PARIS — The left-wing alliance in France won the most seats in parliament in a dramatic election, dealing a surprise blow to the far-right party of Marine Le Pen. In the first round of voting a week ago Le Pen’s National Rally came top and was aiming to secure the most seats in France’s legislature for the first time in the party’s history on Sunday. But tactical voting and collaboration between Le Pen’s opponents to keep her party out of power paid off, final results showed. The election, however, looks set to throw the country into a period of political turmoil, with no single group coming close

The French leader Melenchon is a Trotskyite. An amazing defeat for freedom. By calling early elections in Britain and France the Globalists/CIA/MI6 empowered Communists in order to keep war with Russia going forever. They probably have plans for US too. Brexit foreshadowed Trump’s victory in 2016. The triumph of Corporatist Socialism in England and France is a very bad omen.

Previous comment is exactly right. In Europe, where I live, the leftist and mostly state-owned press has an iron grip on all news, there are no alternatives such as Fox or Newsmax. The perjorative "far right" is used often and indiscriminately, but one never hears them utter the phrase "far left".

As a post-script I also strongly recommend that we all start using the term, "far left Democrat Party" here in the U.S. as the accurate description of what they have become. Permanently refrain from using, "progressive" or "liberal". That's ancient history now.

Last week, CNN’s Harry Enten argued that while Biden had been through "arguably two of the worst weeks for a president running for reelection" that he could recall, "he’s still within earshot of former President Donald Trump." However, on Tuesday, CNN’s John King reviewed the latest 2024 presidential race polling, and it’s everything that Democrats have feared, as it shows that Trump could potentially win in a decisive landslide. “The state of the race on night two of the Republican convention is Donald Trump is leading in this race,” he began. "Significantly, if you look deep into the polling, he has a chance to build on it.”

One of the interesting themes coming out of a portion of the mainstream (and some left-wing) media is the surprise they express that Republicans are not filled with dark rage, even after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. It is as if they had never met or talked to a real Republican, which, to be honest, is likely the case. They have no idea who we are. I noticed this first in some of the MSM TV coverage--not MSNBC, of course, but it was really striking to see an article in Slate by Aymann Ismail about the mood at the Republican Convention. He went expecting an undercurrent of rage,

Two of my favorites among Donald Trump’s rivals for the 2024 nomination spoke back-to-back in favor of the former (and future) president at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night. Former South Carolina governor and UN ambassador Nikki Haley spoke first, speaking of uniting Republicans behind Trump even if they don’t always agree with him. Haley was a tough act to follow, but Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) rose to the occasion. Leading with “let’s send Joe Biden back to his basement, and let’s send Donald Trump back to the White House,” he gave a fiery speech that didn’t spare the Biden administration or the left in general.

Milwaukee — Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley endorsed Donald Trump’s campaign Tuesday night in her Republican National Convention speech, her latest step toward embracing her former rival and unifying the party after their bitter presidential primary. “I’ll start by making one thing perfectly clear: Donald Trump has my strong endorsement, period,” Haley said Tuesday. As Trump watched on from the convention center’s VIP suite, Haley used her speech to defend the former president’s foreign policy record and speak directly to voters who disagree with him on certain issues. “There are some Americans who don’t agree with Donald Trump 100% of the time,” she said. “My message to them is simple:

Thank to Joe Biden-flation and his catastrophic economic policies, American families are spending over $11,000 more annually just for necessities. The obscene cost of inflation is hitting hardworking Americans, as overall prices have gone up almost 20% since the Meanderer-in-Chief came into office in 2021. Americans can thank the Biden administration for that $11,400 extra for necessities, about 20% of the average U.S. annual salary. And if you hear the lie that inflation is down, don’t believe it. All that means is that the inflation rate is allegedly slowing, and the Biden administration loves to engage in monkey business to manipulate such statistics.
