Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday on Newsmax TV’s “The Balance” that he would not sign the Republican National Committee’s pledge to support the GOP nominee to attend the first primary debate on August 23 on Fox News.
Trump said, “I’ve already decided and I’ll be announcing something next week.”
Host Eric Bolling said, “Fox senior executives came and had dinner with you and pitched you. Did they move the needle?” Trump said, “Well they were very nice. Look, they were very nice.”
Bolling said, “The only reason I say this, I put a poll up on Twitter. At least two-thirds of the people don’t want you to do the debate

So......in the unlikely event he doesn't win the nomination, he will kick all of the sand out of the sandbox, launch a third party bid and guarantee 4 more years of Biden/Harris.
I don't like half of the Republicans running, but I would take any of them over Biden, Harris or Newsom.

I think the RNC needs a good lesson. If Trump is railroaded, stay home, don't vote and let the RNC die along with the rest of America. If Trump, the legitimate president, is not on the ballot, voting will not accomplish anything, we are officially a banana republic and moving closer to the necessary final solution that none of us really want but it will be the only way forward.

Good for him. The republican party has done nothing for him. Don't sign anything.

This is concerning. Makes me want to ask Donald Trump who he voted for in 2008 and then again in 2012. Did he support John McCain or did he vote for Barack Obama? Was Mitt Romney his candidate to vote for or Barack Obama in 2012? His answers would be quite telling. So if he doesn't win the Republican nomination, will he vote for Joe Biden?

Nobody cares about pledges or who will or won't make them except the folks who like to argue about it. How many votes, in the history of voting, were ever swayed by a loser endorsing someone who beat him?

Has anyone read how this would be enforced? If a candidate signs on to the plan, but then goes on to bash the winner, who and how will they be dealt with/punished?
This is the lamest stunt and sounds like a plan a high school club's teacher-moderator would come up with.

Neither a pledge nor a debate is a constitutional requirement to participate in a presidential election and, #6, losing a battle is not the same as losing a war. It can be an effective strategy and allowing democrat voters to suffer under four more years of their own poor choices is a good way to end the democrat party forever.

Trump is a bit like myself. Dependent on who the GOP picks I will not support them.
I would just stay home.

Don't debate and don't sign anything like a stupid pledge. It's over the general can start tomorrow if Trump is cheated by the RNC I'm not voting this will be my last election to vote in especially if stolen again we are doomed anyway. Civil War at this point would be the only solution to the problem.

I agree. I wouldn't ever support Christie or Pence for anything, no matter what.
