A DNC delegate was arrested in connection with a vicious assault that critically injured a Ferguson, Missouri police officer and left him fighting for his life.
Last Friday, during a protest to mark the tenth anniversary of the death of brutal teenage thug Michael Brown, Officer Travis Brown was pushed to the ground while making an arrest for property damage in front of the police station. He suffered a brain injury after hitting his head and is currently in critical condition.
One of the individuals arrested was Keith Rose, an anti-cop activist and member of the St. Louis Civilian Oversight Board, a body that is tasked with reviewing allegations of police misconduct

I wrote earlier about the remarks about the economy that both Kamala Harris and Joe Biden made at an event in Maryland.
Harris disqualified herself with ignorant comments, not understanding or perhaps caring that overspending makes inflation worse. She talks about what she would do if she was elected on "day one" -- despite being in power now and not only not solving the problem but making things worse with bad policy. She also praised the "extraordinary Joe Biden."
Meanwhile, Biden couldn't even get her name right, and his brain broke at least a couple of times during his remarks. He also used threatening language against the GOP,

Washington, D.C.’s 911 dispatch system is so broken that employees are reportedly being bribed with bonuses just for showing up to work.
Dispatchers reportedly received an email on Tuesday from Heather McGaffin, the director of the city’s Office of Unified Communications (OUC), offering them $800 a month in addition to their salaries if they arrived to work for their scheduled shifts.
“According to OUC, in May, 50 of 66 shifts were properly staffed,” WJLA reported. “In June, only about half — 34 shifts were adequately covered. And by July, records show that only eight of 66 shifts were enough staff to meet emergency needs.”

Progressive policies have driven one more business out of San Francisco, with the city’s last remaining Denny’s permanently closing its doors this month.
After 25 years, the 24-hour Denny’s restaurant near Union Square closed as owner Chris Haque said he held on as long as he could. But a combination of crime, vandalism, lack of business, and customers who would frequently eat and leave without paying left Haque with no choice.
As of Aug. 12, the sign for the Denny’s “that was once California’s most expensive” was painted over, according to SFGate.
“We’re the only store left, and we operated until the last day that we could,” Haque said.

Former President Donald Trump unveiled a pledge on Wednesday to fight inflation by cutting energy prices in half, securing the borders from illegal immigration, bringing supply chains back to U.S. soil, and reducing regulatory burdens on American businesses.
In remarks that drew a sharp contrast to the policies of the Biden-Harris administration, Trump told an audience in Asheville, North Carolina, that he would cut energy costs in half, restore home affordability by securing borders and deporting illegal immigrants, impose 10 to 20 percent tariffs on imports from countries he accused of taking advantage of the U.S., and end taxes on tips and Social Security income.

Peter Marshall, the actor and singer turned game show host who played straight man to the stars for 16 years on “The Hollywood Squares,” has died. He was 98.
He died Thursday of kidney failure at his home in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, publicist Harlan Boll said.
Marshall helped define the form of the smooth, professional, but never-too-serious modern game show host on more than 5,000 episodes of the series that ran on NBC from 1966 to 1981.
But he was often closer to a talk show host, and the tic-tac-toe game the contestants played, while real, was all an excuse for a good time. The questions Marshall posed to regulars

Chinese social media users discovered they are no longer allowed to discuss a disturbing story about a medical supply company, Shanxi Aurui Biomaterials, caught selling dead human bodies and body parts.
The Chinese Communist Party’s vast army of social media censors began cracking down hard on the story three days after it broke, deleting a string of posts on the microblogging platform Weibo that lawyer Yi Shengua, president of the Beijing Yongzhe Law Firm, wrote. Yi broke the story on August 7 with Weibo posts accusing funeral homes of sending vast numbers of human remains to Shanxi Aurui Biomaterials, which used the corpses as raw materials to produce dental bone implants.

Walz, who served in the National Guard for nearly 24 years, reportedly made nearly 30 trips to China between 1989 and 2005, many of which took place while he held a security clearance as part of his duties.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Kamala Harris' running mate, hasn't taken any questions since being tapped for the ticket more than a week ago. Harris hasn't answered any substantive questions either, of course, having ducked any interviews for nearly a month. The campaign is instead communicating through pre-written speeches at rallies, paid advertisements, 'influencer' endorsements (allegedly including paid endorsements), and a deluge of glowing press coverage -- including puff pieces they aren't participating in, or commenting for. In one of Walz's recent speeches, he indignantly asserted that he's "damn proud" of his military service, then thanked JD Vance for his own service to the country.

Tim Walz hasn't exactly had the best introduction to the nation. Despite the best efforts of the campaign and the mainstream media to brand him as a midwestern centrist and "America's dad," among other things, it's hard not to wonder if Walz will be the next candidate the campaign will force off the ticket to make for someone less controversial and with less baggage.
The biggest issue, of course, is that Walz has come under fire for stolen valor.
Earlier this month, Newsweek reported that the Minnesota National Guard was disputing Walz's military biography. They reported that despite the governor's assertions, Walz did not retire with the rank of command sergeant major.

