Barack Obama is often hailed as one of the greatest orators in modern politics. While he had undeniable gifts in that department, as someone who attended a number of his speeches in person, I never quite understood all the praise. Setting aside his career-making “red states, blue states” speech at the 2004 Democratic convention — a plea for political moderation he spent his time in office repudiating — the only memorable things Obama said were either campaign pablum such as “hope and change,” or remarks that were unintentionally revealing.
In the latter category, my personal favorite remark was this comment

Every communist/socialist is on the wrong side of history; why should Obama be any different?

I've seen three video on Youtube. Two were with Obama tells a group of people he was born in Kenya. One was with Mikey telling people Obama was born in Kenya. His grandmother said he was born in Kenya, she was there for the birth. So anything after that is likely just as big of a lie.

One of the greatest orators in modern politics? I beg to differ, Mark. Ever hear the clown try to talk when off the prompter? "Uh...er...ehh..."

Well written skewering of a fraud of a man who hates white people as well as the white half of his being. The words "Silver Tongued Devil" come to mind even though he borrowed most of his rhetoric from others. His own historic past is hidden for a reason, it would effectively expose the lie that is his entire life.

None of the baritone bilge that comes out of his mouth is his own. Even the lies!

I don't think obama hates white people; I think he hates anyone who isn't homosexual. He doesn't strike me as a serious person. He's one who's coasting through life amazed at his alarming good luck and how god-like he appears to some idiots out there.

I always found him to talk a lot but says very little. He was the laziest president in our history. Valerie Jarret ran him and the presidency.

I never considered that bum an elite anything. His voice was irritating and pedantic. He didn't inspire. Queen Elizabeth's father, King George had a stutter he fought to control his entire life, and I found his speeches less irritating. Obama always reminded me of a teacher who couldn't teach, and put you to sleep with his declamations.
I would rather have listened to a dog bark.

I listened to exactly one of Obama’s speeches and found it so irritating. He hemmed and hawed and hissed and sputtered and hissed some more, I couldn’t even concentrate on what he was saying. That man is no orator and anyone who says so is lying to cover up his gross flaws.

Everything that "is being exposed" has been laying there waiting for people to notice all along. It took willful ignorance to avoid knowing what a complete fraud he was and is. For example while he was BS'ing the country into believing he was a new fresh brand above the petty childish dirty fray, his record of getting his Illinois senate opponents sealed divorce records opened and in the forefront of his campaign was out there for any who was the least bit curious.
While people bought into the "just a guy in the neighborhood" line his close relationship with domestic terrorist William Ayers was public information.

The Dems, media and many Republicans sold us a phony bag of Presidential goods. And a lot of white suburban women bought in to his "exotic background" as a co-worker once remarked to me. Just like Obama is playing Joe Biden for the idiot he is and was as VP, so Obama continues to play white Americans for the suckers he thinks we are, well, too many of us. I guess it's the ultimate way for a half-white/half Kenyan black man to stick it to whitey.

Orator??? This freak can't speak a sentence without hemming and hawing. Rush Limbaugh had an excellent piece. He played 2 minutes and warned there were 20 more minutes of this rubbish. The Kenyan born is corrupt but for a lefty community organizer dog that is the right side of everything, oh, the exception being, he needs gazillion dollar homes to protect himself from the proletariat. They were used and the fools did not realize it, but that is enough for him. He is one of the dumbest hollow jack asses who is only out for tons of money. End of the punk.

FTA on Obie's “permission structure” thing (which the author discloses is a marketing term):
Ironically enough, I thought of the “permission structure” remark reading David Samuels’ interview in Tablet with Obama biographer David Garrow, which is shaping up to be perhaps the most discussed piece of journalism of the year. That’s because the entire article is a really effective “permission structure” for a lot of Obama voters and moderates to finally admit he’s an entirely overrated, largely failed president who was far more radical than he ever let on. He’s also obsessed with celebrity and not very loyal to the people who helped him along the way.

If you want to save some time just jump down to the final sentence in the article, it will probably align with what you already know.
