Miranda Devine: Trump is the White House
host with the most as he gives wide-ranging
interview for our debut podcast

When you meet Donald Trump, the first thing you notice is his hospitality. He is a bountiful host who always wants to make visitors feel comfortable. He will quite literally offer you the food off his plate. He will endure constant bruises on the back of his hands from well-wishers showing their gratitude with vigorous handshakes that he reciprocates warmly, even though he’s a renowned (maybe reformed) germaphobe. He likes people and is always generous with his time and attention. It’s a quality his detractors will never allow but it has been a big part of his success.

Good interview. Trump is relaxed and talks about his early life among many other things.

The U.N. nuclear watchdog’s board of governors on Thursday formally found that Iran isn’t complying with its nuclear obligations for the first time in 20 years, a move that could lead to further tensions and set in motion an effort to restore United Nations sanctions on Tehran later this year. Iran reacted immediately, saying it will establish a new enrichment facility “in a secure location” and that “other measures are also being planned.” “The Islamic Republic of Iran has no choice but to respond to this political resolution,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said in a joint statement.

One of the smoking guns in the ongoing Trump administration probe into the COVID-19 cover-up is evidence suggesting that the Chinese suspected the novel virus may have neurological symptoms just weeks after it was officially identified, despite the fact that coronaviruses, historically, primarily affect the respiratory and digestive systems. Recommended for youSpecifically, two scientists listed as authors on the first Chinese patent for a COVID-19 vaccine—that remarkably came about a month after the virus crossed the border into the U.S.—are affiliated with a neuroscience institute in Beijing that works closely with the Chinese military.

There’s an old joke line that says, “Don’t confuse me with facts.” It’s also a leftist line of argument. I used to try to argue with a leftist about politics, but whenever I’d bring in facts to counter his theories, he’d storm out, furious that I was polluting the discussion with how the world actually works. Greta Thunberg is a leftist down to the marrow of her bones, so she, too, refuses to have her ideological purity tainted by the facts. That’s why, when Israel attempted to show her and her fellow “selfie” yacht comrades footage of the October 7 atrocities,

Over 80 people were arrested as a massive anti-ICE protest in Lower Manhattan Tuesday devolved into chaos with shrieking, sign-holding demonstrators flooding the streets, clashing with cops and hurling objects at officers. Thousands of angry New Yorkers took to the streets near Foley Square in the shadow of City Hall to protest the Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportations ongoing in the city and throughout the country. As the sky grew dark, over 80 demonstrators were taken into custody by the NYPD at several locations across downtown in the area surrounding Federal Plaza, according to police sources.

Here’s Who REALLY Denied National Guard
Troops on January 6—And It Wasn’t Trump

Ever since President Trump federalized the National Guard to restore order in Los Angeles and protect federal officers from violent left-wing mobs, the left has been screeching the same tired lie: that Trump “refused” to send the Guard to the Capitol on January 6. It’s a narrative being pushed by Democrat hacks, legacy media mouthpieces, and keyboard warriors who conveniently ignore the facts. The truth? Trump absolutely did authorize and recommend the deployment of National Guard troops ahead of January 6—multiple times.

Mayor Eric Adams condemned the ongoing anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles and warned New Yorkers not to get any ideas about starting similar violent protests back home. “The escalation of protests in Los Angeles over the last couple of days is unacceptable and would not be tolerated if attempted in our city,” Adams said during a press conference Monday alongside NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch. Adams and Tisch appeared as a united front as the mayor encouraged would-be protesters to “choose peace and compassion over anger and retaliation.”

The FBI has identified the masked brute caught on camera hurling bricks at federal law enforcement authorities during the Los Angeles anti-ICE riots, US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced as she warned other instigators “You can’t hide.” “That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house as we speak,” Bondi told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday. “His name is Reyes. He is going to be on the most wanted list,” the attorney general added, suggesting the individual was still at large. US Attorney Bill Essayli later identified the suspect as 40-year-old Elpidio Reyna.
President Donald Trump pushes ahead with

Donald Trump made no secret of his willingness to exert a maximalist approach to enforcing immigration laws and keeping order as he campaigned to return to the White House. The fulfillment of that pledge is now on full display in Los Angeles. The president has put hundreds of National Guard troops on the streets to quell protests over his administration’s immigration raids, a deployment that state and city officials say has only inflamed tensions. Trump called up the California National Guard over the objections of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom — the first time in 60 years a president has done so — and is deploying active-duty troops to support the guard.

