No mucho dinero there. The women just do not draw the crowds as the men do.

She is a generational women’s player. It is just a fact that if you put her on any Div III men’s team, she would score 0 points except for free throws. The excitement will be short-lived after the season starts. The women’s game looks like it’s played in slow motion. It just will not hold the attention it’s getting now.

She should have stayed another year in college. It appears that laying in the WNBA she'll be taking a huge pay cut.

Caitlin Clark never said she wants to play basketball against men. Golfer Michelle Wie was pressured by her father to compete in mens’ tournaments. She was humbled, and was an underachiever on the LPGA Tour.

I would imagine that endorsements will be substantially more than her contract.

Follow-up to Reply 4. Close to 20 years ago, Michelle Wie competed against men in a U.S. Open Qualifier. She played well, but missed short putts and faded on the finishing holes and missed qualifying by 5 shots. Afterward, former tour player Tom Pernice Jr. said Wie needed to fix her bad putting form. That remark was accurate, as putting was a weakness in Wie’s game throughout her pro career.

No matter how good the women players are if you go to a WNBA game thinking you will be watching men's basketball - well. that is a big mistake. If you understand that men and women do not play the same, adjust your expectations, you can enjoy a good game of basketball. Just different. I did watch the final women's game. I am not a big fan of women's basketball but it was interesting watching Caitlin do her thing. So does this just mean what we conservatives have been saying all along is correct? MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT. I was surprised how little money she would be making. Hope she has some endorsements waiting for her with a nice price tag attached.

I love watching Caitlin Clark play! I prefer the woman’s game! They don’t take six steps to the basket without a dribble! Then they “Jam” the ball and all the NBA fans go Oooooooo!!! A guy that is 7’ tall with 55” long arms jams a ball into a 10 ft hoop and we are suppose to be impressed! Naw! I like passing, handling the ball, 30 foot threes and teamwork! I’ll watch every game Caitlin plays in! She was stunning in Prada, by the way!!!

The league pays a good wage for college graduates. I'm sure many of the people she graduated with are making much less. But she makes bank on endorsements.

These leagues are a business and not a popular one, with very few paying customers. So, the league can't charge advertisers very much, so the salaries of the players can't be very much, compared to very popular sports. Actually, she's going to make a real good living for playing a GAME...... in a league which isn't actually very interesting to watch.

Once drawing as many as a dozen students, Lansing Knights of Columbus #3450 has hosted a spelling bee for decades, drawing local spellers in grades 5–8. However, the pandemic, combined with the closure of St. Ann School, has resulted in a lower turnout in recent years, said organizers. Last year’s bee drew three participants

It's hard to blame Donald Trump (aka Dozy Don) for apparently nodding off during the first day of his 'hush money' trial in New York on Monday. Yes, it's the first ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president and he's also the only leading presidential candidate ever to face criminal proceedings. Add to that the chance he could go to jail if he's found guilty and you might expect Trump to be paying close attention. But the early stages of the trial have been dominated by arcane legal arguments about procedural points and the interminable process of choosing a jury, now an unavoidable feature of American justice.
