Ohio residents have been ordered to shelter in place Saturday after another Norfolk Southern train ran off the tracks.
The 212-car train derailed at Ohio 41 near the Prime Ohio Business Park in Springfield around 5 p.m., the Clark County Emergency Management said.
About 20 of the train’s box cars toppled off the tracks while it was traveling through the city.
A spokesperson confirmed with The Post that Norfolk Southern — the same railway company involved in the tragic East Palestine derailment that contaminated 1.1 million gallons of water and 15,000 pounds of soil — was operating the derailed train.

I read the article because I didn't like the word "ordered" in the headline.
From the article: Residents within 1,000 feet of the derailment have been asked to remain indoors “out of an abundance of caution.”
The NY Post, one of my go-to sources, needs to revisit this headline.

Maybe another put-up job, as if to say: see! Derailments are usually perfectly safe. No injuries, no spills, no thrills. We are approaching Franklin's maxim: believe none of what you read, and only half of what you see.

Trains used to stay on the tracks. Now we're having one almost every day. Has the FBI bothered to check into it? Are we being condition to get used to train derailments?

It is 3 and a half hours by rail from Springfield to East Palestine Ohio. If I didn't know better (and I don't) somebody has it IN for Norfolk Southern. Was it Maxine Waters who banged her shoe on the desk and hollered, ''We will bury you.'' speaking to steel and coal industries?

Why so many train derailments recently? It reminds me of the many fires in the past two-three years at food processing plants. It is almost as though they are deliberate.

If rail service has become so unreliable, how will the communist Left transport all of the conservatives to re-education camps

It's not just trains. How about all of the food processing plants getting destroyed or the oil refineries, or the chickens and fish that are supposably infected? Almost forgot the electrical power stations that have been attacked. Sure is a lot of coincidence.

So Biden, or who ever is controlling him, put a guy in charge of transportation (butt-I-gig). Who knows absolutely nothing about transportation, Trains derail and no one really investigates. Because the guy in charge doesn’t know what to do, or is being told not to investigate why the derailment. Now Biden, or who ever it is controlling him,
wants to place a guy who knows absolutely
nothing about air planes in charge of air travel. This administration wants only one pilot in the cockpit. No co-pilot. Will the new guy in charge of air travel implement this. Bet that’s why he was picked.

Just a hunch, I think this is an effort to bring NS’s stock price down so Berkshire Hathaway can come in and sweep it up for a song. This would give Warren Buffet a coast to coast rail network…

Another possibility.
Our country has been racked by shortages. What if those shortages are hitting the railroad industry and they are having a problem getting parts to maintain things?
Encountered something like this the other day. An elevator was out of order. They could not get parts to repair it.
Our government is too busy saving the planet to be bothered with stuff like this.
F Joe Biden!

The world is going to hell. America used to stand up to our enemies. Now, our leaders are business partners with them. Biden is weak and comprised. Nobody respects him. And he's part of the democrat mafia.

And the toxic water dam burst in East Palestine. NSRR itself is in a major bit of a derailment. BTW, where's Butt Pete? Butt Pete?

What is going on here...why is this company having so many derailments....it's obvious this company is skirting the law and counting on Washington DC to cover their posteriors....our rail system is old and outdated and the infrastructure money needs to redo our rail system...instead of feeding the DC swamp's need for private jets and big mansions...no more money until America is whole again...the taxpayers need to make a statement...no more money....

The problem may be simple as simple maintenance of wheels and bearings or as nefarious as sabotage. If we had a
righteous, godly government, we would have the answers ASAP. Sadly we are being tortured/persecuted by thugs and gangsters in this Regime hellbent on destroying our country.

Hmmm. 15,000 lbs of soil.....about one dumpster's worth. Doesn't sound like much to me. A single semi truck can carry 50-60.000 lbs of soil....this isn't much at all. I consider it a good thing if that is all the contamination that happened.

Power substations, agricultural plants, trains derailing, near misses at airports.... I'd almost think this was France in WW II and the SOE was sabotaging infrastructure.
Interesting factoid: Our equivalent to UK's SOE was our OSS which was renamed 'CIA' after the war.

Oh how about all the near misses in airline travel? Take offs' landings. Taxi onto and off of runways? Pilot error? I think its the "new air controllers" who have NO experience running the "show." Well you know. Equity. Diversity...lalalalalala. Skin color? No experienced people may apply. So. Another derailment. Norfolk Southern. Nor---k and Southern.
