College Professor Claims That Organized
Pantries Are ‘Racist and Sexist’

This week, a professor at Loyola University in Chicago claimed that organized pantries in people’s homes are rooted in “racism and sexism.” Dr. Jenna Drenten, an associate professor of marketing at Loyola University, made the remarks in a piece for the Conversation, where she slammed the trend of people posting videos of their styled, organized pantries on the platform TikTok. According to Drenton, maintaining a clean, organized home equates to “sexist” and “racist” behavior, because most people who post “pantry porn” are white women (via the Conversation): Cleanliness has historically been used as a cultural gatekeeping mechanism to reinforce status distinctions based on a vague understanding of “niceness”:

Clearly professors nationwide have too much time on their hands. Universities need to give them more classes to teach and fewer TAs doing their work for them. Let them spend every evening grading papers rather than making up things to get offended about.

OMG...had no idea back in the day that I was a racist/sexist when I alphabetized my spices and kept a very orderly pantry. The label my family and friends gave me was 'anal retentive' and delighted in rearranging everything to annoy me. It worked. I could now not care less if the tarragon and basil are cozying up to one another...well maybe just a little. LOL

An organized pantry saves money. With grocery items so expensive now due to inflation, it makes it even more important. Mark items with a sharpie with expiration dates so you can see which item to use first. Organize by item - no need to buy 37 cans of the same item that you end up throwing away half because they weren't used. It keeps heavy items off of upper shelves that won't fall on your head. I guess being frugal, logical and safe must be racist now. Let's see a photo of the professor's shelves. Then again, how many ways can you arrange your edible insects?

I'd like the professor to explain to Black women the only conclusion that can be made from her theory. If by being neat and organized, White women are hateful and racist then Black women who are not racist must be messy, disorganized, slobs. Blacks in Chicago do not need pantries. They just shoplift what they need each day, no need to organize or store it so technically this overeducated clown is correct. Working on my prepper pantry today. Call me what you want. You would think that the black community would be concerned that blacks can't seem to be able to do anything for themselves. Can't do math because math is racist, can't use correct English or write a complete sentence or fashion a paragraph. Another racist ability. And read, we won't even go there. (As we all know the ability to read and comprehend is just too white.) So many "secret" white abilities that blacks are not privy to. So now if my pantry is neat, and tidy and I group my canned meats together and have all my tomato soup cans facing forward that is also another white trick not available to the black community. So I guess the ability to be organized and neat is another white privilege that blacks are not capable of doing. It must suck to be a black person being held back on all these white tools for living. There are plenty of stupid, ignorant white people and obviously that is one trait too many share with the black community. Pathetic. I am a prepper, I have a working pantry, so what?

On Monday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson made a compelling argument that indicting former President Donald Trump could lead to the permanent destruction of the United States justice system. Although Carlson acknowledged that former presidents could be indicted if they have committed a crime, the undeniable fact is that Trump is the current frontrunner for the Republican nomination for president, and the abuse of the justice system by partisan prosecutors to take out a political opponent would be unprecedented and dangerous. In fact, as Carlson pointed out, Alvin Bragg ran for district attorney on the promise that he would indict Trump.
