Is there going to be a major confrontation on the border following Joe Biden's ultimatum that Texas National Guard forces be removed from Shelby Park and other "disputed" areas? Not if the rank-and-file of the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol have anything to say about it. According to a new post put out by the Border Patrol Union, and a new report from Griff Jenkins of Fox News, Biden has lost operational control of the situation, at least in a practical sense. The Biden administration had initially warned Texas that it had until mid-day Friday to relinquish control of Shelby Park, the nearby boat dock,

Fort Sumter all over again?
I'm guessing that Joe Biden's bosses didn't expect Texas to challenge the authority of the Supreme Court.

The US Border Patrol and Texas law enforcement are buddies and will not fight each other for some Biden non-enforcement of the immigration laws policy along the borderline. So what is Biden’s next move, fire the entire US Border Patrol?

The SCOTUS ruled by 4 women and a sissy boy are part and parcel of the invasion of America by illegals of every sort from wherever they come from.
First they refused to hear any case of voter cheating, and then they vote to allow the cutting of razor wire put up by Texas.

I appreciate that they won't fight each other, but what lawful orders has BP been following for the last three years?

I know this sounds weird, but maybe this is a little payback from the SC. The feds are allowed to cut the wire but the SC didn’t order Texas to give them access and didn’t prevent Texas from replacing it. This ruling keeps it an “out in the open” public issue. The Texas officials had a smirk. 25 other states joined Texas. 80% of the public think Biden’s immigration policy is crazy. The CBP is still no happy over “whipgate”. So the WH has painted itself into a corner.

"Awww, C'mon man. I'm the President. Everyone has to say what I do! Or the thing!"
This is WONDERFUL and it paints Biden into a corner. Further, it pulls the door wide open for border states to implement security measures that can be left in place unless the Border Patrol is willing to act, and the BP has just declared it will not.
In an election year it shines a great big spotlight on the hapless Biden. He allowed a crisis to form (even the media is now calling it a crisis) and when others are forced into action, Biden's arrogant, confrontational response is bluntly and publicly castrated. The great Joe is an empty and neutered suit.
Further, it's a tar baby. The administration can't walk away from it because it's too big. As with shipping the illegals to "sanctuary cities", it is a huge embarrassment to dems and shows that they are powerless and bereft of ideas and a moral backbone.
Maybe they should send Kamala to Texas to cackle at them. That should fix it right up.

I was hoping for this. The elitists may want a war, but they want the rank and file to do the bleeding. The rank and file have other plans.

Excellent. So, what to do now, biden you cheater? Send fbi thugs to storm Gov. Abbott's house at 3am to arrest him and his wife for breathing? Best that you eat crow, most demented one, and accept defeat once again. Should you keep it up, cheater, expect the Republic of Texas to begin the process of leaving the Union.

The CBP, being a federal law enforcement agency reduced to being a door greeter ala Walmart, cannot go on strike even though they (not necessarily all CBP agents are dues paying members) are members of a union. They have most of the benefits of belonging to a bargaining unit except b being able to strike. That is why federal employees who are part of a union don't quite have all the benefits of union membership that the private sector has.

Completely in line with what I was saying at least 10 years ago - when it all hits the fan, we will be operating as 50 countries instead of 50 states. The governors will figure greatly in how things settle out.

It would be awesome to see Mayorkas lynched.
I've never said, or even thought a thing like that before.
It is a tad extreme.
Maybe tarred and feathered, and then driven with sticks across the Rio Grande.

At some point the Biden Administration will be explaining to the SC why they are exempt from executing Federal law but authorized to stop Governors from protecting their own State. In the meantime they made a huge mistake issuing their little ultimatum. Biden has no one willing to carry it out. Go Texas!

Feckless Joe and his band of buffoons are so weak and inept that the troops are starting to mutiny against him. This is actually a greater threat to American democracy than anything they've ever imagined Trump may have contemplated. A stunning turn of events.

Anecdotally, applications to the TSG are through the roof. Since these guardsmen are not paid unless called out, and they buy their own uniforms, the state can afford lots of them.