The phrase “helter-skelter” has a storied history (not that we’re burdened by the past, anymore). For centuries it meant something like “confused, disorderly and hurriedly.”
In my lifetime, it was the name of a heavy-metal song by an overrated pop group out of Liverpool with mop hair and skinny pants. A weird, murderous cult figure misinterpreted their song as a prediction of race war in America, maybe because it was on an album they called the “White Album.” (Yes, “White” was capitalized, and they never did produce a “Black Album” or even a “black Album.”)
In short, the meaning of “helter-skelter” over the years has been, well, helter-skelter.

A spokesperson for the Ukrainian president has denied the claims.
The pipeline, consisting of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, carried natural gas from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea. It was damaged by explosions in September 2022, seven months after Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, putting it out of action and worsening an energy crisis in Europe.

One consistent element of wokeness is that it is inconsistent. Wokeness, as influencer Teal Swan sagely remarks, has become "a radical political and social ideology that is flirting with authoritarianism and that is wearing a mask of virtue."
That mask slips so often we might refer to it as a "wardrobe malfunction." Virtue, among the truly woke, is frangible. What might be virtuous in one situation could be evil in another. It might depend on who is being virtuous. It might depend on what the wokie had for breakfast. Suffice it to say that most woke people on the left have no idea what is virtuous and what isn't.

This is a weird follow-up to the Nord Stream pipeline explosion. Apparently, German investigators are on the hunt for a Ukranian suspect who was hiding out in Warsaw, Poland. Why Germany, and not the USA? Because the USA previously blamed Russia, and it will look silly now if they admit it wasn’t Putin.
The Ukranian suspect is named is “Volodymyr Z”, and before the Polish police could arrest him and turn him over to the German police, Volodymyr Z slipped back across the border into Ukraine. That’s the story, and apparently, they are sticking to it.

Susan Crabtree of RealClearInvestigations broke a story this morning that in a sane would would shock you, but in the current world run by the Biden administration is just another day ending in "Y." (snip) During a Donald Trump visit to North Carolina yesterday, a woman Secret Service special agent abandoned her post to breastfeed with no permission/warning to the event site agent, according to three sources in the Secret Service community. (snip) The agent and her family members bypassed the Uniformed Division checkpoint and were escorted by an unpinned event staff into the room to breastfeed, the sources said.

The story originates in the Washington Post, so the context is always a presentation with the intent to undermine President Trump. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, this story is cited directly to RFK Jr and contains quotes from him.
This is not a story from anonymous sources or sources ‘familiar with the events.’ This is a story directly from the horses’ mouth. Robert F Kennedy Jr wants the information within this story made public. REMEMBER THAT!
Additionally, when you accept the Washington Post is the outlet for the CIA, and then see that Robert F Kennedy Jr confirms the details of the article with first person attribution,

Homer Simpson, Norm Peterson, Billy Carter, John Madden: There was a time when the world’s most beautiful men were all beer drinkers. It was an age of peace and prosperity when a cold, frosty beer in your paw was your God-given reward for a hard day’s work on a Friday evening. (Or an early Monday morning if you’re unemployed.)
Beer was our all-American staple — the generational constant that seamlessly connected fathers with sons, sons with fathers, and, come closing time, ugly people with slightly less ugly people. It was Daddy’s “happy juice” that (along with gambling) made football more interesting.
It was so culturally ingrained

A Russian court has sentenced amateur ballerina Ksenia Karelina to 12 years in jail for treason for donating $51 (£39) to a charity supporting Ukraine. Karelina, who has American and Russian citizenship, pleaded guilty last week after a trial held behind closed doors.
Ksenia Karelina had been living in Los Angeles and became a US citizen in 2021. She was arrested during a family visit last February in Yekaterinburg, about 1,600km (1,000 miles) east of Moscow.

UPPER WEST SIDE -- Young migrants living in city-run shelters are believed to be behind recent increases in robberies in the southern end of Central Park, surrounding their victims and using "wolfpack force" to mug them, according to the NYPD.
"Southern part of the park, we see a lot of robberies, group robberies, young kids, mugging people or taking their property, we believe these are young migrants who are committing these robberies," NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell said Wednesday on Mornings @ 10.

Soviet-style centrally administered price controls on food and grocery prices will form part of the federal economic proposals U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will unveil Friday when she finally delivers an insight into her 2024 policies.
Her address will mark the first time Harris offers a policy focused speech since she was anointed as the Democratic candidate in July and been roundly accused by critics since as being a policy-free zone, as Breitbart News reported. The Democratic nominee is promising to institute a first-ever national ban on price gouging and price-fixing within her first 100 days in office

This is turning into an unpleasant pattern that continues to repeat despite assurances from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris that they have the situation under control. Last month, border agents caught three Palestinians whose names appear on the terror watchlist coming over the southern border into California. On Monday, CBP found another one, this time in New Mexico. Omar Shehada turned out to be a doozy. He's from the West Bank and he landed on the watchlist because he had already been convicted of terror attacks involving "explosives and firearms." (Probably against Israel.) And now he has crossed the world and very nearly entered our country undetected.

