The Senate bill that permits Governor Ron DeSantis to run for the GOP nomination in 2024 has now passed the Florida House and awaits the governor signature after return from his overseas ‘book tour.’ (snip) the details of DeSantis campaign team are starting to emerge along with details of how the Florida Republican Party has been paying for the team to assemble quietly without attention.(snip)I have long ago accepted this DeSantis construct has been several years in the making, and it is a demonstrable certainty that all of the action since late 2021 was done to lay the stage for a massive deception upon the voters of Florida.

Comments:

Run for reelection as governor whiile preparing to run for president during a second term. And get the law changed to accommodate it.

CTH obsession with Trump is getting creepier all the time. We need the most electable conservative candidate to win the nomination. Nothing else matters. We do not owe DJT anything. And quite frankly the only reason I voted for him last time was that there were not better options. He speaks at a junior high level, is petulant and makes the most crass insults. Who gives a flip if DeSantis is a sitting Governor. He wouldn't be the first.

If the people of Florida really wanted the law of their state to be changed to allow their second term governors to run for president, the honorable way for the law to take effect would be after the term of the sitting governor. It would also have been debated by representatives after discussion with their constituents. This bill was moved with the approval of both houses of the legislature and signed by the sitting governor after he just won reelection, but the citizens of Florida were never consulted. Yeah, let's all get behind Ron DeSantis. He's a real dream candidate for the presidency. /extreme sarcasm off.

Anyone who is electable? Ron DeSantis is being bought and paid for by the very interests who caused us to vote for President Trump. Sometimes I am appalled by the some of the “reasoning" floated here. So back into the globalist swamp is OK as long as they have an (R) by their name. Pierre Delecto has that. Susan Collins. Lisa Murkowski. Some are ready to flush Make America Great Again down the toilet. Surrreal. So CTH has an “obsession” and of course we are all mindless, deplorable “cult” members? Sounds like GOPe/Dem boilerplate to me.

Washington — The one-time president of the far-right Proud Boys group Enrique Tarrio and three subordinates were convicted of numerous felonies including seditious conspiracy for their roles in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. A federal jury in Washington, D.C. found Tarrio, Ethan Nordean, Zachary Rehl and Joseph Biggs guilty of conspiring to prevent the peaceful transfer of power from Donald Trump to Joe Biden and using force and prior planning to hinder the 2020 presidential election certification. There was no verdict for Dominic Pezzola on the most serious charge, seditious conspiracy, but he was found guilty along with the others of obstruction of a official proceeding.

Having convinced themselves that Democrats will cream President Trump next year thanks to ballot harvesting, the left has moved to remove the last obstacle to their total control of our country, which was a constitutional republic until January 20, 2021’s installation of Biden in the White House. The left now attacks the Supreme Court. Democrats want to give Congress control of the court by creating an ethics commission of some sort. That’s like Jack the Ripper calling for knife control.

By now most Americans realize the United States government is conducting a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine.
