MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will seek to energize activists at Democratic state conventions in South Carolina and California on Saturday, as the party's 2024 vice presidential nominee works to keep up the high national profile he gained when Kamala Harris selected him as her running mate. Walz, a former schoolteacher who went to Congress and then became his state’s governor, will keynote the South Carolina gathering in Columbia, traditionally a showcase for national-level Democrats and White House hopefuls. Another leader who often appears on those lists, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, spoke Friday night at the party’s fundraising dinner.

Hunter Biden was seen out and about with his family in Cape Town, South Africa, Friday amid Republicans' investigation into an alleged "conspiracy" related to his father's cognitive decline as president. The embattled son of the former president toured Cape Town with his wife, Melissa Cohen Biden, and son, Beau Biden Jr., driving a rented Toyota sedan, a big change from the black Chevy Suburbans he was used to traveling in before President Donald Trump yanked his Secret Service detail. In March, Trump terminated Hunter Biden's Secret Service detail after former President Joe Biden extended his son's detail indefinitely.

If the British coined the term “too clever by half,” Vice President JD Vance might own the political update of “too smart by 99%.”
And Donald Trump might wonder at what point he asks his veep: please stop helping — at least when it comes to Trump’s greatest legacy and biggest asset, the Supreme Court.
Vance recently offered his own take on the “role” of that body, in particular Chief Justice John Roberts’ “profoundly wrong sentiment” that the judiciary exists to “check the excesses of the executive.”
The vice president finger-wagged that this was “one-half” of the job; the “other half” was to stop a “small but substantial number”

Rosie O’Donnell left the U.S. in high dudgeon after President Donald Trump reclaimed the White House. Now she is saying – no, promising – a return is impossible until “this administration is completely finished, and hopefully held accountable for their crimes.”
The self-deported Ireland resident made the revelation in an interview with Variety chief correspondent Daniel D’Addario.
The interviewer asked the former daytime talk show host, “I was delighted to see you pop up on “Hacks” recently as well, playing yourself. Any other comedies you’re thinking about joining?”
O’Donnell responded by saying other projects have been in the pipeline, however the current occupant of the White House puts her off:

Newly declassified documents from a 2019 FBI analysis released on May 28, 2025 show that Nellie Ohr allegedly “knowingly“ provided false testimony under oath to Congress about her actions related to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Ohr was a Fusion GPS contractor who provided research and intel in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, played a central role in pushing for declassification of the analysis.
An analysis of the documents concluded that Ohr’s statements obstructed congressional investigations and violated federal statutes 18 USC §1001 (false statements) and 18 USC §1505 (obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies, and congressional committees).

On Friday, Joe Biden made his first public speech since news of his cancer diagnosis, and true to form, he made the moment about himself. Speaking at Veterans Memorial Park in New Castle, Del., Biden used the occasion not to focus on the brave men and women who gave their lives in combat but to relive personal memories and center the speech around his son Beau, who died of brain cancer, rather than in war. After making obligatory Memorial Day remarks, Biden shifted to talking about the “10th anniversary of the loss of my son Beau,” noting that he “spent a year in Iraq.”

Man, it must be brutal being a Democrat right now, breathlessly waiting for the '28 presidential election so you can finally get Trump out of your head and get a good old progressive back in the Oval Office. The problem? The potential candidate list so far is laugh-out-loud pathetic, a sad list of mostly failed “leaders” who almost all carry mountains of political baggage around their necks. You’ve got to choose between the Queen of Emptiness and Word Salads, former Democrat presidential nominee and VP Kamala Harris, the walking meme that is NY Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the not ready for prime time Illinois governor,

At the outset, let me state my bona fides. I voted for Trump three times. I publicly supported his candidacy back when the media deemed him and his supporters like me stupid racists.
That was back when “Trump is literally Hitler” was the meme of the moment amongst the kind of people who don’t know the meaning of Hitler and don’t know the meaning of “literally.” Which is to say, most of the current mainstream media.
For the record, Trump is not Hitler, not literally or metaphorically, nor is he a fascist.
Contrary to popular belief engendered by the lamestream media, the word “fascist” does not mean “Republican.”

Lester Holt hosted his last “NBC Nightly News” show on Friday after a 14 year tenure as its anchor. The highly decorated reporter bid viewers a farewell by reminding them of their core values that guide the team’s coverage.
“I’m so grateful for your trust around here,. Facts matter, words matter, journalism matters, and you matter,” Holt said.“Over the last decade, we have shared some dark and harrowing days and nights of our country, the pandemic, mass shootings, natural disasters, each testing our resilience and our compassion. That’s why I often like to leave you with something to smile about, moments that reassure and connect us,” he added.

My colleague Rusty Weiss reported on FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino's appearance on "Fox and Friends."
Bongino slammed former FBI Director James Comey - whom he termed a "big child" - explaining that his "86 47" post had now spawned copycats which the FBI now had to take time to investigate. Meanwhile, Comey is hitting the shows trying to promote his book and continuing to make twisted remarks. One of the other astonishing things Bongino revealed was that they found hidden bags of evidence "not processed through the normal procedure.

A Secret Service whistleblower has come forward with a shocking allegation: former President Joe Biden was so mentally impaired during his time in the White House that he would “get lost in his closet,” according to Sen. Josh Hawley. On Friday, Hawley revealed the disturbing claim as part of a broader accusation that Democrats engaged in a deliberate cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline—what he now calls one of the most egregious political scandals in modern presidential history.
“Listen, I'll tell you something that, uh, I haven't said before, 'cause it came from a Secret Service whistleblower this past year,” Hawley explained to Sean Hannity on Fox News.

Remember DJ Daniel? In case you don't, he's the 13-year-old boy with terminal brain cancer who appeared as a guest of Donald and Melania Trump at the president's speech to a joint session of Congress in March. Daniel dreams of becoming a law enforcement officer when he grows up, but the reality is that he may not reach those dreams. On that night in March, President Trump and Secret Service director Sean Curran made him an honorary Secret Service agent. If you still don't remember, he's the little boy with terminal brain cancer whom Democrats refused to stand up and clap for during the speech,
Comments:
The DOJ needs to take a good look at this as well. Sounds like aiding and abetting to me.
