In yet another example of how crazy this news week has been, we learned Tuesday that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and her companion were confronted by ushers and escorted out of a Denver theater Sunday over multiple complaints that they were taking photos, vaping and “causing a disturbance” during a "Beetlejuice" show.
To quickly recap, according to reports, Boebert allegedly refused to leave at first and told theater employees when they threatened to involve the Denver PD to go and get them.
An incident report noted that Boebert also allegedly tried a power play on the ushers after she and the unidentified man left their seats

Didn't take long for the media to pounce on this story.

Unforced error. I hate it when Republicans do something like this to themselves because the media enjoys taking advantage. You have to smarter than this.

There are a fair number of halucigenics that could be introduced by a third party through food or drink to create such a situation. CIA has always been good at this.
Is her behavior typical? Is she known to act like this? Or is this behavior atypical.

"Do you know who I am!" - If I lived in her district, she just lost my vote.
Given the liberal bent of the MSM, Republicans need to be smarter than this.

Boebert does a good job in Congress, and I would continue to support her. I am not getting on the bandwagon to ruin every Republican.

How you treat "the little people" really does matter to the Republican side. Having said that, the incident is hardly Chappaquiddick.
Her lame arse apology made her look a groveling fool and shoulda used 4 words, "I am so sorry." Period. Any apology longer than 4 words is an evasion.
Then she shoulda sent the staff of the theater some kinda cool small gesture like flowers or fruit or whatever. Prolly still should.

Wasn’t there another female Republican Congresswoman who only yesterday was found to have made sex tapes with her husband or something? What is going on with these women?

Yeah #7 all the headlines had the word Democrat in them so yeah she was a Republican, geez. As far as this one goes, she has shown weakness. If she can’t keep her personal life in tact then stay the heck home, get drunk, jump and down on the bed, do whatever it take to relieve some stress but don’t give the media fuel. Very dumb move.

Having lived in that district in the past, Boebert just committed political suicide. She will be in a fierce election battle again in 2024, to defend the seat that she won by just 500 or so votes in 2022. It is too, too bad because she could have been a shining star on the conservative side in D.C. The "do you know who I am", narrative doesn't fly well. She will be gone come Nov. 2024. It is too bad.

Unexcusable, childish and rude behavior in the theater toward other audience members, theater personnel and security! Followed by a whiny pack of excuses. This woman is so puffed up with pride because she's been unduly applauded for precious little in actual achievement.

Take a break from all the posts defending her... another CCTV has surfaced showing her acting like a high school senior high on Thunderbird wine being aggressively fondled by her date with children all around.

Boebert has hit a new level of morality and family values. "Drag a hundred dollars through a trailer park and there's no telling what you'll find." James Carville

In any situation, if you find yourself wanting to blurt out the words, "Do you know who I am?", immediately stop and reconsider your actions.
You are almost always in the wrong.
They ought to teach this at Little Politicians' School.

Drinking to excess, or possibly using the legal drugs in that state (where I am right now) can lead to doing foolish things in public.
A great reason to never use drugs, and to be very careful about alcohol consumption.

#16, You know, people are always blaming alcoholic consumption for their bad behavior. Apparently, being drunk removes your inhibitions and impulse control, but does it remove your ability to think?
I have found myself very, very drunk and few times in my life. and thought, "You are very, very drunk. Think real hard about everything you are doing." Can't say as I made the best choices after that, but I could never say, "I'm Drunk! I didn't know what I was doing!"
Being drunk doesn't make you do stupid things; it just allows you to convince yourself you are not responsible for doing stupid things. They should do a study on this.

If you're going to engage in a grope fest with your date in public, do it in a dark bar and not in a theater surrounded by kids.
As for her, "Do you know who I am?" moment, well... I know who you *used* to be.

#17 - I had a CO who, when holding mast and hearing that classic "I-was-drunk" excuse from a sailor who returned late from liberty, would ask, "Were you passed out?""No, Sir, I uh-" "Well, then, you weren't drunk enough. 30 days restriction."
