The California legislature passed a bill banning local governments from adopting voter identification laws for local elections. California does not require identification to vote, but earlier this year, the City of Huntington Beach approved a voter ID requirement for municipal elections starting in 2026. This bill would override Huntington Beach’s policy.
“An overwhelming body of evidence proves that voter ID laws only subvert voter turnout and create barriers to law abiding voters,” wrote bill author State Sen. Dave Min, D-Irvine.

President Joe Biden appeared in public for the first time in three days, joining his wife Jill Biden on the beach near their vacation home in Rehoboth, Delaware.
The first lady’s two sisters and her senior adviser Anthony Bernal joined them on the hot, sunny day.
The group sat under two blue umbrellas. Some passers-by waved at them as they walked the beach. It's day nine of the president's two-week vacation. He often sits on the beach when he's in Rehoboth.
He had a blue bag with him and was seen removing a file folder stacked with papers.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation held a call with reporters Wednesday and detailed new information about the man, Thomas Crooks, who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024.
According to officials, who are still unwilling to confirm a motive, Crooks searched for both Biden and Trump events prior to attending the rally where he shot Trump in the ear, killed 50-year-old Corey Comperatore and severely wounded two more attendees. Investigators say they are certain Crooks acted alone and that

The biggest problem Democrats have this year is the mess they've made of the border. No matter how many cartwheels the media do for Kamala Harris, immigration remains a top issue for voters -- and they blame the Democrats. (I have a theory as to why: Probably because Democrats intentionally flung open the border and let in 10 million illegal immigrants.) The media-Democratic Party complex has tried all manner of lies to hide the crime, but those deceptions crumbled on the slightest examination. (Kamala was NOT the "border czar"!)

It's an all-too-common tale. A father and daughter who live in the same city but might as well be a million miles away, having drifted apart for whatever reason.
Yet this particular domestic fissure is suddenly now more poignant, as the daughter in question is the Vice President of the United States – and in the running for the top job.
And while Kamala Harris campaigns from her West Wing office, her 86-year-old father, Donald J. Harris, owns a home less than a mile away.Despite the proximity, however, there is no record of Donald meeting his famous daughter in the White House.

For a criminal defense attorney, the scariest moment in any trial is when his client unwittingly opens the door to otherwise inadmissible evidence.
On Thursday, during her acceptance speech, Vice-President Kamala Harris opened that door. The Trump people would have preferred that no one at the DNC talk about January 6, but Rep. Jamie Raskin shattered that hope on the convention’s opening night in a speech so laden with lies Satan was envious.
Harris was much more careful, too careful. So crafted were her words that they revealed a signature speech pattern. As shall be seen, this pattern was evident in her first -- and last -- interview about her role

Here are 31 questions, broken down by larger themes, that CNN’s Dana Bash could and should ask the duo during the joint interview:
ECONOMY:
1. Price controls typically result in shortages. Are your price control proposals for groceries not going to just create empty aisles and shelves?
2. Will providing every first-time home buyer with $25,000 cause the prices of homes to soar by a similar amount, rendering such an effort futile?

After nearly 40 days of no interviews or press conferences, Kamala Harris has finally decided to grace CNN’s Dana Bash with her presence in a safe, pre-taped two-on-one interview featuring VP pick Tim Walz. The Harris team certainly knew what they were doing when they selected Bash for this job; she’s been one of TV news’s most persistent Biden White House defenders, and her interviews with Democrats almost always include a handful of softballs and non-questions.
Bash surprised just about everyone during the first (and only) presidential debate between Biden and Trump.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is speaking out after the Biden-Harris administration slapped a sixth round of sanctions on Israelis on Wednesday, as part of an effort to appease anti-Israel critics on the political left.
“Israel views with utmost severity the imposition of sanctions on citizens of Israel. The issue is in a pointed discussion with the US,” Netanyahu said in a statement circulated by the Government Press Office.
The sanctions apply to an organization called Hashomer Yosh, which the Times of Israel describes as a group that “arranges for volunteers to provide help and support for at least 26 illegal farming outposts in the West Bank, among other activities.”

The word 'bias' is inadequate to describe what the mainstream media has devolved into. Bias means an inclination, leaning, or preference, but nothing beyond that.
For instance, you may prefer the films of Akira Kurosawa, but you also enjoy the work of other masters such as Kubrick, Hitchcock, Bergman, Eastwood, and Fellini.
The members of the media don't prefer the Democrats, they are Democrats. They must be seen as a department within the party whose job is to glorify everything the party does and denigrate anyone who stands against it.
Those who claim to cover the news must stop referring to themselves as the media. Because the media,

High LDL (otherwise known as ‘bad’) cholesterol is considered a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke, which together claim over 850,000 lives each year in the United States.
Hence, great efforts are expended in identifying high LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol in patients, and in lowering their levels.
But is cholesterol—and LDL cholesterol in particular—really the arch enemy of health that we’ve been led to believe?
“A person that has good, healthy levels of cholesterol means that their biochemical system is working in this particular spot—in terms of cholesterol regulation and (cholesterol) transport,” says biochemical researcher, Dr. Dayan Goodenowe.

