A group of federal judges has announced a boycott of Columbia University, citing concerns over the institution’s handling of recent campus disruptions and allegations of fostering anti-semitism.
The judges, who hire law clerks annually, expressed their loss of confidence in Columbia University following the aftermath of the October 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas.
The university, once renowned for its academic excellence, has now been labeled by the judges as ground zero “for the explosion of student disruptions, antisemitism, and hatred for diverse viewpoints.”
In a letter addressed to Columbia University President Minouche Shafik, the judges expressed their dissatisfaction with the university’s handling of recent campus events.

You are judged by the company you keep (or the school you attended).

I'm surprised, but pleased that some judges seem to be concerned for the courts.

What is sad about all of this DEI stuff is how they went about it. We are told that the Commandment that is the greatest is "Love God with all of your heart, mind, and soul plus love your neighbor as yourself." Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that think the second part of the Greatest Commandment is more important than the first part. There are probably some people who dismiss the first half. A loving heart will recognize that you can't have one without the other and loving God shows us how to love one another. . .

To clarify what I mean by DEI stuff - it is all of the stuff that have produced the violent protests. In my humbled opinion, DEI should be done with a loving heart and not a fist.

They should be pushed down the US News ranking, like they were before. Only their lobbying got them back up. It was a mistake. Ditto Harvard.

So here's the loophole in their 'feel good' pronouncement: FTA: “....we will not hire anyone who joins the Columbia University community—whether as undergraduates or law students—beginning with the entering class of 2024,” the letter states. So that automatically excludes those NOW actually committing these disruptions. How courageous of them!

The sad thing is those students who didn't participate in protests are going to be lumped in with the protesters. But hey. A little more research before going there might have revealed that that preeminent university was run by a bunch of communist freaks.

I would love to see the clerk jobs go to qualified law students from lesser known law schools just to show the Ivy Leage snob elite that a great law student from some small law school in the midwest or south produces just as high quality (if not better) lawyers than the over rated Ivy League schools.

13 out of 856 total federal judges.
Big wup. This is a meaningless and useless act and they all know it, just virtue signalling for whomever they think their audience is.