As President Trump called for the National Guard to enforce order in Los Angeles amid protests over ICE activity, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem tells “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” that “we are not going to let a repeat of 2020 happen,” referring to the unrest in Minneapolis following the killing of George Floyd. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz deployed the state’s National Guard to deal with the 2020 riots in Minneapolis.

We’ve seen the playbook so many times: Democrats accuse conservatives of fomenting violence, white supremacist action, and “insurrection.” While actual examples of the “right-wing” brutality that they endlessly scream about are few and far between, they stay quite busy in the meantime promoting their own domestic terrorism in the form of the devastating urban destruction during the George Floyd-BLM riots of 2020, the antisemitic demonstrations on college campuses that started in 2023, and now in recent days, the active and hostile resistance against law enforcement officers from our own country.

Last week’s debate confirmed that the Democrats running for mayor are competing almost exclusively on a near-irrelevant issue: who can fight President Donald Trump the most. The field of nine mentioned Trump more than 80 times in two hours; the only other theme to come close was the eight candidates’ pile-on of the clear frontrunner among them, Andrew Cuomo. And even Cuomo has joined the club-Trump club: When he first entered the race, he talked about working with the White House; now he, too, vows to resist. Reality check: New York City depends on more than $100 billion a year in federal aid.

Let’s talk about a day that California Governor Gavin Newsom would probably like to erase from memory. Tuesday was an absolute trainwreck for the Golden State’s fearless leader, marked by technical blunders, shameless begging, and a string of outright lies that would make even the most seasoned politician blush. If you thought Newsom’s leadership couldn’t sink any lower, buckle up, because this was a masterclass in humiliation. Riots are tearing through the city over federal immigration enforcement, yet Newsom can’t even bring himself to condemn the violence. Instead, he’s pointing fingers at President Trump while dodging

There are 1,800 protests planned across the country for June 14, with millions expected to attend. The protests have been organized to coincide with Trump's birthday and the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army, which the administration plans to commemorate with a tank parade through Washington, D.C. Newsweek has contacted the No Kings team for comment via email. Since Trump returned to office in January, there have been nationwide protests—such as the "Hands

US Navy Secretary John Phelan has told the Senate the service needs the right to repair its own gear, and will rethink how it writes contracts to keep control of intellectual property and ensure sailors can fix hardware, especially in a fight. Phelan cited the case of the USS Gerald R. Ford, America's largest and most expensive nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, which carried a price tag of $13 billion. The ship was struggling to feed its crew of over 4,500 because six of its eight ovens were out of action, and sailors were barred by contract from fixing them themselves.

The short-lived feud between President Trump and Elon Musk seems to be winding down, as Musk expressed regret in an early morning social media post for some of his comments criticizing his former political ally. “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week,” Musk wrote on X. “They went too far.” While Musk did not say which posts he felt contrite about, one was likely his accusation that Trump’s name appeared in the files of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Musk deleted that post less than two days after making it. He also deleted a separate post that called for Trump’s impeachment.

There’s a plausible argument that the current spate of civil unrest in deep blue cities is actually a MAGA setup ultimately benefitting Donald J. Trump. Indeed, the “optics” resemble an over-the-top horror movie for the Democrats: giant Mexican flags brandished over burning car wrecks; chunks of cement dropped on police from freeway overpasses; uncontrolled looting; a curfew ignored; molotov cocktails thrown; childishly scrawled f-word graffiti, and vast arrays of mostly young but physically unattractive people. Where’s the mass appeal in that picture? Hollywood would reject a script like that as unbelievable and disgusting.

Norton, who turns 88 on Friday, replied “yeah, sure,” after she was asked if she is seeking reelection, Politico reported. Norton’s comments come after several recent reports have highlighted concerns over her age and ability to continue serving in Congress effectively.