Fox News commentator and author Tyrus nicknamed Kamala Harris “The Giggler” and V.P. candidate Tim Walz “The Snitch.” The label for Harris stems from her frequent nervous laughter that accompanies her public comments. Democrat party spin is now portraying the giggling as the politics of joy, and Republicans frame it as a lack of seriousness. More likely, it is simply a nervous response to uncomfortable situations. Walz earned the nickname for instigating a telephone hotline during the pandemic for people to inform on neighbors who were seen leaving their homes unmasked.

Still think Democrats are truly confident that Kamala Harris can win the election? I don't even think the Biden-Harris administration thinks she'll win. Let's consider the evidence.
First, you have the Biden-Harris administration trying, yet again, to put Trump in prison with the latest indictment from special counsel Jack Smith. The Supreme Court eviscerated Smith's case earlier this year with its immunity ruling, and not willing to accept defeat, he tried again, mere months before the presidential election.
It's hard to believe that the Biden-Harris administration is still using the Justice Department against Trump to stop him, but there must be a reason.

Is it relevant that a sitting vice president has won the presidency only once in 188 years?
Many vice presidents have gone on to win the presidency, but only after they left office. Only George H.W. Bush in 1988 was able to win the presidency running as a vice president. Before Bush, the last sitting vice president to win the presidency was Martin Van Buren in 1836.
Other sitting vice presidents who became president were elevated to office after the death of the president. Recently, Al Gore and Richard Nixon ran for president while serving as vice president. Both men went down to defeat although Nixon won eight years later.

One of the problems with reporters for The Washington Post is that they repeat the claims of liberals as if they are facts, without questioning the claims or pointing out the patently obvious problems with clearly false accusations.
You can see that in a Page One story Saturday in which the Post blithely reports that “critics” of a new rule approved by the Georgia State Election Board say it “would empower county election officials to withhold certification of results without justification, potentially thwarting a popular result.”
Nothing could be further from the truth, as is discernible by a simple reading of the rule, which the five-member Georgia State Election Board approved Aug.

Utah has filed suit in the Supreme Court against the federal government over the millions of acres that the feds hold and make inaccessible to the people of Utah. The state attorney general and governor, along with the state legislature, hope that the Supreme Court will affirm that the federal government has no constitutional right to hold “unappropriated” lands indefinitely. In this case, “unappropriated” land refers to property that the federal government is holding on to but not using for anything, such as national parks, timber harvesting, mining, grazing, or any other purpose.

The highest responsibility of our president is to ensure the defense of our nation — but for four years, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have neglected this crucial role.
Rising threats from China, Iran and Russia are a reminder that keeping America safe requires more than just reacting to attacks and provocations; it demands an active strategy to deter, dismantle, and destroy our enemies’ ability to do America harm.
Concerningly, commitment to this principle has been lacking most clearly at our border with Mexico. By allowing transnational drug cartels to operate with impunity — indeed,

AL-FARAA REFUGEE CAMP, West Bank (AP) — Israel launched a large-scale military operation in the occupied West Bank overnight and into Wednesday, with its forces killing 10 Palestinian militants and sealing off the volatile city of Jenin.
Israel has carried out near-daily raids in the West Bank since Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack out of Gaza triggered the ongoing war there. Israel says it is rooting out militants to prevent attacks on its citizens, while Palestinians in the West Bank fear it intends to broaden the war and forcibly displace more of them.
Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani, an Israeli military spokesman, said “large forces” had entered Jenin, long a militant stronghold, as well

We have another clip of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) seething over the fact that no National Guard units were deployed before the January 6 riot. Yet, her ire isn’t directed at Donald Trump, though she was later caught saying she’d hoped the former president came to the Capitol so she could slug him. Being escorted, Pelosi says, “We're calling the National Guard now? They should have been here to start out." (X Video)
"We have totally failed. We need to take some responsibility for not moving to secure [the Capitol],” she added.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who sought Secret Service protection for months and finally had it granted after the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, had his protection pulled because he suspended his presidential campaign, law enforcement sources told the New York Post.
Kennedy confirmed in an interview with Tucker Carlson this week that his Secret Service protection was pulled following his suspension announcement and endorsement of former President Donald Trump. “I’m technically still running for president. I’m running for president in 40 states. I did not terminate my campaign,” the Democrat-turned-independent told Carlson when asked about Secret Service pulling protection.

