A top Department of Justice spokesman in New York was caught on a hidden camera ripping Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for his recent prosecution of former President Donald Trump — accusing Bragg of conducting “lawfare” just to further his own political ambitions.
Nicholas Biase, chief spokesman for the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office, was secretly recorded tearing into the progressive prosecutor during a recent conversation with a so-called undercover operative from conservative podcaster Steven Crowder’s “Mug Club.”
“Honestly, I think the case is nonsense,” Biase was filmed saying to an unidentified woman on July 31 at what appears to be a bar.

It doesn't matter: when you live in a world where there are no consequences for your actions because of your ideology/political party affiliation, you can ignore any criticisms of your actions, no matter how lawless, reckless, or undemocratic they are.

We all knew that Bragg had a garbage case from the get-go but it takes somebody in a position of power to officially say it.

My guess is that if you asked practicing attorneys over drinks about the anti-Trump "lawfare", you'll get the same answer from at least 90% of them.
And you'd be stuck with the tab.

Someone is going to be looking for a new job soon. That being said, I hope some reported asks Alvin about the statement.

"I said these things in an effort to please and impress someone I just met, who was secretly filming me."
Um ok. Who are you trying to please and impress with your retraction, Nick?
He only has the guts to testify to a man's persecution to a pretty girl with a hidden mic.
Pathetic. Weakling.

Every single Prosecutor in the Manhattan DA office should be out of a job after their MISERABLE showing! Moreover, I trust the DOJ scum will be cashiered as well! (along with their undeserved pensions)

Two major problems in the USA.. ...irresponsible parents not raising their kids properly, if at all. And then the current irresponsible, and corrupt, democrat party. Kids can't make life decisions, so they need good parents. Adults can make their own decisions. Alan Bragg obviously made the decision to go along with the irresponsibly corrupt democrat party. That's what is playing out today in the courts.

While many commenters blast Bragg, the POS corrupt judge Merchan is as much at fault for this lawfare. If he were a real judge and not just a Democrat partisan in a black robe, this trial never would have happened.

Interesting information...just how it was obtained is a puzzle....and of course...WE all know it was a bogus indictment...but just who set it in motion...it couldn't have been Bragg himself...there's more to this story...I understand Bragg was hoping for notoriety and a sit at the big political table...but...who was pushing the buttons to indict...

In view of recent SCOTUS rulings, Judge Merchan would have to be Houdini to escape the nonsensical prosecution in this case. No amount of his blathering will justify anything but throwing this case out of the courtroom. If Merchan goes ahead with sentencing, it will be overturned, and when Trump is elected, Trump's new AG should move promptly to remove Merchan from the bench, with severe penalties, including losing his pension.

The Biase, not Bragg, is likely to be taken to the woodshed over this. Biase’s crime was speaking the truth, while Bragg is doing the Democrats will.
