Joe Biden’s insanity defense

Original Article

Yesterday, the special prosecutor (technically called a “special counsel” these days, a term which obfuscates in my opinion) released his report on his investigation of Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. (It was not a good day for the Democrats. On the same day, the Supreme Court signaled in oral argument that they intend to smack down four publicity-hungry Colorado Supreme Court justices/activists who canceled Donald Trump from the Colorado ballot. My condolences to those four partisan hacks whose 15 minutes of fame is about to expire. And my congratulations to the three spirited dissenters on that same court, who’ve been vindicated.)

It's not the prosecutor's job to determine mental capacity. You bring it to court and let the experts and jury members decide if there's an insanity defense. A very bad look for a POTUS. The Democrats got their cake (replace Joe) and get to eat it too.(Not guilty)

We always learn new implausibilities from the Democrats. Now prosecutors tell us the mental acuity of subjects, and the ultimate decisions of juries. Nowhere is any of that listed in their job duties, but Democrats do not do their jobs, but the jobs of others.

The 15 minutes of fame for the 4 Supreme Court of Colorado Justices should be just beginning as they are publicly rebuked and taken from their position on that court.

I used to believe in a fair and impartial justice system until the Democrats weaponized the DOJ and our judiciary. As a retired law enforcement officer I am ashamed of the FBI, the partisan judges, and DA's that have seemingly infected our once great system of justice. Unless you've been living in a cave or under a rock it has become quite obvious that there is now a two-tiered system of justice in place in our country. Hillary was allowed by the FBI to destroy her emails that contained classified information. Then disgraced FBI Director James Comey decided a successful prosecution of her was unlikely therefore no charges were filed. Now the DOJ has determined that Joe Biden is too senile for his illegal storage and sharing of classified documents while a private citizen so he should not be prosecuted. But the corrupt DOJ, under the leadership of partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland, is full steam ahead in the prosecution (persecution) of former president Donald Trump. In other words if you're a Democrat you get a pass, but if you are Donald Trump or one of his supporters you get prosecuted to the full extend of the law. Just ask the January 6th political prisoners!

The statutes under which Biden may be prosecuted require, as do many offenses at the state and federal levels, for there the to be evidence of "culpable mental state," which typically include evidence of "intentionally and knowingly." Sometimes, "criminal negligence" or "depraved indifference" are used in lesser charges, depending on the language of the statute or law in question. That is why it often is the prosecutor's job to demonstrate evidence of an accused person's culpable mental state, when required by the language of the law alleged to have been violated. Biden bragging about possession of his "foreign policy notebook," about which his staff was in the dark, yet shared with his uncleared ghost writer, demonstrated he met the criteria for intentionally and knowingly.

The Manhattan case against Trump is a travesty 5 replies

“Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime” – LAVRENTIY BERIA, JOSEPH STALIN’S SECRET POLICE CHIEF The facts of the case starting this week are simple. It’s the legal theories that are convoluted. Donald Trump paid a porn star named Stormy Daniels to stay quiet about their affair. (Leave aside for a moment whether it’s possible to have an “affair” with a porn star, and leave aside whether Stormy blackmailed him into making the payment.) Despite the opprobrious term “hush money,” this type of payoff is perfectly legal and happens all the time. In fact, it’s the most frequent outcome of a sexual harassment case,

After months of saber-rattling, the “death-to-Israel” crowd in Tehran (an affiliate of the “death-to-America” crowd in Dearborn) finally made good on their threat to attack Israel. The Mullah Maniacs launched something over 300 drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles toward Tel Avi. (Notably, none of these aircraft were piloted – even the Iranians are not that stupid.) The Israelis along with Americans, Brits and other allies shot down 99% of them. The other 1% caused hardly any damage. No deaths or even injuries were reported. It turns out the Iranian war machine is at about the level of . . . those sabers they were rattling.