A shocking partisan switch is underway in the stratosphere of the tech titans: The industry known for its wokeness is betting big bucks on a Republican.
Last week former President Donald Trump gave a thumbs up to the notion of teaming up with billionaire innovator Elon Musk if he wins in November. Hours later, Musk posted a message on X: "I am willing to serve."Elon Musk for commerce secretary? Or perhaps for the newly created position of free speech czar?
Whether or not Musk actually joins a Trump administration -- Trump himself said Sunday that the mogul is likely too busy to do so but could "consult" --

The "mainstream" media messaging machine spent the whole Democratic convention channeling the notion of "reintroducing" Kamala Harris to America, relying on the assumption that vice presidents are only seen and not heard. For all the journalists who suddenly want to channel the same aspirational biracial narrative that marked Barack Obama's march to the White House, we must note that these autobiographies can be heavily shaped and edited, which is why the word "reintroduction" should land like a brick. Obama's "autobiography" was riddled with fictional elements, even composite girlfriends.

Stunning new video shows what a proposed glitzy $12 billion casino complex in Hudson Yards will look like while walking the High Line.
The animated rendering of the ambitious Manhattan project by Related Companies and Wynn Resorts is partly aimed at countering opposition from advocates of the High Line park and other critics who claim the plan would be too intrusive and obstruct views.
The video tries to make the case that the proposed complex — including a 5.6 acre park and spacious greenery between and around the buildings — actually blends in well with the High Line and the waterfront.

It’s really not Jack Smith, so we should drop the pretenses. Mary McCord, Norm Eisen and Andrew Weissmann have recrafted a new DC indictment against President Trump by dropping around 10 pages of fraudulent evidence from the prior indictment and labeling it a “superseding indictment.”
The 36-page indictment is available HERE. Essentially, after the supreme court decision on immunity, the majority of the previous case against President Trump was likely to fail, so Mary, Norm and Andrew went back and modified the previously lawfare to fit a narrower scale as requested by the supreme court.

Massachusetts Republicans have submitted a formal request with the state's government for information on the alleged "$1 billion in secret migrant crisis spending" as the Bay State grapples with the migrant crisis.
In a release from the state's Republican Party, MassGOP, the group demanded that Gov. Maura Healey's administration provides a detailed cost breakdown of the toll that the migrant crisis has caused for the state's residents.
"The Healey-Driscoll Administration has shrouded nearly $1 billion spent in secrecy, leaving Massachusetts residents in the dark," MassGOP chair Amy Carnevale said in a statement. "They have withheld critical information on 600 incidents involving police, fire and EMT.

A few months ago, we learned about a young man whose name we’re withholding, which is something we very rarely do, because he insists it’s for his safety.
This young Palestinian man is from a small village in the West Bank, and he grew up there with limited access to water and without a regular supply of electricity. Most of the kids he grew up with dropped out of school and went into manual labor. But this young man chose a different path. He won a scholarship to leave the West Bank and to study abroad for college. He ended up earning three degrees in three different countries.

Two days ago, Nate Silver, the media’s favorite polling “expert” who on election day in 2016 gave Hillary Clinton a 71% chance of winning, said polls had Kamala Harris 5 points ahead of Donald Trump and that “our best guess is that her lead will increase further, especially given that almost none of the polling was done after her strong acceptance speech on Thursday.”
Of course, Silver was hardly alone. The leftist media was fully expecting a big bounce in Harris’ poll numbers.
So, where is Kamala’s big convention bounce?
The Morning Consult found Harris’ lead over Trump unchanged since last Thursday.

Newly released video filmed by Nancy Pelosi’s daughter as the events of Jan. 6 unfolded reveals a furious House Speaker admitting that the National Guard should have been called in earlier as the unrest unfolded. However, seeing an opportunity—"never let a serious crisis go to waste,” in the words of former Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel—the San Francisco liberal quickly realized that she could use the situation to try to take down then-President Donald Trump. It’s hard to hear what she’s saying because they’re all wearing those ineffective, virtue-signaling COVID masks, but it’s pretty clear that she does admit, “We have totally failed.” You decide:

In another sign of a party realignment, the endorsement of Trump by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. brings many voters to the Republican side. It creates a coalition of the anti-war Left and conservatives who recognize that only Trump can end the war in Ukraine and restore peace through strength for our country.
“Bobby and I will fight together to defeat the corrupt political establishment,” Trump declared to a full arena near Phoenix, which erupted in applause as RFK Jr. joined him on stage. RFK Jr. later told Tucker Carlson that he is joining Trump’s transition team to help pick who will be in the next Trump administration.

