A glance at the calendar reminds us all that August will shortly come to an end. Why does that matter? Kamala Harris -- or her campaign -- promised that she would make herself available for in-depth interviews by the end of the month. Both ABC News and Politico openly wondered today when, or if, Harris would offer them some joy.
ABC News points out that this has become a talking point for Republicans, which is the usual context of such reporting. At least they're asking, though:
Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to soon face her first post-convention test when she sits for a formal interview

"White Fragility" author Robin DiAngelo may have plagiarized multiple scholars, including minority writers, in her 2004 Ph.D. thesis, according to a report Monday.
A complaint filed with the University of Washington and shared with the Washington Free Beacon found dozens of examples of DiAngelo lifting material from other papers without proper attribution, in-text citations or quotation marks in her dissertation.
This included material from two Asian-American professors, University of Wisconsin-Madison professor Stacey Lee and Northeastern University professor Thomas Nakayama.

Canada, following the lead of the United States and European Union, said on Monday it would impose a 100% tariff on imports of Chinese electric vehicles and announced a 25% tariff on imported steel and aluminum from China. The duties apply to all EVs shipped from China, which would include those made by Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab, a Canadian government official said. Canadian imports of automobiles from China to its largest port, Vancouver, jumped 460% year over year to 44,356 in 2023, when Tesla started shipping Shanghai-made EVs to Canada.

Independent left-wing presidential candidate Dr. Cornel West told said Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign offered him a job in her potential administration, and to pay his campaign debts, if he dropped out of the 2024 race.
West made the stunning accusation after the close of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, in an interview with independent journalist Jordan Chariton on the Status Coup News podcast. The two discussed offers to drop out in anticipation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s anticipated decision to suspend his campaign (in battleground states) and to endorse former President Donald Trump.

Finally, after ducking an interview since she was handed the Democratic nomination for president on a silver platter, Kamala Harris is going to do an interview.
Of course, because it's the Democrats, you always know there's a little more to that story. It's not going to be a live interview. It's going to be on CNN and it will be taped. And the person conducting it will be Dana Bash, the same person who contested that Harris had been appointed border czar. So, you know even before we get to the interview, it's probably going to be a softball piece.

The worst president in modern history has passed the baton to an even worse candidate, Kamala Harris. Washington — Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will sit with CNN for their first joint interview on Thursday as Democrats work to broaden their base’s excitement from last week’s Democratic National Convention.
The interview, conducted by CNN’s chief political correspondent and anchor Dana Bash, will air at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday. It occurs as the candidates embark on a bus tour through the battleground state of Georgia and marks the first time Harris has sat with a journalist for an in-depth, on-the-record conversation since President Joe Biden dropped his bid for a second term and endorsed her on July 21.

CLAIM: Kamala Harris “took on one of our country’s largest for-profit colleges that scammed students.”
VERDICT: MOSTLY FALSE. Harris rejected a deal to save the college, and thousands of students had their education interrupted.
Vice President Kamala Harris has a rather thin record of achievement. One of the few accomplishments she is trying to point to is her involvement in the closure of Corinthian College, a for-profit institution that Democrats had targeted. She claimed in an Instagram post:

One of things you’re not supposed to do when you’re in the business of news reporting, or political commentary, is repeat yourself. Saying the same things over and over again is usually a good way to turn off your audience. Everyone in the media knows this, and political campaigns know it too. They count on it. They think that if they just ignore inconvenient facts — no matter how bad they may be — then eventually people will stop talking about them.
That’s why I’m going to begin by repeating a highly inconvenient fact that the Kamala Harris campaign apparently wants everyone to ignore, even though it’s unprecedented in modern politics.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s latest presidential campaign ad features border wall along the United States-Mexico border that was built under former President Donald Trump. Open sections of the wall featured in the ad were halted for a period of time on Harris and President Joe Biden’s watch.
The ad seeks to portray Harris as a defender of the nation’s border and shows distinct footage of border wall in Sasabe, Arizona. The footage was seemingly taken from a Voice of America news clip published in May of this year.

There are few cheerleaders more reliable than Kamala Harris's friends in the liberal media.
Ever since President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 election race last month, their print presses and TV networks have put in a hard shift trying to paper over Harris's past record as the most unpopular Vice President in American history.
To read and listen to their florid praise is to believe that Harris is already a shoo-in for president – and not an 11th hour replacement as Democratic nominee. That was until her lackluster Thursday night speech at last week's Democratic National Convention –

All icing and no cake.
That’s the only way to describe the Democratic National Convention that mercifully ended Thursday night with Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech as the party’s improbable nominee.
The icing, of course, was all the joy shoved down America’s collective throats from Chicago, a city where more than two dozen have been shot since the convention began, all without a care in the world about the state of the country. On Night Three alone, the word “joy” was said 30 times by various speakers.
But that wasn’t close to the word uttered most from podium.
Instead, the gold medal goes to a name: Trump.

