The reaction to the recent New York City subway confrontation that resulted in the death of homeless man Jordan Neely and the arrest of former Marine Sergeant Daniel Penny demonstrates so much of what has gone wrong with our society and how far the level of civil discourse has fallen. (Snip) In the moments prior to the tragic encounter that led to his death, Neely was throwing garbage at subway passengers and screaming that he didn’t care if he went to prison for the rest of his life. Lose. Not loose. Neely was a deranged bum on the loose. Those idjits trying to lynch Marine Sgt Penny need to lose their case.

A woke mob in NYC? No way! sarc/ There really is just one question now. . .how many woke fools will be on the jury? Most other locations around the country, outside other big, formerly American cities, Marine Sergeant Daniel Penny would be a hero. But remember, this is NYC! Where being a woke idiot will get you the fast track to elected office!

If this raving, threatening criminal had been in jail due to the 40 times he had been arrested for similar actions including punching an elderly woman in the face, he would still be alive... nome sane??

Accidental but not surprising death for Neely. People like this usually end up that way, release Penny.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, said in a new interview Sunday that migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border should be sent to every city "throughout the entire country." "We have 108,000 cities, villages, towns. If everyone takes a small portion of that, and if it's coordinated at the border, to ensure that those who are coming here to this country in a lawful manner is actually moved throughout the entire country, it is not a burden on one city," Adams said in an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is demanding textbook publishers hand over records to show if any companies making reading materials for the state had caved to Florida's demands to remove some topics about race and other historical subjects. On May 15, the Florida Department of Education rejected around one-third of social studies textbooks proposed to the department for the start of the 2023-2024 school year, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Publishers can still make an appeal if their book was added to the list, and the list is expected to shorten. According to the outlet, officials from the department of

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., blasted Democratic Senator John Fetterman's "unbecoming" decision to attend a Senate press conference while wearing a hoodie and shorts. "John Fetterman redefined Casual Friday on a Thursday morning," Boebert wrote on Twitter. "It’s truly unbecoming for someone to show up like that to any job, let alone a job that only 100 people are elected to do." The Pennsylvania senator attended a Thursday news conference to discuss debt limit negotiations wearing a white hoodie, gray workout shorts, and running shoes, while standing alongside four fellow Democratic Senators who all were dressed in a suit and tie.

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has overestimated the value of the weapons it has sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion — an accounting error that could be a boon for the war effort because it will allow the Defense Department to send more weapons now without asking Congress for more money. The acknowledgment Thursday comes at a time when Pentagon is under increased pressure by Congress to show accountability for the billions of dollars it has sent in weapons, ammunition and equipment to Ukraine and as some lawmakers question whether that level of support should continue. It also could free up

Target (TGT) has become a target for major thefts, and it's taking a huge chunk out of profits. The retailer estimated in its earnings release Wednesday that inventory shrinkage — mostly the theft of merchandise — would clip profits by a whopping $500 million this year. Factoring in an about $700 million profit hit from inventory shrinkage in 2022, Target is on pace to see $1.2 billion in profits go up in smoke, due primarily to organized retail crime. Target Chairman and CEO Brian Cornell says the problem is getting worse, is nationwide, and across various merchandise departments. "The unfortunate

As discussed here many, many times, the big problem with generating electricity from wind and solar sources is that they are intermittent. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don’t. And sometimes they don’t work for days on end. The times when both wind and sun fail at the same time for multiple days tend to be concentrated in the very coldest days of the winter. This poses a huge problem for central planners’ dreams of “net zero” electricity. Try to solve the problem with grid-scale batteries, and suddenly you’re talking wildly unaffordable costs in the trillions of dollars.