Continuing in the series of articles around the challenge to Trump staffing in 2025, we now shift focus to the FBI Director, Deputy Director and Chief Legal Counsel positions. However, in order to appropriately discuss this critical silo, it becomes very important for everyone to understand the current status of the FBI as the organization has self-identified. For those who followed the 2016 campaign of President Trump and then watched the 2017 attacks organized by the DOJ and FBI toward the incoming Trump administration, you may agree with me that a complete disassembly of the FBI is now warranted.

Vice President Kamala Harris will give her first interview as the Democrats’ presidential nominee Thursday to CNN — in a high-stakes test of her ability to defend her record and policies after weeks of avoiding such an exchange.
But Harris, 59, won’t be on her own — with CNN promoting it as a “joint interview” featuring both Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. Network anchor Dana Bash will conduct the interview — set to air at 9 p.m. ET— in Georgia, where Harris and Walz will be engaged in a bus tour of the battleground state.

They say history repeats itself. Properly forewarned, it doesn’t have to. As Americans prepare to write a pivotal history for the ages this November—one way or another—it might be helpful to take a quick look at an earlier moment in time when a much divided, fractured world faced a pivotal challenge with one man at the barricade and the rest of the world too complacent to help.
Constantinople, the city that Constantine the Great founded in 330 AD and that the Theodosian walls later protected, stood as the capital of the Roman Empire for 1,000 years.

Vice President Kamala Harris is the 2024 Democratic nominee. It’s time to do the one thing her campaign has avoided: interviews with the media. It’s part of public life. It’s undoubtedly part of being president of the United States. It’s the medium from which presidents, both past and present, have used the bully pulpit. Okay, maybe not so much in the present since Joe Biden slurs everything and has zero presence behind the seal. Yet, Harris’ team knows her record—it won’t be an easy task. Ms. Harris is now a full-blown supporter of the border wall, which marks another occasion in which the California liberal has tried to steal

On Tuesday night, Nicole Shanahan, Robert F. Kennedy’s running mate, joined Jesse Watters on FOX News to discuss Bobby’s platform to Make America Healthy Again.
Last Friday, following the DNC Convention, Bobby suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump for president.
This sent shockwaves through the liberal circles and legacy media outlets who were absolutely revolted with Bobby’s decision. These are the same people who said nothing when the Democrat Party denied Bobby permission to run in a fair primary that wasn’t rigged for Joe Biden.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign now claims she “does not support” Electric Vehicle (EV) mandates after years of supporting such mandates as a Senator and in her role in President Joe Biden’s administration.
According to The Spectator‘s Amber Duke, Harris’s campaign sent an email to supporters on Tuesday claiming “Vice President Harris does not support an electric vehicle mandate.”
The statement comes after years of Harris campaigning, championing, and supporting EV mandates that require automakers to produce and sell a certain percentage of EVs to American consumers.

MAGA’s attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, stem from “unapologetic misogyny” and “toxic masculinity,” as well as a refusal to “admit to themselves that she’s cute,” according to a left-wing Salon piece that accuses Trump’s team of seeking to “win over the worst men in the nation by appealing directly to their controlling, misogynist desires.”
The Tuesday essay, titled “MAGA attacks on Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter threaten to backfire on Donald Trump,” was penned by Salon senior politics writer Amanda Marcotte, who accused leading voices within the MAGA movement of “proving that they are weird” for their ongoing obsession with Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter.

ExxonMobil produced a report on Monday that anticipated oil demand reaching a “plateau” in 2030 and remaining fairly stable for the next 20 years — a prediction far out of line with political narratives of a “transition to green energy.”
ExxonMobil’s “plateau” of oil demand was calculated at 102.2 million barrels per day, which is roughly what global demand worked out to last year. The report predicted this equilibrium would be maintained by the developing world dramatically increasing oil consumption while the U.S. and Europe scale back their demand.
The overall vision of the report was a much slower, more limited, and more realistic “transition” than environmentalist politicians have demanded.

NEW YORK — Home improvement chain Lowe’s is scaling back its diversity, equity and inclusion policies, joining the ranks of several other companies that altered their programs since the U.S. Supreme Court outlawed affirmative action in college admissions or after facing a conservative backlash online.
In an internal memo shared by Lowe’s with The Associated Press, its executive leadership said the retailer began “reviewing” its programs following the court’s July 2023 ruling and the company recently decided to combine its resource groups, which were for “individual groups representing diverse sections of our associate population,” into one umbrella organization.
The retailer also will no longer participate
