Republican Governors Talk About the Real
State of the Union

Thursday night’s State of the Union speech was a doozy. Joe Biden, hopped up on some cocktail of energizing substances, delivered a hyperpartisan speech that devoted more time to attacking Donald Trump and anyone else who doesn’t fall in line behind the far left’s policy proposals than to assessing the state of our country. Let’s call it what it was: a campaign speech. To quote Erick Erickson, the State of the Union was “partisan and not memorable and beneath the dignity of the office.” Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) has garnered mixed reviews for her official rebuttal to Biden’s speech, but she wasn’t the only one to issue a response.

What the GOP response showed is that Biden and the Democrats are very lucky in the opposition they face. WE are the real losers!

The law of unintended consequences is hitting Democrats yet again, as it looks like former President Donald Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial is doing wonders for his campaign coffers. During an appearance on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom,” Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Michael Whatley discussed Trump’s campaign strategy in New York and elsewhere and said that "every day that President Trump has been in court, he's been getting a million dollars or more in small-dollar donations that are coming in online." Dana Perino started the interview by asking if the GOP is “putting resources in to try to win New York.” Whatley responded, noting that the former president is “playing offense”

As we reported early Friday, Joe Biden's team came up with a new plan designed to keep him from looking old and weak as he shuffled back and forth across the White House lawn to Marine One. The idea? Walk with him to and from Marine One, standing between the media and Biden, reducing the number of unflattering shots highlighting his shuffling/looking elderly for the cameras. But now that we've been tipped off about the new strategy, we're now going to pay even more attention to the issue, because now they've highlighted it with this effort. So let's check what happened when Biden returned from New York on Friday.

Like the other pro-Hamas protests taking place on college campuses across the country, the one at Emory University has also seen its fair share of Useful Idiots, as evidenced by some clips and photos shared by a local reporter the day after things got quite lively at the Atlanta college. [Tweet, video] And by "quite lively," I'm referring to all the arrests that were made, with two professors reportedly being among them, in what was a wild scene. One of them was economics professor Caroline Fohlin, who has become a cause célèbre among the woke left for an incident that happened Thursday-

Can something be astonishing yet not surprising at all? I would assume not, but that's how it feels to read Khymani James' response to videos of him claiming Jews should be murdered. Advertisement If you aren't aware of the story, James is a pro-Hamas protest leader and the head of CUAD at Columbia University. He has been "negotiating" with school officials over the illegal encampment set up on campus. Videos emerged of him on Thursday ranting about how "Zionists" don't deserve to live, claiming they should be exterminated like "nazis." He then proclaimed that others should be "grateful" that he hadn't gone out and murdered Jews himself yet.

We've seen a lot of craziness with the unhinged protests about Gaza from leftists at campuses across the country, including at NYU, Columbia, and other institutions. This Occupy 2.0 effort has seen antisemitic harassment, violence, and even protesters attacking and chasing the police. Hezbollah flags were seen being waved, including at the Princeton University.encampment on Thursday. The University of Southern California (USC) even called off its formal commencement because they were concerned about safety. Radical Democrats like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have spoken out in support of these encampments, with Ocasio-Cortez claiming they are "peaceful,"

A bill similar to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, dubbed by liberals as “Don’t Say Gay,” is progressing in the Alabama state legislature, according to a report from ABC News. Reportedly, H.B. 130 would expand already-existing restrictions on discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity in schools from kindergarten through fifth grade. The current law states that teachers for this age group “shall not engage in classroom discussion or provide classroom instruction regarding sexual orientation or gender identity in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards." The new legislation would expand this to eighth grade

We all got a laugh, chuckle, or at least a headshake from the video of the clueless young woman who had come down to NYU from Columbia. She knew people were protesting, and it had something to do with Palestine. God knows we can use the laugh these days. Similarly, there have been reports that many of the students at the big Columbia Camp-In are just there because it is cool to shout slogans, wave flags, and wear keffiyehs. You know, cuz it's counter-cultural and cutting edge and stuff. Those kids are having a high time raising hell and making friendship bracelets

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned foreign students that if they are arrested for participating in anti-Israel protests occurring across college campuses they will face deportation. As anti-Israel protestors invade universities such as Columbia, law enforcement and Republican lawmakers sound the alarm as it becomes increasingly unsafe for Jewish students to be on campus. DHS can lawfully deport a person if they violate their visa terms. Most of the time when visas are revoked, it is "prudential," which means that a person isn't always necessarily immediately removed from the United States. However, it does mean that someone would be denied future re-entry into the country.

Everyone, take it easy. That should be the first thing that should go through your mind when you see these images, regardless of how you feel about these pro-terrorist clowns in higher education. College campuses nationwide are becoming engulfed by the shenanigans of their respective student bodies over the war in Gaza. Columbia University allowed this little pro-terrorist stunt to occur, and now it’s gone national. Not all have been successful; NYU’s camp got dismantled, and there have been dozens of arrests at Emory, USC, and UT Austin—all of which are being fueled by the fake narrative that Israel is committing genocide.

Before he went into court in New York City on Thursday morning, Donald Trump stopped by to talk to some construction workers, shake some hands, sign some hats, and make some news. As I pointed out, Trump said after shaking hands and signing hats that Biden is so bad that a Republican stands a chance of winning New York in the November presidential election: "I think we have a good chance of winning New York." Matt mused on that idea, encouraging Trump to gird his leads in other states. He's not alone in thinking that Trump ought not to get any crazy ideas, but Trump isn't having it.
