In a world where the mainstream media and radical left thrive on lies and misinformation, it’s no surprise that President Trump’s recent diplomatic efforts in Alaska are being twisted and ridiculed.[snip]Alaska Summit wasn’t a press conference or a reality TV stunt; it was real diplomacy. Trump went[snip] to extend a hand of peace, and open a door that the Biden administration ignored. He didn’t come with ultimatums or force deals. Instead, he put the responsibility where it belongs: on Russia, Ukraine, NATO, and Europe.[snip] Do you want peace? It’s on you to make it happen. No one is forcing anything; no deals are being imposed. That is leadership, not weakness.

An impossible situation. Trump is really setting his sites high here. How do you negotiate a peace treaty in this situation? When the problem is that no matter what the terms are, the people in both countries will consider it a loss and blame it on their leader. Can Trump really pull this off?

Trump sets up the conditions that makes Putin appear to the world as the magnanimous, self-sacrificing statesman taking the higher ground to offer the olive branch.
And Putin wins the useless Nobel Peace Prize.

Putin isn't serious about anything but wanting all of Ukraine. He is kidnapping any and all Ukrainian children and shipping them to Russia to be used to replace the dead soldiers, while simultaneously putting a death sentence on Ukraine. A country without children is doomed, and this is Putin's goal in those areas he has control over.
Pure evil, a KGB colonel who hit the big time.

Well #1. Trump seems to be the only leader actually trying to end the war. Everyone else seems to be happy to drag it out forever.
This war doesn't end with 2020 borders, no matter what Zelensky wants or thinks.

no one can change the realities of Putin's territorial ambitions and the impossibility of Ukraine winning this war. the best to hope for is to separate the opposing forces for a long period, stopping the carnage. i would put off land exchange decisions for a while - Putin is no spring chicken.

Islam controls the formerly great powers of Western Europe. They are the greatest obstacle to peace in my opinion.

In response to #1, I will politely say I would rather have it set high than nothing at all. Did anyone read the article "It is time': Melania Trump's 'peace letter' hand-delivered to Putin"? Maybe in reading the article, Donald Trump's reasoning will be highlighted.
By the way, beautifully written letter by Melania Trump. . .

The Korean war reached a peace fire by essentially cutting the country in half. Far from ideal but untold thousands of lives were saved. My guess is Ukraine will end up losing territory too, but won't lose everything.

The most important part of this visit is being absolutely missed by the fake news....it's negotiating 101...taught in every business school....the democrats are so lost in their hatred...they just can't see past their noses....but Newsmax and I'm happy to say Fox seem to get it....while CNN laughs at President Trump because he didn't get a deal...it was a negotiation CNN...not a final draft...what don't you get about a deal is a deal...when it's a deal....

#9, CNN knows perfectly well what’s going on, and the stages of diplomacy. It’s simply that they are trying to make the news instead of reporting it.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the Sons of God. Matthew 5 v8.
President Trump may or may not be instrumental in settling the war between Ukraine and Russia, but he is a true peacemaker. And I believe God is pleased and that says something.

I think this was the big start of something big. They probably have a deal already. There's a lot more to this.
