As we sit comfortably in our homes, having dinner with our families, crime rates are going up all around us. (snip) Now, under the guise of prohibiting discrimination based on race, religion, sex, etc., Democrats have proposed regulations that would force jurisdictions that accept HUD funding to "promote equity in their communities, decrease segregation, and increase access to opportunity and community assets for people of color and other underserved communities." In other words, the left is saying that the route to upward mobility for disadvantaged minorities is dependent on their relocation to more affluent areas

This is Obama speaking AGAIN...promoting equity by bringing us all down to the lowest level possible. It is the difference between Conservatives and Socialists. Conservatives help bring everyone up; Socialists want to bring us alll down. King Barack tried this fifteen years ago.

No. It is hard to even put two words together on this subject because it is so offensive to me. Don’t force the problems you created on the good people of this country. We have worked hard to be able live in a community that is safe, clean and devoid of the chaos and mayhem that thrives in your cities. You broke it, you bought it. You’ve made work a dirty word, entitlement a way of life, and personal responsibility something that is unheard of. A change of scenery will not help with the abject disaster you have created. We do not want to be the dumping ground so you can spread more of your policy disasters around the country. I would urge anyone concerned about this to make your views known to your community government.

It is starting slowly here in my little town in a rural(ish) part of Virginia. I now call my town a Little Charlottesville for all the bits of talk and proposed policies by local government that sounds like some lefty college student at UVA. e have had over two years and counting of every Saturday the weekly aged hippies with their BLM signs on a major intersection in town and people complain but the town continues it. The town "managed" by a bunch of white upper income incumbents.

This is well under way. They tore down the high rise housing projects in Chicago and moved the dependent class to the DuPage county suburbs. DuPage county had been a staunch bastion of conservatism but no more, now it's solidly democrat. Why win in Cook county with 98% of the vote when you can attain the exact same win with 95% and turn the collar counties from a 55% to 45% loss to a 51%+ win? Made up numbers of course, just to make the point.

This is actually a positive to affluent communities that want to become even more elite. Instead of "little" low cost housing in a specific jurisdiction, there will be less or none. Typical of low IQ leftists - they think only of direct effects; never considering potential side effects.

This is not a simple issue. Do I want a hi-rise of low income housing built down the street - No! But my family's net worth has been largely based on mortgaged property for generations. Black minorities were denied that route to wealth through bank red-lining in Northern cities up till the sixties. After the civil war, Democrat-led racism stole black-owned farms and properties forcing Blacks to flee into Northern tenements. Segregation into lower quality schools further doomed Blacks and for decades they have been scammed into voting for their prior Democrat slave masters through ignorance and false promises. Trump had it right, Jobs and a good economy are the route to bettering all our citizens. Even Bill Clinton understood (somewhat reluctantly) that WORK not welfare was the way forward. Respect may be due all men but it is also earned.

Began a couple of decades ago in my area. A number of the original neighbors escaped but they are now experiencing the same influx into their new neighborhoods. As Paul Harvey used to say "you can run but you can't hide". Malcolm X related in the early '60s that the white liberals are the enemy. They know best how you should live.

We see it happening with nice new, soon to be trashed, Section 8 free government apartments built on our rural roads new $500K housing additions with no mass transit and shopping for even basic necessity a long walk or bike ride. The leftist Obama's goal is to bring then to the polls and dilute the conservative candidates majority with the handout recipients. And my neighbors are totally oblivious!

No. I worked my whole life to afford this house. As it is I have to put up with the trash down the road turning their place into a junkyard and the occasional drug house. I dont need the "undeserved community" moving in and making it worse. My kid lives in an older neighborhood. Since she moved in ten years ago they put up welfare apartments. Most of the houses on the street have fallen into disrepair or been abandoned. The police do raids regularly on the drug houses and it doesn't help. Theft is rampant and rarely even gets reported anymore. Keep that garbage where it belongs.

This nothing new here in Massachusetts. They did this in every industrial ghost town. When the mills left for cheaper labor abroad these formerly prosperous towns declined economically. The town governments naively accepted federal funds in return for public housing and a welfare office. Suddenly these towns looked like our southern border does now and quickly became high crime ghettos. Then the drugs came and gangs and guns, formerly quiet little towns became the wild west. One such small town had the distinction of being America's heroin capital. This came about because of the town's gangs New York connections. When the feds came with buckets of money the towns spent it mostly on schools and very little on public safety. The small fire and police departments were overwhelmed and many police and firemen jumped ship leaving unfilled positions. This is the Obama vision for America.

This is the racism that Democrats practice. Are they assuming that the poor and ‘underserved’ cannot possibly be white? And suburban residents cannot possibly be brown or black? This has nothing to do with race. That’s just how they’re selling it. This is pure socialism.

This is real and happening now.... Our lovely unincorporated area was "voted" into a city thru "ranked choice voting," recently. Now the move is on to fill it with tall buildings of "affordable housing," that look like barracks or prison blocks. Our roomy complex of 48 unit spread about 10 acres is definitely on their radar. In their minds our land should be filled with 400-to-500 units.

Where will you spend eternity when you leave this world? Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personnel savior? That is most important! He is coming back one day soon and He will set things right when He does. We can't fix what's been done but He can and will. He will deal with the wicked when He comes be assured of that. Put your trust in Him, He will never fail us.

Another plan for “affordable housing” involves woke community officials telling homeowners they can build another dwelling on their already occupied lot. Feds want to get rid of minimum lot sizes in communities where there are too few residents with modest incomes. That way Democrats can squeeze more people (and their cars) into the same suburban or small town neighborhood. The quiet suburbs middle Americans worked to afford will be changed forever. Some politicians simply do not want middle Americans to have nice things. Pay attention to who they are.

Well, yet another supposedly “damning” video of Tucker Carlson got leaked to Media Matters for America (“MMFA”). As with the others, it shows Tucker when he’s not seated at his desk speaking to the audience but is, instead, conversing with those around him, whether in person, on the phone, or via text. MMFA, which despises Tucker Carlson, presumably released this material to show Tucker in a bad light. However, for conservatives, the videos give us a first-hand look at a real, thoughtful, funny, and intelligent man we’d love to meet for a beer. So I ask, mostly facetiously and a tiny bit seriously, is Tucker the man behind the leak

My assessment of the probability of Donald Trump receiving a fair trial on the highly questionable charges (falsifying business records) brought against him by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg just plummeted to subterranean levels. The judge in the case just metaphorically peed on Trump’s leg and told him it was raining, to employ a venerable and colorful American expression. He issued a gag order and specified that he was not issuing a gag order and violated Trump’s First Amendment rights while claiming he didn’t violate his First Amendment rights. The technical name, albeit a less flamboyant one than the metaphor of micturition, is dissimulation.
