From the Times of India, Sikh advocacy groups estimate there are approximately 150,000 to 200,000 Sikhs working in the trucking industry, with around 90% (135,000 to 180,000) being drivers. They constitute about 18% of the total truck drivers in the US and up to 40% are based in California. This fact was buried in the 6th paragraph of a story about that Indian-national truck driver (Harjinder Singh, billed out of Stockton, CA) accused of causing three fatalities in a minivan with his truck on the Florida Turnpike earlier this month.

This is unacceptable. We are supposed to be a civilized and as safe a country as we can make it. 18% of the drivers!! Think about that the next time you are surrounded by 80 lb 18 wheelers on a rainy day on the interstate. I raced Sports cars for seven years and am more nervous with those big trucks in front, back and beside me every time I get on what should be a quick, easy drive. It also seems to be now that every other vehicle on the road is a big truck. I know that they deliver our food and products and are necessary but the least the state authorities could thoroughly vet these drivers before the give them a CDL. Giving those illegals certification and getting hired by trucking companies overlooking the danger for extra profits should land the owners in prison. At the least, fine them $5,000 per day for every illegal caught driving their trucks.

As so many others have said this past week, the authorities have to start testing every driver at every truck weigh station in the country. And that means ALL drivers, since if only a certain type of driver is tested there will be calls of discrimination from the corrupt media. All weigh stations, and they stay open 24hours a day until every single illegal alien is stopped. Since this would overtax the State Police bring in the National Guard to man the weigh stations.

As a CDL holder (with multiple undergrad degrees, and graduate studies) I am constantly frightened by the deadly potential of the tractor-trailer that I drive. How a person unable to understand or read English could drive a rig in the US boggles the mind.

That's one of the most appropriate headlines as it relates to the article that I've seen in a long time. Here's the full lyric: Wheel's on fire Rolling down the road Best notify my next of kin This wheel shall explode I bet that in 1967 Dylan didn't realize that he was writing about the state of the American trucking industry in 2025. There's nothing that the Rats haven't totally fouled up with their incompetence.

What percentage of these foreign truck drivers can neither speak nor read English (or understand American law)? Ultimately, that's what caused this senseless wreck. Shipping companies are going to have to hire more Americans, and get rid of present and future "Democrat" voters, especially ones like Singh, who should do his prison term before he's permanently deported. Or let the rogue shipping companies go out of business after the lawsuits and the criminal charges. Same as #5, I immediately remembered The Basement Tapes with Dylan and The Band. Better notify my next of kin ....

The truck driving profession has been taken over by foreigners and felons out of prison. The prisons promote truck driving as possible employment, as it is obvious the felons cannot get along with anyone.

We take a lot of road trips. It's getting worse, and scarier, out there with what big rigs are doing. We are noticing more often big rigs trying to pass each other ON UPHILLS! Earlier this year, we were on a two lane highway and in the distance, a big rig was passing another and barreling at us in our lane going the opposite way! Thank goodness they flashed their brights! We took it as a warning that they were not able to complete their pass and for us to take evasive action. My wife was driving and safely moved off the road in time.

How they hell does this happen, why did America need to import 150,000 to 200,000 Sikhs to drive trucks, and this one ethic group alone represents 18% of the truck drivers on the road. My guess some corrupt politicians are getting paid by the head to allow foreign drivers in the US, putting Americans as risk. They need to be both outed and held personally culpable for the damage to life, limb, and property their actions caused. This is what you might call political malpractice.

Thanks #9. Yes, tons. A late friend was a long haul truck driver for 20 years. He had to go to a driver school, pass a competency test and a background check before he could get a CDL for that type of vehicle. I don't know what the regulations are now but the requirements should be even stiffer. Maybe not as stringent as what an airline pilot has to go through but close. At the very least, massive fines for hiring an illegal to drive those things. The trucking company should (and will) be sued out of existence but the owners should also be personally sued for manslaughter due to their ignoring the status and incompetence of their drivers while seeking profit over human lives.

It may take time, but bad governance inevitably leads to bad consequences. That's a reality Democrats have been loathe to accept, as they've continued down a black hole of awful policy, whether it be economically or culturally. The bill is coming due, though. According to a new analysis, a "ticking timebomb" is approaching in 2030, with the electoral landscape set to shift dramatically in favor of Republicans. The year is 2032. Studying the Electoral College map, a Democratic presidential candidate can no longer plan to sweep New Hampshire, Minnesota and the “blue wall” battlegrounds of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and win the White House.

CNN's resident data guru, Harry Enten, continued to report on the Democratic party's decline, noting that voter registration numbers continue to surge for the Republican party - and the resistance is about as popular as the Cracker Barrel rebrand. Enten discussed the matter of registration amongst the parties in four key swing states with "CNN Newsroom" anchor Jessica Dean over the weekend. His conclusion was not very flattering for a Democrat party that has suffered a perpetual onslaught of bad news since their disastrous 2024 election results. "Look, the Democratic brand right now has about the appeal with the American voter as the Cracker Barrel rebrand has with the American consumers,"

I’m not a lawyer, but I‘ve never quite understood how burning the American flag is a “free speech” issue. Lighting a flag on fire isn’t the same as giving your opinion or writing an article—it’s an action. If I took my bedsheet and lit it on fire on Fifth Avenue, I’m pretty sure a cop would be stopping by shortly. Donald Trump is certainly no fan of flag-burning, and on Monday, he signed an executive order banning the practice. Titled PROSECUTING BURNING OF THE AMERICAN FLAG, the order vows to restore the “sanctity” of the Stars and Stripes: My Administration will act to restore respect and sanctity to the American Flag

Midterms traditionally run against the party in power in the White House. But some important facts explain why Democrats are freaking out over the redistricting in Texas. We previously reported on the huge shift in party registration numbers, according to a recent analysis. When Democrats have lost 2.1 million registrations and the Republicans have gained 2.4 million over the past four years, I think you can call that a "crisis" for Democrats. President Trump went on a late-night attack against NBC and ABC News on Sunday, deriding them for what, in his view, was "biased" coverage and said he would be in favor of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) revoking their licenses. The Republican president said the news outlets had given him negative coverage on "97%" of stories. It wasn’t clear from where Trump was citing the "97%" figure. A study released earlier this year by the conservative media watchdog group, Media Research Center (MRC), found that coverage of the president’s first 100 days in office was "92% negative."

Representative Al Green, who has served Texas’s 9th Congressional District since 2005, will finally leave office. The Texas Legislature, led by Republicans, passed a legal redrawing of congressional maps that effectively eliminates District 9. Green, best known not for legislation but for shouting down President Trump during his address to Congress in March 2025, will be removed from office after nearly two decades of loud, ineffective, and divisive politics. Unsurprisingly, Rep. Al Green called the redistricting racist. But the only racial injustice here is the Democrat Party’s decades-long abuse of district lines to cling to power.
