stories that came in response to investigative digging done by others, or reporting designed to discredit the accusers and cast doubt on the allegations against the Somali community and their Democrat

In terms of the laws of physics and economics, hybrid vehicles make much more sense than pure battery-powered cars. And unlike EVs, they have found a viable market niche. But data from the U.K. suggest that hybrids are unusually dangerous. From the London Times: “Fatal crash risk ‘three times higher’ in hybrid cars than petrol.” Motorists in hybrid cars are substantially more likely to die in road collisions than those in conventional petrol vehicles, according to statistics from the Department for Transport. *** Overall, the data shows that there was one death for every 8,000 hybrid cars on the roads last year compared with one death for every 20,000 diesel vehicles,

Rob Schneider walked into the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary celebration knowing exactly what kind of room he was entering. Last year, he endorsed Donald Trump for president, and that doesn’t exactly make you a lot of friends in Hollywood. What he didn't expect was to find himself inches away from one of the loudest, angriest anti-Trump voices in entertainment: Robert De Niro. In an interview with Jan Jekielek of the Epoch Times, Schneider recounted an incident involving De Niro at the event, which says a lot about both men. Before telling the story, Schneider began by giving De Niro his due as an actor. "He's obviously

The culture wars are raging, but on at least one front the forces of good are winning. The “trans” ideology is crumbling fast. The latest evidence is this piece in Newsweek, written by two of the authors of the Department of Health and Human Services’ recent paper, “Treatment for Pediatric Gender Dysphoria: Review of Evidence and Best Practices.” The authors begin with a ritual denunciation of HHS and an assurance that “we, along with most of the other authors, are liberals.” But they go on to break the news to their fellow lefties: The approach to pediatric gender distress currently favored in the U.S., which involves the provision of puberty blockers

I came of age during the beginning of the Disco era. I bought Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” (1978) as a single and subsequently the album Love Tracks, on which it is found. I still have both. Even if you weren’t there, like me, at the beginning when disco music went from being played exclusively in the underground gay and black clubs to being listened to and played by the mainstream media, most, if not all of us, know the song. We like the song, like we like any other song, for whatever reason, as music is subjective. It's not because the singer is a Republican or a Democrat.

Anti-oil and gas advocates across the country have pursued litigation in recent years attempting to force the fossil fuel industry to pay for decades of financial damages the advocates claim were caused by climate change. Several cases have been dismissed while others advanced through court systems, with some being considered before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2026. Critics of the litigation call it "woke lawfare" and an attempt to force progressive political policies via the judicial system. Critics also argue the lawsuits threaten U.S. energy independence and, depending on outcomes, will have sweeping impacts on every American. Here are some of those cases.

With the arrest of Nick Reiner for the alleged murder of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer, commentators have taken to simultaneously pitying the accused for his mental illness while condemning him for his evil actions. This is logically contradictory. On the one hand, if it is illness that explains why Nick Reiner committed a crime, then he cannot be held morally responsible for his actions. It is just to hold him morally responsible for his actions only if he could have chosen, on the basis of reasons, not impulses or compulsions, to have done other than what he allegedly did. If, on the other hand, we insist

Somali migrants are claiming that Minnesota’s economy would crash without them, even as the cost of Somali-run welfare fraud is growing on a weekly basis. Minnesota has been wracked with a series of massive welfare fraud cases, leaving Democrat governor and failed 2024 vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz reeling. Much of the multibillions in fraud has been perpetrated by Somali migrants, who first began pouring into the state in the 1990s. However, one state legislator is insisting that Minnesota would not be able to survive without Somalians. Democrat Minnesota State Sen. The New York City Council has passed what has been called the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act (COPA) that will force private building owners to offer up their property to nonprofits and government entities before they make any private sale, effectively causing massive delays in property sales and other regulatory hurdles in the Big Apple’s housing industry. In the scenario that it is passed, NYC will have the largest COPA program in the country. The act forces landlords to offer their property to the city as well as nonprofits before the building can be sold on the public market.

Shocking unearthed video from a 2018 state fraud case shows Minnesota parents dropping their children off at a day care center and then leaving with the kids moments later — as authorities probe a rampant billion-dollar fraud scheme in Minneapolis. In the surveillance footage, dated 2015 and obtained by Fox 9, parents are seen signing their kids into the facility so providers could bill the state for full days of care for children who didn’t actually attend. On some days, no families would even show up at all, but the day cares would still claim reimbursements from the government, the outlet reported at the time.

The mullahs have ruled in Iran since 1979. That's a long time. But there are still people who remember what it was like in the country before. They remember what it was like to have more freedom then. There have been resistance movements ever since, inside and outside Iran, trying to bring change. They've had moments in the past where things seemed to come close, such as with the Green Movement that started in 2009, and had hundreds of thousands in the streets. But Barack Obama was in office in 2009, so their hopes of any support were dashed. Then, too, in 2016, he secretly flew $400 million to Iran.
