Johnstown, Pa. (AP) — A man at Donald Trump’s rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, stormed into the press area as the former president spoke Friday but was surrounded by police and sheriff’s deputies and was eventually subdued with a Taser.[Snip]
The incident happened amid heightened scrutiny of security at Trump rallies after a gunman fired at him, grazing his ear, during an outdoor rally in nearby Butler, Pennsylvania. Security at political events has been noticeably tighter since the shooting.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s VP pick, Nicole Shanahan, has launched a direct assault on the epidemic plaguing the political landscape: Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).
The ad opens with a stark question: “Are you or your loved ones suffering from illnesses such as TDS?”
It paints a vivid picture of individuals who have become so consumed by their hatred for Trump that they are willing to overlook critical issues facing the country, including skyrocketing inflation, rampant illegal immigration, and corporate corruption.
The message is clear: this obsession with Trump has turned rational discourse into an echo chamber of anger and denial. The ad suggests that many Americans are more focused on vilifying Trump

Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris is facing a severe crisis with the pro-Palestinian wing of her party after she doubled down on her and President Joe Biden’s Israel policies in her CNN interview Thursday.
CNN’s Dana Bash pressed Harris on arms policy toward Israel on Thursday night. After Harris initially skirted a direct question about potentially withholding “some” arms to Israel, as the pro-Palestinian Uncommitted movement has been demanding for seven months, Bash did not let her off the hook. Following up on the same question, she drew a “No” from Harris when she asked if there would be any “change in policy in terms of arms and so forth”

After five weeks of slobbering media coverage akin to the rhetorical version of a hot stone massage, Kamala Harris finally left the bubble that has carried her to record fundraising and competitive poll numbers with Donald Trump in key swing states.
And then the bubble burst.
The candidacy of the past 40 days as the Democratic nominee has been almost out of an Artificial Intelligence creation.
Harris was not allowed to speak to the press, nor was her running mate, Tim Walz.
Everything was packaged, scripted and homogenized.
When the candidates did speak, they were guided by their new god: a teleprompter.
But now they had to take questions from CNN’s Dana Bash.

The University of Michigan’s club fair quickly descended into chaos Wednesday afternoon when police shut down an anti-Israel protest after a day of antics from student activists.
The protesters, there to demand that the school divest from all companies that support Israel, identified themselves as members of the TAHRIR Coalition, whose name is an acronym for “Transparency, Accountability, Humanity, Reparations, Investment, and Resistance.”
The school’s club fair was disrupted almost immediately by a sit-in of a few dozen anti-Israel demonstrators chanting “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” — a slogan that implies the state of Israel must be eliminated.

“Over the same period, Trump’s odds of victory in November improved from 21/20 (48.8 percent) before the interview to 20/21 (51.2 percent), according to U.K. based bookmaker Betfair,” the outlet noted.

As for her answers: Harris was vague, policy-free, and at times just plain full of it.

The narrative engineering within the interview, which includes soft guidance by Dana Bash, is transparent and openly visible.
The backlash against CNN is also very visible in all social media examples where the interview is being highlighted. To present the post-broadcast coverage, CNN has uploaded the interview in three segments. You will find them below. Kamala Harris’ nasal voice has always been painful;

The entire Kamala Harris campaign relies on you knowing nothing about Kamala Harris.
First rule of Kamala Harris Fight Club: Nobody talks about Kamala Harris. You must never mention her positions. You must never mention what her crap administration has done. You must never mention anything of the sort. And you must certainly never attempt to get to the underlying philosophy that motivates her politics. You must never ever attempt to do that.
That’s because if you dig just a tiny bit, you find that the Democratic Party has gone so radically far to the Left that they are now indistinguishable from the Democratic Socialists of America.

Kamala Harris was last night ripped to shreds for her 'word salad' answers in a softball liberal media interview - her first since Joe Biden dropped out 40 days ago.
The Democratic nominee appeared beside her running mate Tim Walz for an hour-long broadcast - which in reality amounted to less than half an hour of actual questioning by Dana Bash.
The liberal commentariat claimed that she had succeeded by following the tenet of 'do no harm' during the pre-recorded broadcast from Savannah, Georgia.

Is Kamala Harris drunk?
Kamala Harris and Stolen Valor Tim Walz spoke at a campaign rally in Savannah, Georgia on the final day of their bus tour.
With no famous singer performing, the Harris campaign had to bus in supporters.

