Winsome Sears was a good patriotic woman but a weak candidate who could not muster enough support downstate to overcome the Federal employee/union riddled Northeast. That was becoming very apparent. Was it because she is a black female who got zero support from where they usually draw support?

I live in Virginia - just outside Northern Virginia. As I have posted many times before over the years, VA is a blue state, on occasion purplish but it is not a red state anymore. Listening to local talk radio this am and the criticism of Sears by the host was that although she's a good woman. She was not an inspiring candidate. Okay - so was Spanberger inspiring? She couldn't even answer a simple yes or no question on do you support boys/men in girls/women spaces? The local media covered for Spanberger with softball questions when she did agree to the rare interview and of course, no pushback on a BS answer. As for inspiration - I do not want or need a candidate to inspire me. I want to know what he or she is going to do for my life: raise or lower taxes, support fossil fuels or green energy, sanctuary state or not, etc. Spanberger ran against Trump to galvanize her supporters in Northern Virginia - you know, all those feds. Pretty disgusted with those Republicans throughout this state who weren't inspired enough to go out and vote.

Knowing how the so called republicans sabotaged POTUS Trumps first term, I wonder if her campaign team wasn’t infiltrated by saboteurs. It was very odd that she didn’t do FREE interview's on the local conservative talk radio shows. Scamburger will be a nightmare for Virginia.

About 1.3 million people voted out of a voting age population of 6.8 million. I'd say the danger of the apathy of the masses far outweighs any danger of electing the worst of Democrats or Republicans.

Well, what did anyone expect? Most of the population of the most populous municipalities in Virginia work for or are otherwise beholden to those who work for the behemoth Federal Government / Deep State. Of course they are going to elect the Leftist Deep-State Operative.

The Trump administration has shot back at a Washington Post article claiming the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) watered down its policy prohibiting the display of Nazi swastikas, with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) calling the report “a demonstrably false storyline.” “The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika — an emblem of fascism and white supremacy inextricably linked to the murder of millions of Jews and the deaths of more than 400,000 U.S. troops who died fighting in World War II — as a hate symbol, according to a new policy that takes effect next month,” WaPo‘s Tara Copp and Michelle Boorstein wrote Thursday.

The late billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein texted compliments and advice to a Democrat member of Congress while she questioned President Donald Trump’s former attorney in a February 2019 hearing, newly released documents reveal. Thousands of pages of emails, texts, and other documents from Epstein’s estate were released last Wednesday by the House Oversight Committee, uncovering shocking communication between the convicted predator and Del. Stacey Plaskett (D) of the U.S. Virgin Islands as she prepared to question Michael Cohen, Trump’s ex-lawyer-turned-critic.

Gov. Kathy Hochul thought endorsing Zohran Mamdani would win over his supporters; instead they’re now threatening to oust her if she doesn’t cave to their demands. Oops. If Hochul blocks tax hikes on the rich to fund “universal child care,” warned state Sen. Jabari Brisport at a “Tax the Rich” rally Sunday, “she has to go.” Brisport complains she’s shot down such plans twice before; “If you get a third strike, you’re out,” he threatened, to wild applause. Another tax-the-rich crowd booed Hochul — to her face — when she took the stage at a Mamdani event with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders a few weeks ago.

[C]ountries such as Jordan and Lebanon had extremely negative experiences with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and other Palestinian armed groups who were trying to overthrow or destabilize their governments (Black September in Jordan in 1970 and the Lebanese Civil War 1975-1990). Arab leaders often make strong statements, issue condemnations of Israeli actions, and attend high-profile summits that express solidarity with the Palestinians. Their gestures, however -- apart from Iran and Qatar -- are often not matched by decisive steps... The refusal of the Arab countries to absorb Palestinians (including the ex-prisoners) is...

The protests, led largely by young Gen-Zers, were aimed at addressing corruption and safety concerns. The anti-government sentiment has been brewing, and the protest is thought to have been spurred by the recent assassination of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manzo. Our former Townhall colleague, independent journalist Julio Rosas, was on scene, documenting Saturday's unrest and sharing video to his X feed.

Well, we saw the first battle over the shutdown, and now get ready for the next episode over free buses. Between 1892 and 1954, approximately 12 million immigrants arrived at the now-iconic Ellis Island to enter the U.S.—or nearly 200,000 legal entries per year. All were registered, documented, and given rudimentary health exams. They arrived as rich and poor, white and non-white, and, without exception, legally. With the gradual decline of such great influxes, Ellis Island finally ceased operating roughly 71 years ago. Yet Ellis Island’s successful tenure offers a sharp contrast to the failures of our recent open-border catastrophes. Americans will never know how many immigrants swarmed the southern border between 2021 and 2025,

Democrats are seeking to put limits on private donations to foot the bill for President Donald Trump's new White House ballroom amid what they say are bribery concerns. Trump announced in October that construction had started on the ballroom — leading to the demolition of the White House’s historic East Wing — and would be privately funded at an estimated cost of $300 million. That was up from the $200 million estimate first provided in July when the project was unveiled. But Democrats are concerned the donors — including individuals and other organizations — are footing the bill for the project because they are seeking

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is laying down the law for Bill and Hillary Clinton: show up in person for depositions in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation, or face prison. Comer warned the former president and his twice-failed presidential candidate wife that dodging these subpoenas with written answers will not cut it—it's a clear no-go, and could invite contempt of Congress charges. Originally subpoenaed in August, the Clintons asked their lawyer to request that the committee accept written statements rather than require them to sit for live depositions. Their attorney, David Kendall, claimed that written answers would be the “most efficient and equitable” approach. Comer shot that down.

The devastating Camp Fire, which wiped out cell towers and hampered emergency communication during critical hours, was on everyone’s minds as the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services worked to design the state’s future emergency communication system. Between 2019 and 2025, California paid four technology companies over $450 million to build out its Next Generation 911 system, But when the time came to turn that system on, it didn’t work.

Last week a radio host in Salt Lake City asked me a question I didn’t expect. We’d been talking about my “jobs Americans won’t do” article, which kind of kicked the anthill, and everything stayed within the usual lanes: illegal immigration, wages, hiring incentives, hollowed-out towns. Then, at the very end, he asked the only question that really matters: “So how do we fix it?” Not describe it or rant about it. Fix it. My answer, essentially, was, "It's complicated." There isn’t a bumper-sticker answer. And there certainly isn’t a partisan one. The problem goes much deeper than illegal immigration, though illegal immigration made it far worse. The message is the Republicans in next fall’s midterm elections will lose the House, bigly, and probably the Senate. If politics is indeed “war by other means,” expect the political war next fall to be bloody. Think Battle of the Little Bighorn. Think Stalingrad. Think Pickett’s Charge. Think the Battle of Midway. Think Waterloo. It will be one-sided. Oh, I know the President has done some terrific things – at great personal risk to himself, by the way – even if they were sometimes done unartfully.
