After Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson was voted in as the Speaker of the House, many on the left threw a fit about him. He has been described as:
• an “extremist” by Congresswoman AOC of New York City.• a “Christian Nationalist” by a Christian professor (John Fea, Messiah College).
• a "staunch conservative on issues like abortion and government spending" by journalist Garrett Haake of NBC News and MSNBC.
And on it goes.
But the reality is that Mike Johnson stands in a long tradition of American leaders who looked to God and the Bible for guidance. If you know history, you know that great Americans like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and

We watch the news clips, on our televisions or computer screens, and cringe, as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris stumble over their words, even uttering gibberish when prepared remarks are on the printed page in front of them. It has been clear from the start that neither one is up to the intellectual requirements of this (or any) job.
When we can manage a sense of humor, we laugh and attribute it to dementia with Biden, to sheer stupidity with Harris.
When we are not in a mood to laugh, however, we reflect on what it means to our reputation on the world stage, as our enemies —

Hunter Biden claims his addiction has been 'weaponized' to attack his father President Joe Biden and that it's been turned into a 'vile and sustained disinformation campaign.'
In an op-ed published in USA Today on Thursday, President Biden's son talked about his addiction, writing it consisted of a bottle of vodka a day 'and as many hits on a crack pipe as possible.'
The piece comes as the Biden family faces scrutiny from Republicans in Congress over Hunter's business dealings and whether or not the family profited from Joe Biden's public office. Republicans are also weighing articles of impeachment against the president.

A Hamas terrorist who reportedly participated in the horrific attack on Israel last month recently revealed in an interrogation with Israeli intelligence the depraved depths they plunged to that day.
Released Wednesday, the video shows Hamas terrorist Omar Sami Marzuk Abu Rusha telling Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) agents that they were ordered to “kill every person” and then circle back around just to make sure they were dead. “The mission was simply to kill. We weren’t supposed to kidnap, just kill,” he said. “To kill every person we see and come back.”

When historians review the decline of American judiciary in the 21st century, they may have difficulty evaluating the role of one of its most important figures, Chief Justice John Roberts. His responses to a multitude of challenges have been inconsistent, and at times baffling.
In his 2010 State of the Union Address, President Barack Obama broke the event’s longstanding rules of decorum by hectoring the Supreme Court, six members of which were sitting right in front of him. Obama was peeved by the Court’s recent Citizens United decision, which he alleged would “open the floodgates for special interests -- including foreign corporations -- to spend without limit in our elections."

President Joe Biden reportedly became more alarmed about artificial intelligence technology after watching the latest Mission: Impossible movie, starring Tom Cruise.
Biden was spending a weekend at Camp David when he attended a screening of Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, according to a report from the Associated Press. The movie’s main villain is an AI bot known as “the Entity” that goes rogue in the opening sequence and sinks a submarine, killing the crew. “A self-learning, truth-eating, digital parasite,” the Simon Pegg character calls it.The plot apparently left an impression on Biden.
“If he hadn’t already been concerned about what could go wrong with AI before that movie,

The Department of Justice (DOJ) obtained private communications and other personal records of multiple Republican House and Senate staffers who were investigating the department’s role in the origins of the Russia collusion hoax, according to former senior Trump administration official Kash Patel.
A recently-revealed subpoena shows that the DOJ sought the records for not only Patel when he was an investigator for then-Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), but also those of Jason Foster, who was at the time chief investigative counsel to then-Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (I-IA) and was also looking into the DOJ’s role in the hoax.

The migrant caravan heading to the U.S. has grown by over by a thousand in just 24 hours, as social media teaches Chinese citizens how to reach the American dream.
Hundreds more have joined the caravan of migrants in Mexico bound north, one of the organizers said, bringing the total number to about 7,000 as the group traveled through the southern state of Chiapas.
Organizer Irineo Mujica said on Tuesday the caravan had swelled since Monday by about 1,000 to more than 7,000 people, although a spokesperson for the Chiapas government said state authorities still estimated its size at around 3,500 participants.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Tuesday on the Center for Politics podcast “Politics Is Everything” that House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) was “dangerous” because he went along with former President Donald Trump’s claims of election fraud in 2020.
Cheney said, “Mike is somebody that I knew well. We were elected together. Our offices were next to each other. Mike is somebody who says that he’s committed to defending the Constitution. But that’s not what he did when we were all tested in the aftermath of the 2020 election.”She continued, “Mike in my experience, and, I was very, deeply involved and engaged as the conference chair,

Cornell University has announced a 'community day' and is set to cancel classes on Friday after a student was caught making threats against Jews on campus.
In an email to the prestigious college's Ithaca and Geneva campuses, university heads said the decision has been made due to 'extraordinary stress' of the recent developments.
'We hope that everyone will use this restorative time to take care of yourselves and reflect on how we can nurture the kind of caring, mutually supportive community that we all value,' the email read.

President Joe Biden’s administration is now advising schools across the United States to keep the overdose reversal drug naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, in stock amid a surging number of fentanyl deaths among American children.
In a letter to the nation’s school systems, Biden and Education Department Secretary Miguel Cardona ask administrators to begin carrying naloxone and train teachers on how to administer the drug when a student is overdosing or being poisoned by fentanyl.
“In the midst of this fentanyl overdose epidemic, it is important to focus on measures to prevent youth drug use and ensure that every school has naloxone and has prepared its students and faculty

The Democratic mayors of Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and New York say they are ready to travel to meet President Joe Biden next week as they press for $5 billion in funding to help cope with the surge in migrants arriving in their cities.
In a letter released Wednesday, they say they are having to get by with little help from his administration.
Such is the urgency, that they are proposing to travel to Washington, D.C., for a crisis meeting within days. In the meantime, migrants are sleeping in police station foyers in Chicago. In New York, a cruise ship terminal was turned into a shelter.
