This past weekend wasn’t the first time Los Angeles has experienced large-scale riots, chaos, and violence. The city has seen multiple major episodes of civil unrest in recent history. In 2020, protests and riots erupted following the death of George Floyd, and in 1992, widespread violence broke out after the brutal beating of Rodney King by four police officers.
In April of 1992, following the acquittal of the 4 officers accused of excessive force against Rodney King, LA erupted into chaos. While the protests started peacefully, they very quickly turned into riots. People began to loot liquor stores and other businesses, going so far as to assault the business owners.

Last Friday, the Trump administration announced the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, While Democrats and the mainstream media may want to put out a particular narrative about this "Maryland man" or even "Maryland father," the truth is he's being brought back to face some pretty serious charges.
As much as Abrego Garcia's lawyers and supporters may have fought for him to return, Alan Dershowitz, who has been a defense attorney for some pretty high profile figures, told NewsNation that same day that a "big mistake" was made.
Dershowitz described the move as "a big mistake, big blunder by his lawyers,"

Mad Maxine Waters attended the riots Sunday in Los Angeles to show her support for the lawless protesters, illegal aliens, and violent leftists.
At one point Maxine Waters attempted to barge into the the Los Angeles Federal Building to check on arrested SEIU President David Huerta. Despite her “congressional authority,” she was denied entry.
Maxine tried to grab the door before it closed.
The officers stationed outside the building slammed the door in her face… After she said she was using her Congressional authority to enter.
It was a rough day for Mad Maxine.
Stu, who captured the video, posted this as a follow-up.

Tony Moon’s Twitter account was likely going off the rails yesterday. Everyone who remembers the 1992 LA riots and the ‘Rooftop Koreans’ was either mentioning him or making references, leading to others tagging him in their threads. Moon is one of the original rooftop Koreans who grabbed their guns and took defensive positions atop their businesses as hordes of rioters descended upon them. It’s a classic American tale: invoking one’s Second Amendment rights to defend themselves and their property when law and order are absent, and the police cannot be relied on amid the chaos.

After the National Guard descended on Los Angeles Saturday night to quell a violent leftist mob disrupting Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in the area, Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino reassured Americans Sunday morning that deportations will continue.
"We are not stopping or slowing down. We are not intimidated or apprehensive. Illegal immigration operations will continue, and anyone using violence to obstruct or impede these operations will be investigated and prosecuted," Bongino posted on X. "Multiple arrests have already been made, in both LA and NY, and additional investigations are ongoing, and producing results."
"Many of these subjects will face federal charges, along with local and state charges.

How many times can we keep saying that Democrats haven’t learned a thing from the 2024 election? It’s hard to believe that we’ve now reached a point where Democrats flying down to El Salvador to wine and dine an illegal immigrant MS-13 gang member were the good old days because the radical left has now escalated to rioting.
This isn’t just political theater anymore. It’s a dangerous meltdown. Violence and destruction aren’t just tolerated—they’re part of the left’s political playbook. When they don’t get their way, they pour gasoline and light a match, leaving chaos in their wake.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is threatening to send active duty U.S. Marines to calm riots in Los Angeles if the National Guard can't get the job done.
"The violent mob assaults on ICE and Federal Law Enforcement are designed to prevent the removal of Criminal Illegal Aliens from our soil; a dangerous invasion facilitated by criminal cartels (aka Foreign Terrorist Organizations) and a huge NATIONAL SECURITY RISK," Hegseth warned on X Saturday night. "Under President Trump, violence & destruction against federal agents & federal facilities will NOT be tolerated. It’s COMMON SENSE. The [Defense Department] is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles.

A North Dakota man is accused of threatening to kill former President Barack Obama, breaking into a National Park Service historic site and threatening other people.
A federal grand jury indictment filed Wednesday levies felony charges of burglary, damage to property of the U.S., terrorizing, malicious mischief, threatening to kill a former U.S. president and three counts of threatening interstate communications against Ian Patrick Stewart of Williston.
The indictment said Stewart “did knowingly and willfully threaten to kill and inflict bodily harm upon” Obama between April 20 and May 13. The document doesn’t detail the alleged threat. Stewart also is accused of threatening to injure three Williston residents in May.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler revealed that the SBA would be moving its Regional Office out of Los Angeles after Mayor Karen Bass refused to cooperate with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
In a post on X, Loeffler responded to a post in which Bass said she was “deeply angered” after hearing “reports of federal immigration enforcement actions” being taken in the city. In Bass’s statement, she said her office was in “close coordination with immigrant rights community organizations” and would “not stand for this.”
“Los Angeles is openly refusing to cooperate with ICE – siding with illegal aliens over American citizens and small businesses,”

Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said Friday on CNN’s “The Agenda” that Elon Musk’s government contracts should be cancelled and President Donald Trump should be impeached.”
Host Kasie Hunt said, “Elon Musk, do you think that this back and forth with the president has made it more or less likely the president’s agenda will get passed? And should Democrats be embracing Elon Musk right now?”
Raskin said, “So first of all, the wretched, ugly, gargantuan bill that they’re trying to drive through, Congress will throw 14 million Americans off of their Medicaid and drive millions of Americans off of their SNAP benefits, which is nutrition, which is food for people.
