On Friday, former President Donald Trump was among the speakers at the Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Dinner in Iowa. The gala event, also attended by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, and several other notable Republicans, was an opportunity for potential presidential candidates to outline their political stance ahead of the 2024 race. The list of GOP presidential candidates scheduled to speak included former Ambassador Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott, entrepreneur and author Vivek Ramaswamy, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, political commentator Larry Elder, Perry Johnson, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, businessman Ryan Binkley, and former Texas Representative Will Hurd.

The GOPe numbskulls who are ok with this are utterly contemptible. Trump is beside the point, this is a corrupt action on the part of a regime who’s attempting to assign to themselves permanent power. I suppose none of them have enough ambition to actually attain enough power to be a threat to the socialists, so their share of the spoils will never be in jeopardy.

Will Hurd? One of the most forgettable figures in political history, the ONLY place where his name was ever known was the Texas district he ran in...those that knew him best then voted him right back out. His only national mention was when he and Robert Francis O'Rourke rented a car together and drove from Texas to DC...facebooking the whole way.

Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team admitted in a federal court filing in Miami this week that the government had not, in fact, given all of its evidence to the court for President Donald Trump’s defense team to review — the same thing Trump is alleged to have done. Smith has charged Trump with 40 counts in the so-called “documents” case. Among them is the accusation that Trump caused his lawyers to tell the government that they had handed over all of the documents the government wanted, when in fact they had not.The indictment against Trump alleges that he conspired with his staff to move boxes of documents,

Ron DeSantis said he will follow the primary election rules, whatever they may be – but said it's clear some state GOPs are trying to sway the results against smaller candidates. The comment comes as Donald Trump still refuses to take the vow to support whichever candidate becomes the GOP nominee in order to participate in the debates. The former president, according to his own staff, also feels the debates are beneath him. Trump posted to Truth Social on Monday that he would use the debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 23 to consider vice presidential candidates.

CNN buried the story Tuesday of Devon Archer’s explosive testimony at the House Oversight Committee the day before, which implicated President Joe Biden in his son Hunter’s influence-peddling schemes and suggested the president lied to the country. Archer testified, among other things, that Hunter Biden had put his father on a speakerphone to talk to his business associates at least 20 times, contradicting repeated claims by the president that he had never spoken to his family about their business affairs. He also confirmed that Hunter Biden made money from business deals in China, debunking another one of his father’s denials. And he said that Hunter Biden’s role on the board of the
