Winsome Sears was a good patriotic woman but a weak candidate who could not muster enough support downstate to overcome the Federal employee/union riddled Northeast. That was becoming very apparent. Was it because she is a black female who got zero support from where they usually draw support?

I live in Virginia - just outside Northern Virginia. As I have posted many times before over the years, VA is a blue state, on occasion purplish but it is not a red state anymore. Listening to local talk radio this am and the criticism of Sears by the host was that although she's a good woman. She was not an inspiring candidate. Okay - so was Spanberger inspiring? She couldn't even answer a simple yes or no question on do you support boys/men in girls/women spaces? The local media covered for Spanberger with softball questions when she did agree to the rare interview and of course, no pushback on a BS answer. As for inspiration - I do not want or need a candidate to inspire me. I want to know what he or she is going to do for my life: raise or lower taxes, support fossil fuels or green energy, sanctuary state or not, etc. Spanberger ran against Trump to galvanize her supporters in Northern Virginia - you know, all those feds. Pretty disgusted with those Republicans throughout this state who weren't inspired enough to go out and vote.

Knowing how the so called republicans sabotaged POTUS Trumps first term, I wonder if her campaign team wasn’t infiltrated by saboteurs. It was very odd that she didn’t do FREE interview's on the local conservative talk radio shows. Scamburger will be a nightmare for Virginia.

About 1.3 million people voted out of a voting age population of 6.8 million. I'd say the danger of the apathy of the masses far outweighs any danger of electing the worst of Democrats or Republicans.

Well, what did anyone expect? Most of the population of the most populous municipalities in Virginia work for or are otherwise beholden to those who work for the behemoth Federal Government / Deep State. Of course they are going to elect the Leftist Deep-State Operative.

The BBC’s Top 50 Pieces of Climate Misinformation 4 replies

For a number of years, the BBC’s coverage of climate change and related policy issues has been misinforming the public. It is often one-sided, misleading and sometimes even factually incorrect, with an absence of alternative views and inconvenient facts that might run counter to the BBC agenda. The Beeb – funded by licence-fee payers – blames climate change for nearly every bit of bad weather that comes along. It has long been a fervent backer of Net Zero and other climate policies but rarely tells the public how much it is costing them and how little effect such policies will in fact have.

Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom attempted to come for the White House and President Donald Trump, trumpeting the integrity of his state's elections, and got hit with some embarrassing truths. It started on Tuesday with a Truth Social post from President Trump about the initiative on the ballot in CA, Proposition 50, which Newsom has made his pet project, pushing for its passage that would terminate the state's independent redistricting commission, allegedly, temporarily. If it passes, the Democrat-run state would be able to break apart predominantly Republican Congressional districts to get five more seats in Congress, further gerrymandering a state that has already been altered to benefit Democrats.

New Yorkers elected their first socialist mayor Tuesday, handing far-left Democrat Zohran Mamdani an historic victory — as he claimed a mandate for his potentially budget-busting progressive agenda and all but declared war on President Trump. The Associated Press and NY1 called the race for the 34-year-old Mamdani about 40 minutes after polls closed at 9 p.m., inspiring cheers from his supporters at his campaign’s Brooklyn watch party. “New York, tonight you have delivered a mandate for change, a mandate for a new kind of politics, a mandate for a city that we can afford and a mandate for a government that delivers exactly that,”

For Hamas, US President Donald J. Trump's peace plan, announced in early October, is evidently nothing but a temporary ceasefire, or hudna, that should be exploited to ensure that the terror group, with the help of Qatar and Turkey, expands its political and military control over the Gaza Strip. The terror group, however, has not been facing any difficulty in hunting down Palestinians suspected of "collaboration" with Israel or those who dared to criticize Hamas during the war. Hamas, in addition, is not in a hurry because it has a serious problem with phase two of the Trump plan, which requires the terror group to lay down and decommission its weapons.

The Schumer Shutdown has been going on for more than a month now. It started on October 1, and the Senate won't even be able to have another vote on it until Tuesday at the earliest. The extended shutdown is raising concerns, particularly about funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and how it may be impacting air travel. Fox News Channel's Maria Bartiromo asked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Sunday if he thought the government would open this week, as the shutdown was "seriously impacting the U.S. economy." Cruz had an intelligent take on when it might be over, and why.

Despite some setbacks, President Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan has been an unprecedented success because it quickly achieved its most important objective: the release of all live Israeli hostages held by Hamas. The U.S. and its Arab allies are working hard to pressure Hamas to agree to implement the rest of the deal to achieve a lasting Middle East peace. Trump officials will also be pressing European states to fully support the plan and not undermine it. The quick release of the Israeli hostages was considered impossible just a few weeks ago and reflected the high priority that President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu placed on quickly saving the lives -

The New Jersey race for governor is a dead heat, with 49% of voters supporting Democrat Mikie Sherrill and 48% backing Republican Jack Ciattarelli, a bombshell new poll revealed Thursday. When undecideds are pushed to say who they’re leaning toward, Sherrill’s lead increases by 1 point — 50% to 48%, the Emerson College/Pix 11/The Hill survey found. The poll is a boost for Ciattarelli in the final days of the campaign — showing he has wiped out the 20-point lead that Sherrill boasted this summer. The race is so close that turnout will likely decide the outcome.

Supreme Court justices on Wednesday morning expressed skepticism about the legality of aggressive tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump against most of the world's nations. Conservative and liberal justices sharply questioned Solicitor General D. John Sauer on the Trump administration's method for enacting the tariffs, which critics say infringes on the power of Congress to tax. Lower federal courts have ruled that Trump lacked the legal authority he cited under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose the so-called reciprocal tariffs on imports from many U.S. trading partners, and fentanyl tariffs on products from Canada, China and Mexico.

Democrats dominated the first major Election Day since President Donald Trump returned to the White House. And while a debate about the future of the Democratic Party may have only just begun, there are signs that the economy — specifically, Trump’s inability to deliver the economic turnaround he promised last fall — may be a real problem for Trump’s GOP heading into next year’s higher-stakes midterm elections. Democrats on Tuesday won governor’s races in Virginia and New Jersey, the only states electing new chief executives this year. They also swept a trio of state Supreme Court contests in swing-state Pennsylvania and ballots measures from Colorado to Maine.
