Hunter Biden is pleading guilty to at least some of the nine tax evasion charges against him, in a stunning last-minute reversal at his criminal trial in Los Angeles.
The change was not due to a plea deal, with prosecutor Leo Wise telling Judge Mark Scarsi on Thursday: 'this is the first we're hearing of this'.
The shock revelation was made by Hunter's attorney Abbe Lowell in front of the judge, while 120 potential jurors waited next door to be selected for his trial.

Afraid to wait and trust kamala to pardon him or cummute his sentence.
joe will do it, tho.
So Hunter better hurry up and be sentenced.

Looks like they simply wasted the time and made a mockery of the Court.
The prosecutors should release all of the evidence they gathered so the public knows what happened and how he obtained the money he willfully didn't report as income.
The fines should be significant.
Does anyone know what Hunter is doing to earn an income now? How will he be able to pay his back taxes and the accumulated fees and interest due?

'In court Lowell told Judge Scarsi that Hunter would be taking an 'Alford plea', meaning he would accept a guilty verdict while maintaining his innocence.'
Soooo....will the judge go light for sentencing with this plea? Unsupervised probation for 90 days?
(Does this plea hide any illegal activities committed by The Big Guy?)

FTA: Hunter would be taking an 'Alford plea', meaning he would accept a guilty verdict while maintaining his innocence.
How can he maintain innocence? There is no doubt that he skipped out on paying taxed for several years.

Yes, full pardon as his dad heads off to the beach one last time. I am sure a lot of slimy news would have come out in a trial. Although I cannot think of of one slimy thing he has not done that we don't already know about. But there might have been a few surprises.

So, it isn't being called a "plea deal." You can bet your next paycheck that it was a deal, though. A deal that benefited the Biden crime family in the optimum way given the situation, the crimes. How much of this will be hidden from the public?

First poster had it right. Hunter knows Daddy's going to pardon him before 1/20/25. He wants this wrapped up so he can say "I'm not guilty" after he's pardoned for the offense he didn't commit.....

Huncher knows that the Big Guy will pardon him.
Delay sentencing until after the election, then he can be pardoned with no consequences and not a day in jail.
The 'Rat machine demanded that he avoid a trial. Make the plea, get it over with quickly.
Their allies in the Lamestreams will bury it.
Much easier than trying to bury all the daily stories that would come out during a trial... before the election. Stories that could implicate the Big Guy, and in any case would reflect badly on the HairSniffer administration and could peel votes away from Heels-Up Harris.
And that LAST is the most important!

They can't afford the facts dripping out everyday. Better to plead out and get his pardon by dad in November.

Will the Judge, and the public! get a full hearing on the charges? Who offered him this deal? Would a pardon include back taxes fines and interest? Will he get one of those 'pennies on the dollar offer-in-compromise' deals too? Hmpf. Guilty as sin - free as a bird.

#11, a "pocket" pardon. He already has it signed.

There must be some reason he changed his plea to guilty. On the surface it would be to get rid of the strings. Maybe it has to do with evidence that pleading guilty would eliminate - to protect dear old dad? - since he is more than likely going to be found guilty anyway. I don't think a pardon has much to do with it. He will get one but I don't see how this helps that. There have been preemptive pardons - before any trial e.g. the Iran-contra/Caspar Weinberger and 5 others, Ford's far reaching pardon of Nixon. It would also seem to run against the idea of having a conviction to pardon as a reason to plead guilty. The rules say there should be a length of time (5 years?) before an application for clemency. It may be simple trial tactics - keep the 'where there is smoke (lots of charges) there must be fire' (guilty of something) away from the jury or to keep the jury focused on the main defense. These sleazy people, family and administration have created a lasting tarnish on the government of our country and they will walk away "guilty as sin, free as a bird" indeed. And the corruption is so great it runs through all levels of government.

Hunter is protecting the Biden Crime Family. Plead guilty, no trial, and no evidence revealed in court.
Daddy will do his part of this quid pro quo and pardon Hunter.
