I wish we California citizens could put a tax on every elected office holder, appointed head of an agency/department that ran up Billions of Dollars of deficits in such a malicious manner. Considering their personal wealth; $500,000/year per person until the debt is paid sounds fair to me. We didn't want to be locked down! We didn't want to be locked out of our businesses! F.U. Ms. Su. ...And the Gavin you rode in on.

FTA: California’s unemployment insurance fund spent up to $31 billion on payouts for fraudulent claims when she was the state labor secretary Private businesses have to cover for the state's mistake, assuming they manage to stay in business. And if they do, they will pass on the burden of this tax to customers and/or more employee layoffs. Good job Julie Su.

ALL of which was caused by Democrats insisting that Trump "Emergency Plan" for "Temporary Unemployment" NOT be Allowed. Which would have essentially kept all of the workers employed, and the benefits fed to them through their employers, also keeping in place their health insurance, vacation , retirement, 401ks, savings plans in place. Reducing the need for Govt workers to suddenly have many millions of "New" unemployed to be entered into data bases and vetted(or not vetted), as well as checks written. All of which would have been done easily and normally by the (now permanently former) Employers, keeping at least SOME people fully employed. I can guarantee that employers would NOT have been writing checks to people that hadn't worked there, resided in foreign countries, or were incarcerated in prisons. Certainly not sending stacks of checks to the same address, and doing so in multiple cases. The "Unemployment Trust Fund" had plenty of money available until "Govt" decided to "Fix" it....just as they want to do with the SS, Medicare, retirement Trust Funds.

The only requirement for a position in the Biden administration is incompetence! If the Republicans allow this fool Su as labor secretary, then they are part of the problem!

GOP-controlled legislatures in South Carolina and Nebraska failed on Thursday to pass anti-abortion legislation. The "Heartbeat Act" in Nebraska would have banned most abortions after six weeks with exceptions including rape, incest and the life of the mother. The measured stalled in the state legislature and a vote to overcome a filibuster of the bill failed by a vote of 32-15. Two senators abstained from voting. GOP state Sen. Merv Riepe called for the bill to be reconsidered and proposed an amendment to move the ban to 12 weeks instead of six weeks. The amendment did not receive a vote.

Despite many of them having only just entered the workforce, Generation Z — those born in 1997 onwards — is already getting a bad rap at the office. According to a recent survey of 1,300 managers, three out of four agree that Gen Z is harder to work with than other generations — so much so that 65% of employers said they have to fire them more often. One in eight have let go of a Gen Zer less than one week after their start date, the study found. Tucker Carlson was more than the highest-rated host in all of cable until his shocking termination by Fox News on Monday. The 53-year-old media veteran is a father, a husband, and a friend to those who have had the pleasure of knowing him and even a delightful stranger to run into in a park: (Snip) Carlson communicated conservatism in ways that are difficult to do. He challenged conventional thinking for Republicans as much as he challenged the country’s far left. Other than those who loathe ideas such as national sovereignty, life, liberty, and truth, not a single person is better off today — now that his voice has been effectively silenced.

A little-noticed revamp of federal rules on mortgage fees will offer discounted rates for home buyers with riskier credit backgrounds — and force higher-credit homebuyers to foot the bill, The Post has learned. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will enact changes to fees known as loan-level price adjustments (LLPAs) on May 1 that will affect mortgages originating at private banks nationwide (SNIP) “This was a blatant and significant cut of fees for their highest-risk borrowers and a clear increase in much better credit quality buyers – which just clarified to the world that this move was a pretty significant cross-subsidy pricing change,”

A troubling societal issue called "transableism" is attracting attention these days. Transableism is a newer term for BIID, or "Body Integrity Identity Disorder," in which a person actually "identifies" as handicapped. BIID has been relabeled to transableism to align with today's trans community, according to some. The point of "changing the identifier" from a psychiatric condition (BIID) to an advocacy term (transableism) is to "harness the stunning cultural power of gender ideology" to the cause of allowing doctors to "treat" BIID patients by "amputating healthy limbs, snipping spinal cords or destroying eyesight," according to Evolution News and Science Today

Hochul said Thursday she reached a handshake deal with lawmakers on the agreement, which was included in New York’s fiscal 2024 budget. The transgender “influencer” entered into the broader public eye after Joe Biden invited him to the White House back in 2022. Think about that. Yes, Kamala Harris is arguably the most unqualified person in history to serve as vice president. Even worse, given the reality of 80-year-old Joe Biden’s mental decline, her ill-advised selection in 2020 puts the Democrat Party in a precarious position with respect to the 2024 presidential election.
