A resurgence of citizen activism is making waves on Capitol Hill. Conservatives across the United States are rallying behind Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as he vies for the position of Speaker of the House.
Breitbart News reported that conservatives are “melting” phone lines with calls to GOP members of Congress, urging them to put an end to internal divisions and unite behind Jordan.
“I haven’t seen anything like this in years,” one top House GOP aide told Breitbart News. “They are literally melting the phone lines. Some offices’ numbers are permanently busy. Thousands and thousands of people are calling their members of Congress demanding Jordan for Speaker.”

Get Jordan in there and stop the sibling rivalry. You are beginning to look very foolish, stupid and immature. Jesus Christ would not be good enough for some of these republicans. OMG look at the mess America and the world is in. You are not helping by looking incompetent. There is work to do so get on with it.

This action is encouraging to see. Wait until the same people "unexpectedly" give like support to Donald Trump next year. There will be a lot more "melting" than phone lines on the democrat side.

Just like the "unjust" judge in the Donald Trump trial putting in a gag order, I suppose these Congress representatives will want to put a gag order on the American people. . .

I think people in general are just fed up with all the BS coming out of D.C. and want those they elected to stop acting little kids and start doing what the voters want them to do.

RINO's and denizens of the swamp will probably hold their noses and vote for Jordan, in order to keep those snouts in the DC trough!

Apparently the conservative protestors have more support by the base than the RINO"s do. Enough of the posturing. Get back to governing. You're beginning to look like clowns.

The responses from differing congressional offices is interesting - from nice to rude in varying degrees. Since Steve Womack of Arkansas is reportedly one of the holdouts, I called to urge his support of Jim Jordan. His male phone receptionist said, “the congressman said you will know who he voted for when he votes.”
When I responded that I hoped the congressman was aware of the groundswell of support for Jordan coming into D.C. from citizens all across the country, he said he was keeping the phone lines open for people from Arkansas’ 3rd district and after an insincere “have a nice day, hung up on me. Ha. Quite the dismissive, self important tone in a rude young man. While I recognize that Womack represents the 3rd district of Arkansas, I wondered if his attitude was reflective of his boss.
It is certainly reflective of many officials in D.C. who consistently show us by their actions that they don’t care what the citizens of our country think or want.
It’s time for them to hear frequently enough from all of us to be reminded of our rightful part in the decisions made in our government.

so what!! they're only the citizens and the people who actually make this country run, why should any politician ever want to hear what "they" have to say??!!
that used to be a statement reserved only for demcommies but now, it seems, the repubs have also adopted the very same attitude
We the People have pretty nearly lost our country but the only person who can reverse this is being persecuted and prosecuted in an effort to erase his very existence and we all know who I mean:
President Donald J. Trump
MAGA 2024

McCarthy supporters want payback for what Gaetz did to him.
Voters are telling them to check their egos at the door, elect a speaker, and stop the Dems.

Uh...the word "literally" is used WAY too often in a very NON-literal way. People are such bozos when their writing and language skills and vocabularies are weak.
