The whole world is commenting on and speculating about the abrupt departure of former Fox commentator Tucker Carlson from that network. (snip) They were treating me as though by my talking to Mr. Carlson and Mr. Bannon, no matter about what—no matter that the issues and evidence that I brought to these platforms and to these interlocutors were both true and important—I was burning my I-am-a-good-person membership club card, in some kind of public ritual of immolation, and that thus I would have to be exiled far from the progressive community and shamed away entirely from the warming of progressive campfires. “Unclean! I loved reading this study. I truly did.
I loved it despite the fact that the authors themselves didn’t understand the meaning of their research. (snip) this Yale study from a few years back (snip) demonstrated that white liberals literally use smaller words when talking to nonwhite people, while conservatives do not. (snip)

Louisiana – Kenner police this week revealed a racial motive in the killing of a 66-year-old handyman.
Two black male suspects, Tahj Matthews, 23 and Maurice Holmes, 25, admitted to their role in killing Lawrence Herr while he was repairing a mailbox last month.
One of the suspects told police he “just wanted to kill a white guy.”
Matthews and Holmes were both charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal drive-by shooting on April 10.
According to reports, the suspects gunned down Lawrence Herr while he was repairing a mailbox on Kenner’s Georgetown Place.
Both suspects are being held in the Jefferson Parish Correction Center, according to WVUE.
