In Alaska, we seem to have a little of everything. We have great hunting and fishing, awe-inspiring scenery, and a landscape that's vast beyond our ability to easily comprehend. We have vast mineral resources, vast energy resources, great, warm, friendly people, and much more.
And, as seems to be the way of things in these times, we have a few disaffected commies who decided to emulate their ideological brethren and organize a protest of the Anchorage Correctional Complex, where 40 illegal aliens are housed awaiting repatriation.
It didn't seem like their hearts were really in it.

FBI Director Kash Patel said the Bureau is investigating the source of funding that is fueling the riots in Los Angeles, California.
Sections of Los Angeles have seen rioters engaging in property damage, looting stores, clashing with law enforcement authorities, and vandalizing police vehicles. The riots are a response to a series of raids Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out in the area last week. However, many view the unrest as a statement against the Trump administration’s mass deportations of illegal immigrants.
In a statement to Just the News, Patel confirmed that the FBI “is investigating any and all monetary connections responsible for these riots.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shut down a Democratic senator on her hypocrisy related to the riots happening in Los Angeles, California.
While testifying before the Senate, Hegseth engaged in a fiery exchange with Sen. Betty McCollum (D-MN) over President Donald Trump’s decision to send National Guard troops and Marines to Los Angeles (Snip) Hegseth responded, explaining that he recalled the George Floyd riots “when Gov. Walz abandoned a police precinct and allowed it to be burned to the ground, and also allowed five days of chaos to occur inside the streets of Minneapolis.”

California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom is doing everything he can to blame his leadership failures on President Donald Trump, including making things up.
Newsom claims he didn't have a phone call with Trump about the ongoing riots and violence in Los Angeles. [Tweet, video]
Except he did. Here are the receipts:
"First call was not picked up. Second call, Gavin picked up, we spoke for 16 minutes. I told him to, essentially, “get his ass in gear,” and stop the Riots, which were out of control. More than anything else, this shows what a liar he is - Said I never called. Here is the evidence," Trump said.

The mask is off. In their never-ending quest to dismantle law and order, Democrats have fully exposed their hand in the ongoing Los Angeles riots. And leading the charge in revealing the left's true anti-enforcement agenda is none other than Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.
Since Friday, Los Angeles has been anything but peaceful. Violent anti-ICE riots have erupted, targeting federal agents, police, and private property. President Donald Trump, acting swiftly to protect Americans, deployed the National Guard. Meanwhile, Democrats, in typical fashion, were busy downplaying the violence and launching attacks on Trump, pouring gasoline on an already raging fire. Their claims of having the situation "in hand"?
Seriously?

Even driverless robo cars know a riot when they "see" one. That's why Waymo has temporarily suspended service in the riot-torn parts of L.A. until the so-called leadership gets its act together.
Fortunately, the Waymo firebombings could come back to bite the rioters in the backside. Waymo has offered police help in identifying the bad actors who torched their $200,000 cars.
I hope those bad guys said "cheese" before they got their pictures taken.
But first things first. As you may have noticed, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom have trotted out the approved Democrat talking points, accusing President Donald Trump of "stoking chaos"

Those “mostly peaceful” leftist protests in Los Angeles are not only violent, but they also have reportedly turned deadly.
Close to businesses looted in downtown L.A. by the radical leftist protesters whom Democrat California officials and media are defending, a dead body was found. Details have yet to be released, but the corpse was found in the midst of an area that was trashed by the anti-ICE, anti-Trump rioters.
The shocking story about the dead body comes after Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom sued Trump and the Department of Defense for taking over and sending in the California National Guard

This past weekend wasn’t the first time Los Angeles has experienced large-scale riots, chaos, and violence. The city has seen multiple major episodes of civil unrest in recent history. In 2020, protests and riots erupted following the death of George Floyd, and in 1992, widespread violence broke out after the brutal beating of Rodney King by four police officers.
In April of 1992, following the acquittal of the 4 officers accused of excessive force against Rodney King, LA erupted into chaos. While the protests started peacefully, they very quickly turned into riots. People began to loot liquor stores and other businesses, going so far as to assault the business owners.

Last Friday, the Trump administration announced the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, While Democrats and the mainstream media may want to put out a particular narrative about this "Maryland man" or even "Maryland father," the truth is he's being brought back to face some pretty serious charges.
As much as Abrego Garcia's lawyers and supporters may have fought for him to return, Alan Dershowitz, who has been a defense attorney for some pretty high profile figures, told NewsNation that same day that a "big mistake" was made.
Dershowitz described the move as "a big mistake, big blunder by his lawyers,"

Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters arrived in downtown Los Angeles amid the violent anti-ICE protests on Sunday to stir up trouble.
Maxine Waters fanned the flames and taunted National Guard troops who were called in to quell the riots.
President Trump sent 2,000 troops to downtown Los Angeles on Saturday after California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom refused to act.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced he will mobilize Active Duty Marines from Camp Pendleton in northern San Diego to stop the violence.
On Sunday it was revealed elements of the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from the California National Guard was deployed to downtown Los Angeles.

Mad Maxine Waters attended the riots Sunday in Los Angeles to show her support for the lawless protesters, illegal aliens, and violent leftists.
At one point Maxine Waters attempted to barge into the the Los Angeles Federal Building to check on arrested SEIU President David Huerta. Despite her “congressional authority,” she was denied entry.
Maxine tried to grab the door before it closed.
The officers stationed outside the building slammed the door in her face… After she said she was using her Congressional authority to enter.
It was a rough day for Mad Maxine.
Stu, who captured the video, posted this as a follow-up.

Tony Moon’s Twitter account was likely going off the rails yesterday. Everyone who remembers the 1992 LA riots and the ‘Rooftop Koreans’ was either mentioning him or making references, leading to others tagging him in their threads. Moon is one of the original rooftop Koreans who grabbed their guns and took defensive positions atop their businesses as hordes of rioters descended upon them. It’s a classic American tale: invoking one’s Second Amendment rights to defend themselves and their property when law and order are absent, and the police cannot be relied on amid the chaos.
