Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha is urging NATO leaders to invite Ukraine to join the Western military alliance during a meeting in Brussels next week, according to a letter sent to alliance leaders—reflecting the country's frenzied push to gain membership in the alliance in the final days of Biden's presidency. The letter, first reviewed by Reuters, comes as Ukraine has re-upped its request for NATO membership to help put an end to Russia's war, including a recent uptick in attacks on its energy infrastructure. It also comes as the Biden administration has granted Ukraine new permissions to fight back against Russia in their final months in office.

If Russia is so powerful as to threaten Western Europe/NATO why hasn't it defeated Ukraine after almost 3 years of conflict? IMO Because it is all Western propaganda fear tactics to continue funding their military industrial complex - Blackrock, Vanguard, State Street Your 401k is invested in Ukrainian death and destruction

NO! No NEW "members" who are already IN a State of War. Allowing them in requires a unanimous declaration of WAR by ALL members of NATO first. Ukraine should have a full/fair/free election first, partly to elect a Legal Govt, partly with ballot initiatives with questions about asking for NATO membership/or not, another for simply acknowledging the transfer of Crimea/or not, and another about the Dunbas and it's future. It WAS an "autonomous region", free to do what it pleased, NOT a unified part of Ukraine.(Essentially a Puerto Rico/Guam/Virgin Islands...or maybe a Guantanamo?) Most people there are ethnically Russian, and only a minority even speak Ukrainian, nearly ALL speak Russian(over 90%), Russian was the "Official language, and ONLY official language of the Govt there", Ukrainian(and other minority Languages) were only even "Allowed in Govt meetings/filings/courts" beginning a handful of years ago..

Ukraine DID have an election about EU membership already...no majority, it was a basically equal plurality of "remain as is...Join EU...Join Russian aligned nations"

No. That's what drove Putin crazy in the first place. I like #7 suggestion, that would ensure that NATO falls apart due to lack of funding, most of which US Taxpayers provide to protect a Europe that hates us but they love our money.

Which only proves (again) that Putin was right. These warmongers really want to start a global nuclear war, to fill their own pockets... some, the 'leaders' of nations and NATO, with graft; others, with profits from their stock holdings in Military Industrial Complex Corporation stocks. They think they will be safe in their bunkers, and still be rich when they finally crawl out of them. (they won't be). And as a bonus, if nothing else, They will make sure that Trump rules over only ashes, if they can't get rid of him completely.

President Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, after the first son was convicted in two separate federal cases earlier this year. The announcement was made by the White House on Sunday night. "Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter," Biden wrote in a statement. "From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted."

Navy Adm. Samuel Paparo is head of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. In Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, he took part in a discussion at the liberal Brookings Institution. Paparo discussed at length the military strength of China — he called it “the most capable potential adversary in the world” — and the challenges facing the United States in countering China’s power in the region. Paparo also addressed the growing costs of U.S. support of Ukraine, in its war with Russia, and Israel, in its war with Hamas and related organizations. This is from a report in the Defense Department publication defense.gov:

We are witnessing a historic counterrevolution after Trump's victory, far different from his first election in 2016. The orthodox and the supposed scripted future are now suspect. And they are likely to be dethroned -- from the trivial to the existential. Critics claim Trump has no mandate to stage such a counterrevolution. They argue that he did not win 51 percent of the popular vote or achieve a Reaganesque landslide in the Electoral College. Yet all the initiatives he advanced and won on polled landslide public approval. Despite being the target of Democrat lawfare for years, a defiant Trump promised to end an open border, massive illegal immigration, rising crime, and soaring prices.

A mentally challenged President Joe Biden turned 82 years old this week, a much-diminished man from his heyday as a Democratic Party Senate stalwart in the last century. But one part of his character is undimmed by the passage of the years: His legendary spite and gleeful willingness to betray his political foes. Knowing this, is he now about to set off a third world war to settle an election score with newly re-elected President Donald Trump, who Biden still calls an “existential threat” to America? We’re talking of course of Biden’s inexplicably dangerous decision to encourage Ukraine to use long-range U.S. missiles against Russian territory, which has already prompted a response

Yet a careful review of Hegseth’s background, paired with historical context and the challenges facing the Department of Defense, demonstrates that he is not only qualified but also uniquely positioned to lead in a time when bold, reform-minded leadership is desperately needed.

I appreciate their thoughtful feedback - and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I'll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General. Hillary Clinton is on her fourth memoir (believe it or not) and Bill needs to pull his weight here. The trouble is that while Bill’s memoir 1.0 was at least justified because he was the president of the United States, he hasn’t done anything since then, unlike Hillary, who really didn’t do much, but at least is out there

Rogers, as The Gateway Pundit reported, conceded his highly questionable Senate race in Michigan despite Trump winning, and he was very vocal in trashing President Trump in 2020 for challenging the rigged election. He would be a horrible pick for FBI director, especially concerning election integrity. Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post commending his career of “exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People.”