This week a coalition of leftist groups released an ad for Kamala Harris that contains what the New York Times describes as the “unified message from the left.” What is the message? The election is all about “our freedom” – by which they mean their freedom, not yours.
As the Times puts it, leftist groups tested its “freedom” messaging in the 2022 midterms to “reclaim the language about freedom and personal liberty,” which they say helped “blunt what had been expected to be a sweeping victory for Republicans.”
As we noted in this space recently, Harris has been talking up the

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy got White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to admit Kamala Harris is responsible for the dumpster fire economy.
Kamala Harris is desperately trying to distance herself from Bidenomics, according to a new report by Axios.
“Harris won’t say it this bluntly in public, but her advisers do so privately: She wants to break with Biden on issues on which he’s unpopular. First up: rising prices. This is part of a highly choreographed effort to define herself — in some cases, redefine herself — as a different kind of Democrat.” Axios reported.

Pro-Palestinian groups are planning to bus tens of thousands of protesters into Chicago next week to demonstrate at the Democratic National Convention.
Fervent critics of America's support for Israel in the war in Gaza insist their plans haven't changed since Joe Biden dropped out of the race and Kamala Harris took the nomination, even though she is more sympathetic to Palestinians.
Hatem Abudayyeh, the national chair of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network advocacy group, told NBC demonstrators will be bussed in from nearby states.

Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow spoke about how Vice President Kamala Harris has been avoiding the media, noting that this strategy would “work” for the campaign because they would “get positive coverage” from the media, regardless.
During an interview on the Charlie Kirk Show, Marlow pointed out that Harris, “who is against Christmas, for open borders,” wants to take people’s guns away, and to “defund the police” had chosen Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), a “radical loud-mouth jerk” who has lied about his military record. “We got our ticket. We got a woman who is against Christmas, for open borders, wants to take your guns, and wants to defund the police.

President Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have called the Supreme Court “out of control“ and “extreme.” But their efforts to undermine and intimidate the Court are as dangerous to our constitutional system as they are disingenuous, for they represent a monarchal effort to control the Court.
Under Article III of our Constitution, the nation’s “judicial power” is vested in the Supreme Court and lower courts to be established by Congress. In addition to resolving “cases” or “controversies” brought before the Court, since the landmark 1803 case of Marbury v. Madison, it has been understood that power includes the right to declare acts of other departments and state governments unconstitutional.

When JD Vance was in Michigan today, the owner of a local trucking company was given a chance to speak and he slammed the economy and inflation produced by the Biden/Harris administration.
He said that his company has tried to expand and to give their workers raises but that it hasn’t been possible. He then said that he wants to get Trump elected with JD Vance as his VP.
Working people know who will be better for the economy and it’s not Kamala Harris.
WLNS News has more on Vance’s remarks at the event:

Earlier this week, crooked New York Judge Juan Merchan rejected a recusal request for the third time in Trump’s “hush money” case.
The dirty judge’s decision was released to the public on Wednesday.
Judge Merchan’s daughter’s platform made tens of millions of dollars from her father’s case against Trump.
President Trump is STILL under a partial gag order in the case. Can someone please explain how this is legal? And why are Republicans not outraged by this criminal lawfare against the party’s presidential candidate?

The Taliban terrorist organization celebrated the third anniversary of President Joe Biden facilitating its return to power in Afghanistan on Wednesday, hosting a large military parade on the former U.S. air base site at Bagram featuring U.S.-made equipment and welcoming envoys from Iran and China.
August 15 will mark three years since the fundamentalist Taliban terror group stormed Kabul, the nation’s capital, while then-President Ashraf Ghani fled in a helicopter. The Afghan military had collapsed by then, leading to a nearly bloodless takeover of the government for the Taliban. The Taliban remains at press time the uncontested government of Afghanistan, though no country recognizes it as such in an official capacity.

The City of Chicago is gearing up to host the Democratic National Convention, which opens next Monday at the United Center.
The Coalition To March On The DNC, an organization comprised of more than 200 groups from around the country, will descend on the city to protest the Gaza War. The coalition has already lost a big case in court. They were suing the city to be placed within "sight and sound" of the United Center. But a federal judge wisely turned down their request. They will instead be placed three miles from the United Center in an obscure public park

Pro-Palestinian protestors in New York on Thursday interrupted an event in support of Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris by throwing smoke bombs at the scene, resulting in the arrest of dozens, according to a Y-Net report. In footage circulating on X, formally Twitter, havoc can be seen at the scene of the event, with people wearing keffiyehs and holding Palestinian flags as the NYPD makes arrests.Additionally, at least one of the people is seen wearing a keffiyeh, covering his entire face, and a green headband that can possibly be inspired by Hamas's terror brigades's green band.
