A federal judge denied a request from a Jan. 6 defendant to access additional Capitol surveillance tapes recently made available by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in an effort to delay her trial and gather more evidence. U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg denied the request from Jan. 6 defendant Sara Carpenter on Friday, ruling her legal team failed to explain how the supplemental footage of her actions inside the Capitol building would be necessary in her case. Carpenter faces a number of charges for her participation in the Capitol riot, including disorderly conduct and obstruction of an official proceeding.

The long-established, once viewed as credible journalism CBS News program, 60 Minutes, attempted to clear the air about the origins of COVID-19 after a year of declaring the lab-leak theory "debunked."
After FBI Director Christopher Wray agreed with the bombshell report by the Washington Street Journal, revealing that the United States Department of Energy concluded that COVID "most likely arose from a laboratory leak," 60 Minutes is walking back their previous comments about the matter.
In May 2020, CBS News's Scott Pelley cast significant doubt over the Trump Administration's assertions that the virus was leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China saying,

In December 2022, The Gateway Pundit reported on five Antifa members who were arrested and held on terrorism charges after protesting outside of a $90 Million police training center near Atlanta, Georgia.
During the arrests, police recovered bombs, flares, gasoline, and weapons.

New York City’s Department of Education (NYCDOE) is currently investigating racist, anti-white text messages that were allegedly sent by Marion Wilson, the black superintendent for schools in District 31.
According to the New York Post, screenshots of the offensive text messages were forwarded by email to chancellor David Banks and other officials from an encrypted email address, Mikeboy70@protonmail.
It’s not clear who’s behind the account, as the owner has reportedly refused to reply to requests for information from the Post and other outlets.
It is clear though that the text messages are quite disturbing.

A campaign to have rural eastern Oregon secede from the blue state and join more conservative Idaho has "virtually no chance" of becoming a reality, according to Idaho's top state Senate Democrat.
"I'm very pleased this measure has virtually no chance of advancing into reality," Idaho Senate Minority Leader Melissa Wintrow, D, told Fox News Digital. "It would be bad for all involved and bad for the country, and I am opposed to it at all levels."

Ohio residents have been ordered to shelter in place Saturday after another Norfolk Southern train ran off the tracks.
The 212-car train derailed at Ohio 41 near the Prime Ohio Business Park in Springfield around 5 p.m., the Clark County Emergency Management said.
