Alex Soros, the son of left-wing activist and billionaire George Soros, suggested Democrats mention that former President Donald Trump is a “convicted felon at every opportunity” they get.
Soros wrote in a post on X that “repetition is the key to a successful message” and that Democrats want American citizens to “wrestle” with having to vote for a “convicted felon” in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. The jury in Trump’s business records trial found the former president guilty on all 34 counts on Thursday.

The guilty verdict against former President Donald Trump reached by a Manhattan jury on Thursday could ultimately be reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court, legal experts said.
Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in an unprecedented verdict against the presumptive Republican presidential nominee just months before the 2024 election. The verdict is likely to be appealed by Trump’s legal team, however, and experts say the final decision in Trump’s hush-money trial could come down to a ruling from the highest court in the land.

VERDICT: True. The latest Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data reveals an increasing share of migrants encountered at the border on President Joe Biden’s watch are from outside North America. On Friday, after a Manhattan jury convicted him on 34 felony counts involving falsifying business records, Trump held a press conference at Trump Tower in New York City where he blasted Biden for record levels of illegal immigration.

If the Democratic Party thought convicting former President Donald Trump was going to make his millions of supporters abandon him, they better think twice. In fact, he got a six-point jump in approval after being found guilty of 34 counts for falsifying business records.
According to a poll conducted by the Daily Mail and J.L. Partners, 22 percent of voters now view Trump more favorably, while only 16 percent view him more negatively.
The poll was taken just hours after 12 jurors convicted Trump in an unprecedented and politically-motivated move.

It’s the last Friday in May during an election year and whether Americans know it or not, they woke up this morning in a nation different than it was the day before.
A former U.S. president – and the Republican Party’s all-but-certain nominee for president this November – now stands convicted of vague crimes by a Democratic Party jury on charges brought by a Democratic Party prosecutor overseen by a plainly hostile Democratic Party judge.
Heretofore responsible conservatives are today openly calling for GOP prosecutors to respond to the Democrats’ “lawfare” by exacting retribution in legal venues friendly to their side. Presumably, that strategy would entail indicting prominent Democrats on criminal charges

The fix was in against Donald Trump. You knew it, they knew it, everyone knew it. The Left didn't even try to hide it. New York DA Alvin Bragg campaigned on nailing Trump, and he received money from a George Soros-supported group. Judge Juan Merchan repeatedly slammed down Trump's defense, let the prosecution run wild, and gave the Manhattan jury instructions that took them by the hand and walked them directly to a guilty verdict. This miscarriage of justice was so conspicuous and outrageous that Trump's 2024 campaign site crashed from people trying to donate.

If you’ve been following former President Donald Trump’s hush-money trial in New York, you might have seen the shocking news that the judge in that trial, Juan Merchan, issued bizarre and plainly unconstitutional jury instructions on Wednesday, telling jurors they need not agree on what crime Trump allegedly committed to reach a unanimous guilty verdict.
(snip) the jury could come back with a guilty verdict without agreeing on whether Trump committed election fraud, tax fraud, or falsification of business records. He essentially divided the jury into three groups of four, saying that if they’re split 4-4-4 on what crime Trump committed, he’d treat that as unanimous.

“Rigged” is a favorite word of Donald Trump and his allies.
It describes how institutions and processes have been distorted by a progressive elite to tilt the playing field against Trump and his supporters. For the former president, it’s an all-purpose charge lodged against anything he dislikes and is especially useful as applied to the 2020 election, since it can vaguely encompass everything from sharp practices by the other side to outright theft.
When Trump made his statement to reporters Wednesday morning prior to the jury getting Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case, he repeatedly used the word “rigged,” and in this instance, he was absolutely right.

Sometimes unexpected but dramatic events tear off the thin veneer of respectability and convention. What follows is the exposure and repudiation of long-existing but previously covered-up pathologies.
Events like the destruction of the southern border over the last three years, the October 7 massacre and ensuing Gaza war, the campus protests, the COVID-19 epidemic and lockdown, and the systematic efforts to weaponize our bureaucracies and courts have all led to radical reappraisals of American culture and civilization.
Since the 1960s, universities have always been hotbeds of left-wing protests, sometimes violently so.

No, members of the liberal media, the lack of corroborating witnesses for the prosecution doesn’t speak to the strength of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case. It highlights the bias and kangaroo court-like antics that transpired over this little alleged campaign finance violation that anti-Trump prosecuting attorneys tried to turn into Watergate. With Biden’s poll numbers sinking like the Andrea Doria, the courts had to do something to give Biden a public relations win, if only for a second.