The event is set to be broadcast live on ABC, a network Trump has frequently criticized, on Tuesday, September 10th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Harris is demanding a seated format and permission to use a “cheat-sheet” during the live debate—an unprecedented move that Trump’s campaign has swiftly condemned. This, they argue, is yet another example of Harris’s reluctance to face tough questions and her inability to handle the pressure of live debates.

“Race and gender” are key criteria in Vice President Kamala Harris’s selection of a media personality to host her first sit down interview since joining the presidential race, a report Monday in Politico Playbook revealed.
The criteria spotlights the close-mindedness of Harris’s world view, as she attempts to rally support from rural white voters in swing states. The demographic is key to winning the 2024 presidential election, political experts believe.
Harris will purportedly sit for an interview this week as part of her campaign’s ramped-up strategy heading into the post-Labor Day push, Axios reported, but questions remain about who she will select to host the interview.

During the 2016 presidential campaign, tens of millions of Americans turned away from the two elitist, entrenched political parties and toward then-New York City businessman Donald Trump. They did so like someone drowning in turbulent waters who is suddenly thrown a lifeline. Support for Trump became a survival instinct for the millions who viewed him as their last hope.
Come 2023 and 2024, millions of Americans cast their eyes toward Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Like Trump, they saw him as a non-politician who could not be cowered or controlled by the special interests. They saw Kennedy as a truthteller who would fight for them against the elites in both parties.

Trump’s narrow 2016 victory in Michigan, where he won by just 10,704 votes (0.22%), marked the first time a Republican had claimed the state’s 16 electoral votes since George H. W. Bush in 1988. However, in 2020, he lost the state by 154,181 votes, or 2.78%.
The question now looms: Can he reclaim the Great Lakes State in 2024? Historically, polls have often underestimated Trump’s performance in Michigan while overestimating that of his Democratic opponents. As baseball legend Yogi Berra famously said, "It ain't over till it's over." This adage holds especially true for the three tier-1 swing states: Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

Honestly, I thought she had endorsed Trump a long time ago. Tulsi’s long goodbye from the Democratic Party has taken her to precincts like CPAC and, going on two years ago, my own organization’s Fall Briefing. Looking back at my post on that event, I am reminded of how impressed I was by her.
Tulsi may be an attractive woman, but much more importantly she comes across as a serious, and above all military, person. She is very smart and also empathetic. Our audience loved her.
My only regret about Tulsi Gabbard is that Trump didn’t choose her as his vice presidential nominee. Nothing against J.D. Vance, who I think is doing

The hunt for the mastermind of the Oct. 7 attack on Israel, Yahya Sinwar, continues. Yesterday we learned more about how that has been going, including one close call when it appears the IDF missed Sinwar by days.
"Israeli commandos raided an elaborate tunnel complex in the southern Gaza Strip on Jan. 31 based on intelligence that Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader, was hiding there, according to American and Israeli officials.
He had been, it turned out. But Mr. Sinwar had left the bunker beneath the city of Khan Younis just days earlier, leaving behind documents and stacks of Israeli shekels totaling about $1 million."

Americans are having a hard time finding the “joy” and “hope” that Democrat elites touted during their August convention, as they struggle to pay their bills while the cost of goods skyrockets. This includes car insurance prices, which, under Vice President Kamala Harris’s watch, rose 54 percent.
Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show a dramatic rise in car insurance since President Joe Biden and Harris, the latter of whom Democrats have coronated to face off against former President Donald Trump, took office. From January 2021 to July 2024, car insurance rose a tremendous 54 percent.

The campaigns of Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are arguing in advance of their high-stakes Sept. 10 debate over whether microphones should be muted except for the candidate whose turn it is to speak.
While it’s common for campaigns to quibble beforehand over debate mechanics, both Harris and Trump are under pressure to deliver a strong performance next month in Philadelphia. The first debate during this campaign led to President Joe Biden’s departure from the race.

