The Masculinity Vacuum

Original Article

There is a hardwired instinct in all men that drives them to give their lives and use their strength in projects and ambitions beyond themselves. This drive is built into them by their creator, because he made them in his image, and it exists around the world, across all religions, nations, and generations. It is part of masculinity. All men have this instinctive drive, it is only a matter of how they use it. For a few hundred years, Christianity held influence over American masculinity. Men used their strength and ambition to build, bless, provide for, and protect the weak.

Either that, #1, or portrayed as dumb, insensitive, and needing correction from a female, preferably minority. How would other groups feel if they were portrayed that way on TV shows and commercials?

Very interesting article. I agree with most of it. I am 82, so the men in my lifetime were definitely masculine! The men were in charge of the family! Mom took care of the Home and the Children. I know it looks Old Fashioned to this generation, but looking back, it was good! Men out of high school either learned a Skill or went on to college (which at that time was rare unless they wanted to be a Doctor or Attorney)! The Father set the Rules for the Children and they also were the ones who made sure they were adhered to! Children obeyed because there was a Consequence (hence the saying "wait until your Father gets home)". Today, things are different and it's not good! I see young men, who should be married, having a family and established in a good job, instead still living with their Parents, no job, no wife or family and some are Forty! I blame the parents who should have pushed them out of the nest long ago! Young men, now, go to college, then when they get their first job, they quit in a year because they think they should be making six figures and telling the Boss how to run the place! So they quit, then go on welfare. Or, they get a job and then demand they be allowed to work at home! Sissified men who will never amount to anything and who any woman with half a Brain wouldn't look twice at! This Article points them out!!

There is an Orkin commercial that is a cultural snapshot of what has happened to men. Commercial opens with a young woman tennis player swatting everything in someone's backyard - flowers, plants, light bulbs... then cut to an obviously perturbed wife who barks at her husband "I told you to hire a pro" (she runs the show already) and the feckless husband, looking like an idiot says "I did". The wife corrects the man "An ORKIN pro". Then a black woman appears next to the condescending woman and offers her services as savior "I got this". Four characters in this advertisement... 1. Vivaciously athletic woman who is the tennis pro 2. Superior woman who tells her husband what to do then tells him how stupid he is for having done it wrong. 3. Black woman who is the hero and rises above everyone else with knowledge and ability 4. Man who is an idiot, through and through I'll drink a 6 pack of Bud Light I bought at Target before I'll do business with Orkin.

The present-day Left bears little resemblance to the old civil-libertarian, integrationist Democratic Party that existed from the 1960s through 2000. The antecedents to its current madness were once previewed in the old party’s extremist wing of campus radicals of the 1960s and 1970s. They were accentuated by Black Lives Matter and Antifa during the Obama years, forged during the COVID lockdown and George Floyd riots, and polished during the era of Trump derangement syndrome. On almost every issue, Democrats have repudiated their prior reverence for the Supreme Court.

America’s day of reckoning has arrived. After decades of lofty sanctuary rhetoric and scandalously reckless immigration policies, we now face some big questions with no easy answers. Where are we to put the millions of new arrivals? How will we pay for them? What is the cost to our society? While Joe Biden and his team of anti-borders radicals have been busy turning our country into a make-a-wish charity for the rest of the world’s population, it seems little, if any, thought was given to where all these newcomers would reside.

We hear a lot about the loss of “institutional legitimacy” these days. One of the great ironies attendant on that loss is a revolution in sentiment among many—but by no means all—people who think of themselves as conservative. Hitherto, such people would have been staunch supporters of those institutions that, traditionally, had represented the rule of law, the continuity of our culture, etc. Nowadays, they look with a jaundiced eye upon once-respected institutions like the Department of Justice, the FBI, the CIA, and the rest of the national security/surveillance apparat. How could it be otherwise? Recent revelations that scores if not hundreds of figures from that world had insinuated themselves

As we all now know, former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 37 counts of willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice and false statements after a special counsel investigation. However, was the president set up by the federal government? That is a possible defense that floated into a letter to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in April by Trump’s attorneys, in which they allege the National Archives and Records Administration “has become overtly political and declined to provide archival assistance to President Trump’s transition team” — the first such incidence of this to happen in 40 years.

We’ve long been critical of Hollywood’s lack of fresh, new ideas and its apparent fascination with rebooting past films or giving us a sequel decades later. Sadly, merely paying homage to the original material is insufficient. Instead, producers opt to incorporate “wokeness,” believing it will be more appealing to modern viewers, but in the process, they end up taking something beloved and turning it into garbage that the masses don’t want to see. The latest example is Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, the prequel series to the 1978 hit film Grease. I’m not sure who wanted this — it’s bad enough to hear any of the original songs

Something changed last week inside the Beltway that suggests the people who run the Democratic Party now realize President Biden’s tenure in office is not sustainable beyond 2024. The “tell” was not, however, the latest revelation by IRS whistleblowers about his corrupt administration. It was instead the sudden awakening of the White House press corps. The same “reporters” who snored through more than two years of preposterous claims by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and her predecessor simultaneously woke up Friday. Correspondents from media outlets CNN, CBS, NBC, and even the New York Times aggressively questioned Jean-Pierre about the metastasizing Hunter Biden scandals.

In 2024 Republicans cannot "out-fraud" the left, cannot "out-ballot-harvest" them, cannot "out-lawfare" them, cannot "out-media" them, cannot "out–contribution mule" them, cannot "out–Justice Department" them...but sure as hell can out-compute them — and that may do it. The left owns the election apparatus — voting equipment, ballot-manufacturing, vagrant habitats, election commissions, media intimidation of judges not to look at election fraud and driving out any lawyer who raises a valid case. Electioneering, by both sides, currently runs 1970s technology. Leftists make good use of obsolete relational tech; Republicans, not so much. In 2024, there is an opportunity to out-compute the left.
