With much of President Donald Trump’s agenda hinging on the “big, beautiful” budget bill, Republicans in Congress are . . . forming a circular firing squad. They need to buckle down and figure out the compromises to get it passed — fast. That means everyone will need to give ground — potentially including the prez. It’s time to slaughter some golden calves. On Friday, deficit hawks on the House Budget Committee derailed the bill, balking at “news” that it could add $3.3 trillion in red ink over the next decade. OK: Federal spending is out of control, and the final deal could certainly stand more cuts in (still-growing!) outlays,

According to a new report from the Los Angeles Times, Kamala Harris will spend her summer deciding between three options for her political future.
The first and most obvious option would be to retire from politics, which seems unlikely given her ego. Harris’s second option is a third attempt at running for president. According to the report, the third option is a run for California governor.
The report states, “According to several who’ve spoken with Harris, she is genuinely undecided, torn between concern and affection for her home state and an undimmed desire to be president.”

Like, say, Mike Pence, who in an interview Sunday with NBC "Meet the Press" host Kristen Welker, was asked if he was planning to run for president again. Mr. Pence's response acknowledges reality, that being that the only national contest he might stand a chance of winning would be an "Older Race Bannon Lookalike" contest.

It wasn’t until I finished compiling these examples that I realized that there was a theme, and it’s that progressive churches will preach anything but the gospel.

Speaking on the Pod Save America podcast, O’Rourke said, “We might very well lose the greatest country that this world has ever known,” he said, blasting Biden for clinging to power and ignoring widespread voter dissatisfaction. “It’s not just you and me, but our kids and grandkids… who might have to pay the price for this.”
