Southwest pilot busted for DUI after taking
sobriety test on jet bridge

Wild video shows a Southwest pilot doing standardized field sobriety tasks on a jetbridge before eventually being arrested. Driving while intoxicated is bad enough, but can you imagine getting on a plane where one of the pilots has been accused of having too many beers before clocking in for work? That was the reality for one plane full of people headed to Chicago from Savannah Hilton Head Airport earlier this year, when pilot David Paul Allsop was pulled off the flight after a member of the TSA reported having seen him appear intoxicated before boarding. Comments:

Glad they caught him, but how often does this happen where they DON'T catch them??

I guess it happens. I read about a case a few years ago. It's hard to imagine losing your career because you had to have a few belts before work. Humans do human things but this guy was responsible for no telling how many lives on that aircraft.

Comment in the article — “They should require every pilot to blow into a breathalyzer before flying. The only people who would object are those who are worried they might not pass.” Good idea. Anyone flying a plane load of passengers should be able to do without alcohol until after they have completed their duties.

He stated himself that he had a few beers. I wonder how many flights he has made after having a few beers. I don't think he will be having any more -----as a pilot. Pretty dumb as a pilot having a few beers in an airport lounge.

#6, I was just making a silly joke (see below). Can you share some of your experiences with SW? he people I know who work at SW love it. As a sometime resident of DFW area, I'd much rather fly out of Love Field, which is SW's hub and headquarters. (A stewardess on Canada's WestJet, which is the equivalent of SW, once announced that, "We have a first time flyer on board today. He's 96 years old, and this is his first trip on an airplane. [Passengers applaud]. If you'd like to say hello to him, Captain Smith will be standing in front of the cockpit after he lands the plane."]

Social media bid “adios amigos” as an alleged illegal alien TikToker known for doxxing ICE operations was arrested during a livestream. Clout chasing came with consequences this week in Los Angeles when attempts to restore law and order, along with national sovereignty, reached the “find out” stage for a TikToker who’d spent too much time “f*ing around” with law enforcement. Tatiana Martinez, an influencer with the Colombian flag in her Instagram bio known for encouraging disruption of immigration enforcement, was seen being hauled out of a Tesla and taken into custody. “The number of TikTok influencers who are here illegally would shock you,”

Nine Democrat officials pleaded not guilty this week to felony election-fraud charges in one of the most significant ballot-harvesting cases in recent Texas history. The charges were brought by Attorney General Ken Paxton after a two-year investigation that uncovered what prosecutors describe as an organized scheme to manipulate mail-in ballots in rural South Texas. Six of the defendants appeared in person at a Pearsall courtroom on Wednesday, while three others joined remotely through Zoom. Among those charged is Juan Manuel Medina, the former chairman of the Bexar County Democrat Party. Medina’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss the charges, arguing that the prosecution is politically motivated,

For years, Senator Adam Schiff built his career accusing Republicans of corruption while pretending to be a defender of democracy. Now he stands accused of mortgage fraud in a scandal that underscores not only his hypocrisy but the broader corruption embedded in the Democratic Party. The Gateway Pundit first broke this story, reporting that Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William Pulte referred Schiff for criminal investigation earlier this year. In May, Pulte sent the referral to Attorney General Pam Bondi alleging that Schiff falsified bank documents and property records “in multiple instances” to secure more favorable loan terms between 2003 and 2019.

According to this State Department tweet, the program is being paused while officials review the "process and procedures" that have allowed a stream of injured children from Gaza, often accompanied by several family members, into the country.