The craziest thing about Donald Trump’s trial in Manhattan is that it happened at all.
For those of us with some recent family history in the Third World, or the communist world, what made America exceptional was that this sort of thing would not happen here — i.e. trials in which the ruling party tried to imprison its opponents based on fabricated charges. In Judge Juan Merchan’s courtroom, Trump was on trial for a crime that was known only to the prosecution, never fully explained.“Falsification of business records to conceal …” what, exactly? Their pathological hatred of Donald Trump is a thousand times greater than their love for the United States of America.
They think this is a victory for them. They think that they finally ‘got’ Trump. It was Christmas in May for Hollywood celebrities after a jury in deep blue New York City voted to convict former President Donald Trump on all 34 counts in his business records case.
While an appeal is a certainty — “This is far from over,” Trump said following the verdict — the stars nevertheless

Judge Jeanine Pirro of FOX News reacted to the Trump verdict today by saying that America has gone over a cliff.
As a judge herself, Jeanine lamented what this decision has done to the public image of our legal system, but as a political matter she was clearly outraged.
She spoke for millions of Americans.
From FOX News:
America has gone ‘over a cliff’ with Trump’s conviction, Judge Jeanine says: ‘All smoke and mirrors’. Fox News host Jeanine Pirro said Thursday that America has “gone over a cliff” after former President Trump was found guilty on all counts, making him the first former President of the United States to

On Memorial Day, during the Annual Ashli Babbitt Freedom March in D.C., I had the chance to speak with Hanna Rosin, who was covering the march for the Atlantic magazine with fellow reporter Lauren Ober.
As I tried to explain while we were walking, Ober and Rosin have an extraordinary opportunity. They can be the first journalists to share with their half of America the epic story of January 6 — the true story, that is. I cautioned, however, that as MSNBC learned the hard way, there are powerful people who do not want that story told.
The ignorance about January 6 is staggering.

British and US forces carried out a joint operation against the Houthi rebels in Yemen on Thursday "to degrade their ability to persist with their attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden". The UK Defence Ministry said intelligence had confirmed two sites near Hodeidah as being involved with the Houthi anti-shipping attacks.
Buildings were identified as housing drone ground control centres and providing storage for very long range drones, as well as surface-to-air weapons used to impede coalition operations to safeguard shipping in the region.
A set of Houthi sites at Ghulayfiqah, further south on the Yemeni coast, had also been identified

Legal expert Jonathan Turley reacted with strong words to the guilty verdict of former President Donald Trump, who was convicted on all 34 counts at his New York hush money trial after only two days of jury deliberations spanning over nine hours.
"I obviously disagree with this verdict as do many others," Turley tweeted, saying that he believes that the case will be reversed "eventually" either at the state or federal level. "However," the George Washington University Law School professor added, "this was the worst expectation for a trial in Manhattan. I am saddened by the result more for the New York legal system than the former president.

Thursday, after a jury found former President Donald Trump guilty on 34 counts in his Manhattan criminal trial, Trump attorney Todd Blanche lamented the outcome and the circumstances that he felt led to the outcome.
Blanche told FNC host Jesse Watters he felt Trump’s constitutional rights were violated as well.
“You believe Donald Trump’s constitutional rights were violated?” Watters asked during an interview airing on Thursday’s “Jesse Watters Primetime.” “In many ways, yes,” Blanche replied.
“How so?” Watters asked.
“Well, if you look at, for example, the gag order that was put in place, and you had a situation where President Trump, who’s on the campaign trail and is trying to compete with voices

Thursday, immediately following the Trump guilty verdict, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Newsmax TV to criticize the court for its handling of the case.
He called it a “grotesque abuse” of the justice system and warned that New York Judge Juan Merchan “diminished the credibility of every judge in the country.
“Well, Greta, I have two similar sentiments,” he said during Thursday’s broadcast of “On the Record.” “Number one, I’m angry, I’m furious, and number two, I’m heartbroken. I’m angry because we’re seeing a grotesque abuse of the justice system. It is a travesty of justice that has unfolded in New York. And I’m heartbroken because

There's some fascinating news about an alliance between billionaires Elon Musk and Nelson Peltz and former President Donald Trump.
We reported on Musk's meeting with Trump in March. Now, there are more details about the meeting, which was reportedly at Peltz's mansion. The men also had their sons at the meeting: Barron, Diesel, and Musk's son X, who is a toddler. There were also allegedly other wealthy and powerful people at the meeting. At the meeting, the billionaires told Trump about a "massive data-driven project to ensure votes are fairly counted" that they were working on — a topic of great concern for Trump.
