With his latest big win secured, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is moving into rare space. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich just declared, “Speaker McCarthy has already begun an historic speakership.” Today, Rasmussen Reports put McCarthy on the throne of public approval. He now has a 50% favorable rating, higher than former Speaker Nancy Pelosi reached in her second stint in the top job, according to a YouGov polling timeline for her. And many have declared her one of the greatest House speakers. McCarthy, who had to fight through over a dozen ballots to win the top House job, has reached his new high on the success of

However unsatisfactory the debt ceiling bill may be, it could have been a lot worse — and would have been under any of the previous Republican speakers. No doubt this article will elicit the usual array of snarky comments, but the fact remains: he did the best he could do with the cards he was dealt.

That means the other half of the sample disapproved of him. So, if every other person you met disapproved of you, would you consider that a success? Think about it. Of course, considering Congress as a whole has a disapproval rating approaching 90%, one could almost deem this rating a monumental achievement!

Never ceases to amaze me how dumb 50% of our population is. Kevin McCarthy was the one who insisted that the bill extend until 2025. He gave up EVERY piece of leverage we had! And so did the RINO traitors who voted for it as well!

Article written by a DC Propaganda Hack for a Deep Swamp Newspaper quoting a poll by some outfit no one ever heard of. McCarthy is a traitor, corrupt member of the Deep Swamp and one of these so-called conservatives in the Freedom Caucus better make a motion to vacate. By the way pretty amazing how quickly Marjorie Taylor Green has morphed into one of the Deep Swamp. She is now one of McCarthy's butt kissing sycophants.

I'm with the other 50%. The debt ceiling increase should have remained at the 1% standard. McCarthy gave a wild-spending democrat a ten percent increase as a reward for wasteful, useless, reckless spending. Anything Newt Gingrich likes has to be bad.

NEW YORK -The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday sued Coinbase, accusing the largest U.S. cryptocurrency exchange of operating illegally without having first registered with the regulator. Tuesday's lawsuit came one day after the SEC sued Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, and its founder Changpeng Zhao. Both cases are part of SEC Chair Gary Gensler's push to assert jurisdiction over crypto and offer better protection to investors who trade virtual currencies. "Coinbase's alleged failures deprive investors of critical protections, including rulebooks that prevent fraud and manipulation, proper disclosure, safeguards against conflicts of interest, and routine inspection,"

Another plane carrying migrants arrived in Sacramento on Monday, and California officials believe they came from Florida. The plane carrying about 20 migrants arrived on Monday in Sacramento after more than a dozen South American migrants were flown on a charter jet from New Mexico over the weekend. “Documents carried by the migrants appear to show that the weekend flight was arranged through the Florida Division of Emergency Management and that it was part of the state’s program to relocate migrants, mostly from Texas, to other states, California Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta said,” reported the Los Angeles Times. “The contractor for the program is Vertol Systems Co., which coordinated

An unusual and perhaps notable event unfolded at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore this week, one of the only regional defense summits in the region held each year. Most of you are already no doubt aware of the increasing level of tension between the United States and China that has been growing steadily for the past two years. Many have been speculating about the possibility of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan and even the possibility of World War 3. But Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu addressed the conference and took a decidedly different tone than we’ve been hearing out of Beijing recently. He bemoaned the idea that

WASHINGTON — The pilot of a business jet that flew over Washington and crashed in a remote part of Virginia appeared to be slumped over and unresponsive, three U.S. officials said Monday, recounting observations by fighter pilots who intercepted the wayward flight. The revelations came as federal investigators trudged through rugged terrain to reach the site where the plane slammed into a mountain Sunday, killing four people. The officials who said that the fighter pilots saw the civilian pilot slumped over had been briefed on the matter and spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details of the military operation.

A Vermont school district has agreed to settle out of court with a $125,000 payment to a family that district officials punished over their criticism of a boy the district allowed to use the girls’ locker rooms at the school. Last year, a coach objected to rules set by Randolph Union Middle School in Vermont, where a teen boy who claimed to be a “transgender girl” was allowed to “creep out” girls in the girls’ locker rooms. The situation escalated when the school’s girls’ soccer coach, Travis Allen, complained to district officials that the boy was causing the real girls to feel uncomfortable.