She managed to make Joe Biden look coherent.
“He even called for termination of the United States supreme, the c— the supreme land of our nation – the United States Constitution!” Harris said.

During a portion of an interview with CNN that took place on Thursday that was aired on Thursday’s broadcast of “The Lead,” 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris responded to a question on her policy changes by saying that her “values have not changed.” She also stated that the Inflation Reduction Act is an implementation of the values of the Green New Deal.CNN host and Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash asked, “Generally speaking, how should voters look at some of the changes that you’ve made — that you’ve explained some of here — in your policy, is it because you have more experience now

Former President Donald Trump asked a federal court late Thursday to intervene in his New York hush money criminal case, seeking a pathway to overturn his felony conviction and indefinitely delay his sentencing next month.
Lawyers for the current Republican nominee asked the federal court in Manhattan to seize the case from the state court where it was tried, arguing that the historic prosecution violated his constitutional rights and ran afoul of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent presidential immunity ruling.

As the back-to-school school season kicks off, the Vermont Department of Health is encouraging school employees and others to refrain from referring to children as a "son" or "daughter" and instead embrace gender-neutral terminology.[Snip] The agency advised the use of the terms "child" or "kid" to refer to someone's offspring as opposed to "son" or "daughter." "This is gender-neutral and can describe a child who may not be someone's legal son or daughter," the Facebook post reads.

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday defended shifting away from some of her more liberal positions in her first major television interview of her presidential campaign, but insisted her “values have not changed” even as she is “seeking consensus.” Sitting with her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris was asked specifically about her reversals on banning fracking and decriminalizing illegal border crossings, positions she took during her last run for president. She confirmed she does not want to ban fracking, an energy extraction process key to the economy of swing-state Pennsylvania, and said there “should be consequence” for people who cross the border without permission.

Vice President Kamala Harris took ownership of the policies that led to costs soaring about 20 percent across the board during CNN’s Thursday interview.
“There’s more to do. But that’s good work,” Harris said about “Bidenomics,” as CNN’s Dana Bash referenced the economic policies under the Biden-Harris administration: “You have been vice president for three and a half years. The steps that you’re talking about now, why haven’t you done them already?” Bash asked Harris.
“Well, first of all, we had to recover as an economy, and we have done that. I’m very proud of the work that we have done that has brought inflation down

CNN’s Dana Bash took presidential candidate Kamala Harris to task on her past calls to ban fracking during a much-anticipated televised interview on Thursday.
During the 2020 presidential primary, Kamala Harris said she would ban fracking.
“There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking,” Harris said on the debate stage. “And starting with what we can do on day one around public lands. There has to be legislation. Yes. This is something I’ve taken in California. I have a history of working on this issue … We just have to acknowledge that the residual impact of fracking is enormous in terms of the impact on the health and safety of communities.”

On Thursday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “The Hill,” Harris-Walz Campaign Principal Deputy Campaign Manager Quentin Fulks said that he doesn’t think 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris regrets suing the Obama administration to block fracking and “the Vice President has always kept to her values, and that’s what she’s going to continue to do as President of the United States.”
Host Blake Burman asked, “[F]racking, big issue in western Pennsylvania for a lot of folks there, when Kamala Harris was then the attorney general in California, she sued the Obama-Biden administration to try to stop fracking

Of all the questions Vice President Kamala Harris could have been asked during her CNN interview, the one I wanted to hear the answer to the most - and the one I figured wouldn't get asked - was on the subject of her staunch defense of President Joe Biden after his disastrous June debate performance.
Though it undeniably confirmed what Biden's critics had been saying about his cognitive health for years, and even sparked rumors that some Democrats were already talking that very night about how maybe he should consider dropping out of the race, Harris boiled the debate down to one bad night out of three and a half years

Vice President Kamala Harris continues to trail former President Donald Trump even after the Democratic National Convention (DNC), according to a Rasmussen Reports poll.
The poll, published on Thursday, finds that 48 percent of the 1,893 likely voter respondents back Trump, placing him two percentage points above Harris at 46 percent. Three percent of respondents are undecided.
Independents are breaking for Trump over Harris by an eight-point margin of 49 to 41 percent, while each candidate is backed by 82 percent of their party’s voters.
