Suddenly 'Cancel Culture' Is Terrible

Original Article

I am old enough to remember when conservatives decried “cancel culture” and the Left scoffed. It wasn’t “cancel culture.” It was about holding people accountable. You could use the wrong pronouns and lose your job because transphobia is literal genocide. Riley Gaines gives a speech at a university and is held hostage for hours, assaulted, and driven off campus the university administration expressed pride in the behavior of the students, not Gaines’ bravery. Professors could have their jobs threatened for discussing Halloween costumes, and they deserved it for being insensitive. Dissent from the orthodoxy that men belong in women’s sports or women’s prisons

Every generation we have to relearn the tricks of the communists, because it seems that they work over and over again. One of them is changing the language. There are some words that, as soon as I hear them, I know I am being manipulated and lied to. 1. Genocide. Not liking someone is not genocide. Avoiding someone is not genocide. Killing someone is not genocide. Killing EVERYONE is genocide. 2. Violence. Doing physical damage to someone is violence. It requires action. Calling someone a doody head is not violence. 3. Fair. Who decides what is fair, and how much of my resources must be stolen to achieve that? 4. Literally. This one is big lately. It is a concrete word that means actually, but has been mutated to mean "maybe, sort of". Every news cycle we seem to get more words whos meaning has been dumbed down. It is tiresome. Overusing superlatives diminishes them when a real one is called for.

Suddenly? No, it has always been terrible - maybe the author needs to read a Bible. Why? It is because a person reading the Bible understands the deeper reasons. Cancel culture is all about rejecting God's ways.

1, "Literally" means "All the other stuff I said? I knew I was talking nonsense but you should accept this as truth because I really truly literally mean it this time!" :-)

For the Evil Left, denying us the use of correct, precise, and effective language is nearly as important as denying us weapons for self defense.

America's infant mortality rate has risen for the first time in more than two decades, increasing significantly in southern and midwestern states. Deaths among infants across the country increased from 19,928 in 2021 to 20,538 in 2022, representing a three percent rise, according to provisional figures from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). Overall, the all-cause infant mortality rate of babies also increased by the same amount during this time, rising from 5.44 infant deaths per 1,000 births to 5.6 infant deaths per 1,000 births — the first year-over-year increase in the rate since 2001 to 2002. Rates of infant deaths increased the most among babies between

Three weeks ago, the media marveled at the meltdown within the Republican Party over the House Speaker self-imposed disaster. Now that the House GOP has managed to stop shooting themselves in the foot, however, the potential for a collapse of the coalition has suddenly become more acute across the aisle. Will Democrats split and collapse over the war Hamas launched on Israel? As Molly Ball writes for the Wall Street Journal, right now the battle between progressives and liberals, and Jews and everyone else in the Democrat coalition, looks far more serious and much more difficult to resolve: To many on the left, the Israel-Hamas war is spurring what feels like

More than 200 faculty members at Columbia University said Tuesday they were “appalled by the spate of antisemitic incidents” on the Manhattan campus, a day after scores of their colleagues signed a letter defending students who supported Hamas’ brutal Oct. 7 terror attack. The new letter came after Jewish students rallied on campus to blast the administration’s “inaction” on what they called an “unsafe” atmosphere in the weeks since the attack, due to at least one attack on an Israeli student, death threats and rampant hate speech and vandalism. While the faculty members agree “there should be robust debate about complex and difficult ,

Ithaca, N.Y. — A Cornell University junior was charged Tuesday with making threats against Jewish students on campus. Patrick Dai, 21, of Pittsford, posted threats on Sunday to shoot up a multicultural dining room on campus to an online discussion site, prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York said in a news release Tuesday night. The dining room, 104West!, serves food that meets Kosher, Halal and other religious guidelines. It’s next to the university’s Center for Jewish Living, where several dozen Jewish students live on campus. Dai also called for the deaths of Jewish people and threatened

You have to hand it to Joe Biden, sometimes he has true gall to say the things that he does. Biden had a typical Biden day: barely anything on his public schedule. Certainly not anything related to any of the crises that he has helped set into motion, such as Americans trapped and/or being held hostage in Gaza. But he did deliver remarks from the White House about "protecting Americans’ retirement security." You can read those remarks here. But what's notable about them is that there's nothing in there that protects anyone's retirement security. It's a recitation of how he's working to cut junk fees. So? People may

Jerusalem CNN — An Israeli strike on the densely populated Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza caused many casualties, officials in the enclave said Tuesday. The Hamas-controlled Ministry of Interior in Gaza reported that “20 homes were completely destroyed in the Israeli bombing that targeted a residential neighbourhood in Jabalya.” The director of Gaza’s Indonesian hospital, Dr. Atef al-Kahlout, told CNN that “hundreds” of dead and injured people arrived at the hospital and “many are still under the rubble.” Israel Defense Forces spokesman Lt. Col. Richard Hecht confirmed to CNN that the Israeli military had launched the strike, and said it was targeting a senior commander from the Hamas militant group.

FBI director Christopher Wray testified Tuesday that antisemitic threats are “reaching historic levels” across the U.S. in the wake of Hamas’s attack on Israel. “I will say that this is a threat that is reaching in some ways sort of historic levels, in part because, as you know all too well, the Jewish community is targeted by terrorists really across the spectrum,” Wray said before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. “In fact, our statistics would indicate that for a group that represents only about 2.4 percent of the American public, they account for something like 60 percent of all religious-faith hate crimes.”

The head of the FBI warned the threat of a terrorist attack within the United States was an extreme concern for the U.S. government and has reached a heightened level since the Israel-Hamas war. FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Tuesday that Hamas's attack on Israel in October "will serve as an inspiration the likes of which we haven’t seen since ISIS launched its so-called caliphate years." "The terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023. But the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a

The Democratic Party is facing a crisis of identity. After Hamas invaded Israel on October 7th, killing well over a thousand people, including many women and children in the most brutal ways, the far-left found itself with a decision to make. Would it apply some nuance to the situation, or would it fall into its default of openly supporting Hamas? Unsurprisingly, they chose door number two, with massive pro-Hamas protests breaking out across the country, many of which have included genocidal language against Jews. That has left the most vocal segment of the Democratic Party in conflict with the President of the United States.

This weekend, hundreds of millions of Americans will dutifully set their clocks back one hour, convincing themselves that they’ve “gained” an hour – despite spending at least part of it resetting all their timepieces. Americans should instead refuse to play along. Few government mandates combine such utter pointlessness and serious public health harms than the twice-a-year switch on and off Daylight Saving Time. It’s time to end the madness. First, despite its label, “Daylight Saving Time” does not save daylight. It doesn’t even save energy. What dominates the mass media is often fleeting importance for the enduring political landscape. Nevertheless, some events can harbinger momentous changes despite their initial ordinary nature. A particularly telling example was the initial shift of small number of White Southern Democrats into the Republican Party in 1964, a little-noticed event that foretold the shift of nearly all Southern Whites into the GOP. Such shifts are tectonic insofar as they may eventually fundamentally change the political landscape. We may now be experiencing a tectonic shift of major magnitude, namely the exodus of Jews from liberalism.
