The Georgia high school shooter, who killed four and injured nine others in a rampage on Wednesday, has been pictured for the first time.
The gunman, named as 14-year-old Colt Gray, opened fire at Apalachee High School in Winder shortly after 10.20am - killing two classmates and two teachers.
Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said Gray immediately surrendered when confronted by school resource officers at the scene. He has since been charged with four felony counts of murder, and will be tried as an adult, the GBI confirmed.

Never, ever reporting the name of these vermin in the news would help defuse these crazies. Just report "the criminal" did this, no biography, nothing.
Make them anonymous criminal trash, and never print their name. This publicity fuels their insane, violent minds.....they think "I'll be FAMOUS".
No, you'll be totally unknown.

The Resource Officer should've put this mad dog down at the scene...

“ another horrific reminder of how gun violence continues to tear our communities apart”.
Seriously? This kid shows exactly where the problem lies. He was obsessed with other mass shooters and the carnage. It’s not about guns, guns have been available to kids for centuries. This problem is quite current in our country’s timeline. There’s a problem with todays kids!

Whether gun violence or any other form of violence, it may not be inappropriate to consider the impact the entertainment industry has played in “grooming” young minds now bereft of the simple, normal pleasures of childhood like playing outdoors until parents call them home for the evening after having been playing outdoor games, enjoying crafts, exploring woodlands, fishing, bicycling, roller skating, using one’s imagination in creating a form of “entertainment” that was decent, constructive, educational, fun and replacing the innocence of childhood by having instilled/saturated young minds with violence in one form or another through cartoons, games, music, videos, etc., that may have made it difficult for some youngsters to distinguish fantasy from reality—to distinguish good from evil, to distinguish compassion instead of mercilessness. Children now seem glued to prepackaged “entertainment” and too often incapable of carrying on conversations or become annoyed with having their “entertainment” interrupted. Add to that parents having drifted away from the responsibility of bringing children up with mainline religious foundations that has resulted in today’s society’s moral depravities. Proper parenting is an absolute must if children are to become responsible adults. Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Re#5, he got it as a Christmas present. It is an AR15 type rifle.
Perspective-- I got my first rifle at 13, and bought a surplus Mauser rifle thru the mail when 16. My brother bought several rifles thru the mail as a young teen......and we never misused them.
Not a gun problem, a sanity problem.

The incidence of school shootings appear to be directly proportional to the popularity of violent video games with children as young as elementary school age. Was the killer an obsessive video game player? Has anyone done a study on the effects of video games that allow users to play the role of a psychotic mass murderer? Are those games designed to promote murder in young minds? Why are they so widely available with so little comment by our press and political leadership? Are they being used as a means to an end, that of disarming the populace?