Michael Jordan was arguably the best one-on-one player in history. He was cat-like in his quickness and leaping ability. Mortals can touch the rim. Michael could jump so high his eyes were even with the rim. I suspect he could snatch a dime off the top of the backboard and leave two nickels behind. All that made him nearly unstoppable. And, though often overshadowed by his offensive prowess, those same abilities – along with unrelenting hustle – also made him one of the great defensive players of the game. When your guy is scoring 35 and holding the opponent he’s guarding to 12, you have an unfair advantage.

Remember the wedding website case that came out of Colorado and went all the way to the Supreme Court? It’s finally over, and it ended beautifully. Bigly beautifully. I’ll let the district court describe the facts: “Plaintiff Lorie Smith . . . offers a variety of creative services, including website design, to the public. Ms. Smith intends to expand the scope of [her] services to include the design, creation, and publication of wedding websites. However, [Smith] will decline any request to design, create, or promote content that promotes any conception of marriage other than marriage between one man and one woman.

Former Enron advisor and current New York Times columnist Paul Krugman is angry at farmers. What’s earned his wrath is that they vote for Donald Trump. He says they vote for Trump because they’re afflicted with “white rural rage.” Let’s examine the components of Krugman’s catchy phrase “white rural rage.” As for rural, it is certainly true that Trump does better in rural areas than in, say, downtown Chicago or Baltimore. Then again, everybody does better – wherever they are – than they would in the toilets of downtown Chicago or Baltimore.

In 2020, about five and a half people voted in Michigan. Biden won by about 155,000 votes. Of those five and a half million who voted in Michigan, about 145,000 were Muslim. About 100,000 of them voted for Biden. Those 100,000 Michigan Muslims are now making a stink. They’re unhappy that Biden is permitting Israel to finish the war that Palestinian terrorists started on October 7. They demand that Biden pressure Israel into a cease fire that would leave the terrorists free to murder, rape, behead, burn alive, and terrorize another day – and another year and another decade.

I capitalize the word “Black” when referring to Black people. Many of my tribe object to that, since I don’t capitalize “white.” Those objections were expressed by readers most recently in reaction to my latest column. Here are my reasons for using “Black” to refer to Blacks, in reverse order of importance. First, the AP Style Manual calls for “Black” to be capitalized. That Manual is not the Bible, but it’s a highly recognized authority in what used to be called journalism. Relax. As I stated, my reasons are presented here in reverse order of importance. The AP Style Manual is the least important one.

The Justices of the Supreme Court make their living with words. They read them, they write them, they speak them, they listen to them, and they rule with them. We currently have a Justice who uses words very poorly. At her confirmation hearing before the Senate, Justice Jackson was asked to give a definition of “woman.” That’s a legitimate question, since many legal matters depend on whether a given person is a woman or a man. Her answer was: “I can’t. Not in this context. I’m not a biologist.”

A persistent myth is that, for the same job, women in America are paid only 84 cents for every dollar that men are paid. I explain below, first, why that myth is false and, second, why it’s dangerous. There are the several reasons why it’s false. The figures use a category of “full time work” for their comparisons. That’s defined as any work over 35 hours per week. That means a man working 55 hours a week is compared to a woman working 36. So, a man making, say, $30/hour for those 55 hours for a total of $1650/week is deemed to be making $210 more

This week was the ridiculous annual spectacle where the president is supposed to tell us the state of our so-called union, as if we don’t already know. That’s a particularly appropriate topic for the current president who was elected on the promise that he would be a “uniter, not divider” who would bring normalcy and decency back to the office. A few seconds into it, he was implying that the people who currently disfavor his re-election, a cohort comprising over half the country – and especially his “predecessor” whose name must not be spoken – were in league with Vladimir Putin.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) made history Thursday night just before midnight by essentially surrendering Republican majority control to Democrats. For the first time in recorded history — since the House began keeping records — the House Rules Committee relied on minority party votes to overcome objections from the majority and advance a rule bill to the House floor. The committee voted nine to three, with all four Democrats on the committee voting with five Republicans to move a rule to the House floor, which, if passed with Democrat support as expected, would allow votes on Johnson’s foreign aid package, including a bill that includes tens of billions to fund Ukraine.
