"Squad" Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court on charges that he illegally pulled a House office building fire alarm. (snip) Bowman got a plea deal: Write a letter of apology to the U.S. Capitol Police and pay a $1,000 fine.
D.C. Superior Court Judge Dorsey Jones told Bowman that he could face six months in prison and a $1,000 fine if he does not write the letter of apology.
Bowman's office told Fox News Digital that the congressman's deal with the D.C. attorney general would see the charges withdrawn if he writes the letter and pays the fine.

In order to match the Jan. 6th sentences that are being handed out to "offenders" . . . this guy should get $1000 fine and 6 years in prison. Jes' sayin'.

Nothing will happen to him. The judge will tell him 'no-no don't do it again' and that will be it.

Let me think for a moment....
If I did this stunt at my place of employment (big box retail) for a stupid reason, I would be terminated for willful misconduct. (unable to collect unemployment)

Jamaal......."the socialist congressman representing The Bronx and Yonkers....."a former school principal in the Bronx in New York City"....."enjoyed support from old guard Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Andrew Cuomo). Bowman, a Justice Democrat who was endorsed by Bernie Sanders"......October 2, 2023/"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez leaped to the defense of fellow New York lawmaker Jamaal Bowman on Sunday after he pulled a fire alarm on Capitol Hill — claiming he acted out of “panic” to open a door as Democrats were trying to stall a vote on the government funding bill."
That is all.

Well I'm shocked. I thought for sure he would say he "thought' he smelled smoke and was just trying to save everyone---even his friends across the aisle. I expected a chorus of "Me, toos" from the Dems.
Amazing how cynical I have become. I wonder why.

Classic two-tier justice system. Democrat gets a slap on the wrist and $1,000 fine with assurance that all will be expunged in 3 months. Meanwhile, MAGA Grandma who was in the wrong place at the wrong time on January 6 gets full prosecution from DC fascists.

It seems to me that the judge bought off on the explanation that Bowman is too stupid auto read and comprehend common signs.

There were some convicted J6 defendants who were NOT at the capitol and got 22 years, after waiting 2+ years to even get a trial. Needless to say, they committed far less severe "offenses" than this Dimocrat.
