Some will be looking out for the tiniest glimpse of the anointing (good luck with that) or the glint of the Great Star of Africa, the world’s largest diamond, in the head of the Sceptre.
Historians and theologians won’t know where to start. Royal-watchers will be waiting to see who steals the show. Prince Harry? Prince Louis? The page boys?
And then there is the music...Everyone, surely, will be waiting for that extraordinary moment when St Edward’s Crown is lowered and the cry echoes around the Abbey: ‘God save the King!’
However you may be intending to watch, it will be a day we remember for a long time.

I don't like Charles but he is the King and should be crowned as such. What I specifically don't like is the rottweiler becoming queen. Queen consort was as far as I think she should go. But no, Charles will make her queen. The wealth of the throne has accrued over 1000 years of royalty. They also own half of Scotland and all those fancy castles and such. Lots of houses and so on. It is legitimately theirs. Their ancestors built this stuff. At least they don't still own England so the British need to count their blessings.

I could give two craps about the monarchy, but...... My other half is watching the coronation in the other room.
What gauls me is the overt display of religious zeal and praise for the king. Tomorrow, the Brits will go right back to denying and mocking G_d. Great Britain and America are both doomed if G_d and morality are not restored in our hearts, minds, institutions, entertainment and law.
Frankly, I'm waiting for any Republican presidential candidate to take that position.

Just listen to you lot, it’s got nothing to do with you, all of those people crying at the cost just think of the tourist pounds pouring into the cash registers of the hotels, restaurants, cafes, tour buses, taxis etc. you have an ostentatious display every four years and nobody begrudges you that. This is the first one in 70 years so just enjoy the pomp and ceremony and the traditions that you’ll never have,

I wouldn't go so far as to say "legitimately" #2. Ever since the Dark Ages, the Kings and Queens of England stole all land, animals, crops and resources from the peasants, lived ostentatiously as 98% of the population starved and was imprisoned for not looking the right way or saying the wrong thing and took every woman that caught their eye. Then they conducted continuous wars to take these things from each other's kingdoms. The Church looked the other way as long as it got it's 10% cut of the spoils and "blessed" the royalty. That is the legacy of Charles.

It's the first time in English history that a an adulterous divorcee is being crowned Queen. Of course it took two to tango, and Charles, Prince of Adultery, should have deferred the Crown to his son, William, the Prince of Upright. It just goes to show how low Western civilization has descended into the depths of mediocrity and relativism that the "bar" has been so lowered. Wallace Simpson and King Edward VIII are rolling over in their graves today.

I could care less about King Charles and his Ugly Wife. They showed the world what they are made of when he mistreated Diana and Camilla didn't care if the world knew she was a Home Wrecker, a Mistress and also was committing Adultery as she was still married when she was sleeping with the Castle Idiot! That said, I set the DVR and watched it a bit later. I wanted to see Kate and William (she was Splendid), their daughter, Princess Charlotte was so cute with a matching Hair Piece to Kate's, and a beautiful dress and Cape. Little future King, George was a Page (holding his Grandpa's Cape) and did a great job. Even Little Louis, age 5 was perfect for that 3 hour event. Yes, I did see Harry, who was seated back far enough that nobody even knew he was there! There was way too much Music IMHO. I finally had to mute the Remote!

Jillz and Finnegan showed up deliberately wearing the colors in the Ukrainian flag. Jill blue, Finnegan yellow. After all, Finnegan’s dad made quite a haul from Ukraine. Ane then there’s the Bg Guy. They sat with Zelensky’s wife. Cute.

Ah, yes. King Edward's Chair, built for Edward the First, best known to American audiences as they guy who had Braveheart disemboweled.
Just for a little historical context.
And #1, and so you think those 14 million wouldn't be in poverty if they got rid of the royalty? The poor will always be with you. I read that somewhere.
