Anheuser-Busch distributors in rural areas of the Heartland and South are "spooked" after widespread backlash to Bud Light celebrating transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney’s "365 Days of Girlhood" with a polarizing promotion, according to the trade publication Beer Business Daily. Earlier this month, the trans activist revealed that the beer company sent packs of Bud Light featuring the influencer’s face as a way to celebrate a full year of "girlhood" that Mulvaney recently reached.//snip//The publication noted that Mulvaney had piled up over one billion TikTok views, and her fanbase is largely made up of Gen Z members that beer companies are "desperate" to reach.

Haley’s campaign manager Betsy Ankney wrote the memo. Mostly she ripped into Trump’s “drama” but she made sure to include her opinion on Governor DeSantis, too. She did not, however, mention Governor Asa Hutchinson or Vivek Ramaswamy by name who have officially entered the GOP primary race.
Governor DeSantis has not officially entered the race but that isn’t stopping the others from jumping ugly on him. Everyone expects him to take the leap when the Florida Legislature completes its session.

Former president Trump on Tuesday claimed that President Biden does not appear to be steering the ship of his own administration, which he said has been hijacked by “vicious, smart” progressives.
In an interview with Tucker Carlson for Fox News, Trump projected that Biden will not be capable of running for president a second time, alluding to his observable deteriorating mental and physical condition.
“I don’t think he can,” Trump told the host. “There’s something wrong.”
Noting Biden’s absence from press events and general checked-out attitude, Trump said “it’s not him” driving much of the agenda being imposed at the federal level.

Whole Foods opened its 64,000+ square foot “flagship” store in downtown San Francisco in March of 2022. On Monday, the grocery giant announced it was shuttering that location — at least for now.
“We are closing our Trinity location only for the time being,” a Whole Foods spokesperson said in a statement. “If we feel we can ensure the safety of our team members in the store, we will evaluate a reopening of our Trinity location.”
A City Hall source told The Standard the company cited deteriorating street conditions around drug use and crime near the grocery store as a reason for its closure.

Tennessee state Rep. Justin Jones (D-Nashville) has retaken his oath of office and been reinstated to the state House days after being expelled for joining a state capitol protest against gun violence.
On Monday afternoon, the Nashville Metropolitan Council voted to reinstate Jones, after the GOP-controlled House voted to expel him and his colleague Rep. Justin Pearson (D-Memphis). As Jones was sworn in on the steps of the state capitol, a crowd of supporters gathered around him and cheered.

The Department of Justice asked a federal appeals court on Monday to order the abortion pill mifepristone to remain on the market pending further litigation, days after Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk suspended FDA approval of the drug.
The DOJ wants the short-term administrative stay issued by Kacsmaryk to be extended and it also asked for a long-term stay pending appeal. The drug, which is part of a regimen that is the most common method of procuring an abortion, is due to become unavailable in most of the country seven days after Kacsmaryk’s ruling.

For decades IQs were climbing in the Western World. It was called the “Flynn effect.”
Average IQs were defined as 100 in each succeeding iteration of the IQ test, as by definition the average was normed to 100. But if you rescored earlier IQ tests based upon prior norms, the average IQ would have increased by about 15 points or one standard deviation.
In other words, if you took an IQ test in 1942 and scored 100, by today’s scoring you would have an IQ of 86.
That is, until the past 10 or so years. In the past 10 years, IQs have been dropping, and dropping pretty fast.