The Biden-Harris administration has not lifted a finger against Iran for a reported 200 attacks on US troops in the Middle East, which include firing on US Navy ships, closing the Suez Canal, launching a Hamas-Hezbollah-Houthi War against Israel, not to mention the atrocities Iran's regime commits every day against its own people. By ignoring sanctions against Iran and presenting no deterrence, the administration has, in fact, set up Iran to do all of that.
The US could probably close down Iran's election-interference activities, but [m]ore to the point, the administration has the same goal as the Iranian regime: it does not want Trump elected, either.

Within the larger Western Intelligence Community and government control system overall, there is always internal communication and coordination amid the primary players (the G7 and G20 crowd). No government does anything against a major communication player or Big Tech voice without the other governmental leaders having fore knowledge.
The U.S State Dept and Biden administration knew the French government were going to arrest Pavel Durov. The context and the issues behind the justification are ridiculous. Is Tim Cook now responsible for criminals who organize bank robberies on Apple iPhones?

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted Monday that the Biden administration pressured Facebook to censor COVID-19 content and acknowledged it was wrong to stifle The Post’s coverage of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop.
In an explosive letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Zuckerberg wrote that “senior Biden administration officials, including the White House, repeatedly pressured” Meta to “censor” content related to the coronavirus pandemic in 2021.
The content the Biden administration requested that Meta take down included “humor and satire,” according to the Facebook founder, and he said he regrets complying with certain demands.

Today marks the third anniversary of the devastating Kabul Airport bombing that claimed the lives of 13 brave U.S. servicemen and women.
President Trump honored the 13 U.S. service members who tragically lost their lives three years ago during this chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan after Joe Biden surrendered to the Taliban.
Conspicuously absent from the ceremony were Joe Biden and Kamala Harris—Biden is reportedly on vacation, while Harris is busy campaigning, disconnected from the painful memories still fresh in the hearts of many Americans.

A federal judge temporarily blocked another illegal effort by the Biden regime to give amnesty to illegal aliens who are married to U.S. citizens.
The Biden regime recently announced a program called “Keeping Families Together” that would have given amnesty to individuals who have entered the country illegally and consequently married an American citizen.
U.S. District Judge J. Campbell Barker issued an administrative stay just days after 16 Republican states, filed a challenge against the program, which would open up a pathway to citizen for up to a million illegal immigrants.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s exit from the Democratic Party (or was he booted out?) is only the latest sign that there are no more JFK Democrats left in positions of power in the Democratic Party. President John F. Kennedy was a staunch anti-communist who fought against union and government corruption. He was a pro-life Catholic. He was laser-focused on faster growth ("we can do bettah") and saw sweeping tax rate reductions as a step toward achieving 4% to 5% growth.
Democrats are now for higher taxes: They ignore and excuse union and government corruption

Less than two months ago, Donald Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt after 20-year-old Thomas Crooks opened fire at an open-air rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
While Secret Service agents were applauded for bravely swarming the stage to protect Trump, the incident represented one of the worst security failures in American history.
Following the shooting on July 13 - which claimed the life of firefighter Corey Comperatore - Congress set up a bipartisan taskforce to investigate.
As questions mounted, Secret Service chief Kimberly Cheatle was forced to resign.

President Donald Trump paid his respects to the 13 U.S. troops who were killed three years ago during President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan — while the morning shows on the major networks ignored the anniversary.
Monday, August 26, 2024, marked three years since the day a suicide bomber affiliated with the local branch of the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS) killed 13 American service members and wounded dozens more at Kabul’s airport — while also murdering roughly 170 local civilians who were trying to flee the country.
Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery, laying a wreath alongside Marine Corporal Kelsee Lainhart, who was partially paralyzed by the blast.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) editorial board let loose on Vice President Kamala Harris for her role in President Joe Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal in an op-ed on Monday.
Monday marked the third anniversary of the terrorist bombing in Afghanistan that killed 13 Americans as the United States exited from the country during Biden’s botched rollout. While Kamala Harris honored their sacrifice in a statement, she said she holds no regrets over what happened during what led up to the bombing. “President Biden made the courageous and right decision to end America’s longest war,” she said. The WSJ editorial board noted that Biden’s withdrawal was tantamount to an indefensible failure:

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a letter on Monday that his company, Facebook, was pressured by the Biden-Harris administration to censor Americans, particularly regarding COVID-19 content. Zuckerberg made the admission in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, more than a year after providing the committee with thousands of documents as part of its investigation into content moderation on online platforms.
Along with documents, the Meta CEO said, the company has provided a dozen employees to be available for transcribed interviews, stressing Meta’s cooperation with the investigation.
