The Associated Press argued for keeping its Oval Office and Air Force One access before a Washington, D.C., appeals panel Monday, after riling President Donald Trump over the news outlet’s insistence on using the phrase “Gulf of Mexico.”
“The First Amendment does not stop at the Oval Office door,” AP attorney Charles Tobin argued before the three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
He argued that the White House press pool system has long allowed the AP to attend almost every presidential event. He noted that some form of the White House press pool goes back to the White House of President James Garfield, and was more

AP asked for being thrown out of the Oval Office and AF1 by disrespect. Let the flail in the wind!

The press room needs to get rid of the comfortable chairs....especially when someone doesn't behave.

There are so many Associated Press pieces in my local newspaper that it is almost worthless now. Every article is so slanted with a liberal take on everything. I don't need the aggravation that comes whenever I read anything put out by AP.

Perhaps, once upon a time, the Associated Press was a real news organization, intending to INFORM the American people.
But many years ago -I am thinking around 1968, during Johnson's botching of the Vietnam War- it was taken over by the Leftists, and gradually slanted farther and farther Left until it is now the Propaganda Arm of the Looney Wing of the 'Rat Party. it's articles are written to Indoctrinate, not Inform, its readers.
It lost any credibility -at least with me- many years ago.
As far as I am concerned, they can go Pound Sand right up there where the Moon Don't Shine.

"No Hardship/No cause", AP can run stories based upon other outlets reporters filings(with attribution) just as other outlets for YEARS have been forced to run AP reporters stories(with attribution),AP's former seats, and office/desk space, has been reallocated to more modern web reporters/outlets.

If the AP thinks their foreign readers won't understand the Gulf of America was formerly known as the Gulf of Mexico, it should so clarify with a simple statement aimed at these foreign readers, repeated for as long as necessary. Did this occur when Obama renamed Mt. McKinley?

I have to wonder just how far federal judges are willing to go, to strip away presidential power.
Is there any limit? Even power washing the Eisenhower building has been taken away by the court.
This has become silly.

Someone should remind the judges that the taxpayors pay for their offices and perhaps the AP should have full access therein! Do Judges have more control over their offices than the President of the US? Just askin.

Saw this joke on social media.
Since the Gulf was renamed to Gulf of America, all hurricanes this season avoided it.
NO hurricanes in the Gulf this year.

How are the AP's First Amendment rights being violated? Nobody is preventing them from writing anything. They still write whatever, when̈ever, wherever they want. They don't need access to the White House press room or Air Force One to make up their liberal blather.

Like all leftists, the AP pretends that privileged access and being shielded from criticism are First Amendment rights. No one is stopping them from selling their laughably biased and dishonest stories to hundreds of news outlets every day.

AP is a political propaganda organization. They should go out of business. As I've said many times, the only good AP was Arnold Palmer.

There are no journalists. There are only propagandists. I salute President Trump for throwing the AP out. They should all be thrown out.
