Is Pete Buttigieg salvageable?
More than any other cabinet member in recent memory, Joe Biden’s transportation secretary has been outed as someone out of his depth and entirely clueless when it comes to the weighty responsibilities of his office.
“He’s not ready for the responsibility he has. He was a fine mayor, from what I understand, but the position he’s got really would be better served by a person who’s managed a large enterprise, a state, or something of the scale he’s now dealing with,” said Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah).
How has Pete Buttigieg fulfilled Romney’s characterization of him? Let us count the ways:

Buttigieg was not even competent as a small town mayor.

No cabinet secretary should be subject to ridicule from the start. In Buttigieg's case it compounded the errors of a person clearly unqualified for the position. But the Democrat party is more interested in 'inclusion' than competence. FDR chose generals on the basis of ability and past performance, not skin color, gender or sexual behavior. Democrats these days consider those features first, and our country is the worse for that.

He was called pothole Pete in South Bend for a reason. Lots of initiatives he tied his name to…but the day to day job description for which he had direct responsibility…escaped him

As in the case of Kamala "HeelsUpHyenaCackling" Harris, Pete Buttigieg is Department of Transportation Secretary for one reason and one reason only.

This is exactly what you get with an affirmative action/diversity appointment. INCOMPETENCE. He's a white male but he still checked a diversity box.

The latest addition to the Village People, Butt Pete continues to validate his Peter Principle. He needs additional personal time instead of acting on the NSRR derailments, and the failure of the East Palestine toxic water dam. We are blessed with his presence, as he lets us know.

He has a twisted entitlement mentality. A cabinet position is supposed to be public service and an opportunity for demonstrate abilities for the cabinet secretary. It is not a career government GS position, where someone takes 8 weeks paternity leave. If he did not intend to dedicate the time to fulfill the responsibilities, then he should have declined the appointment, so that someone more qualified and dedicated could have served in the position.

Buttgig could have learned the transportation industry and his duties in two years time but he doesn't want to, he is a LAZY, entitled poseur who would rather promote his gay side than his industrious side. I wouldn't hire the clown to cut my grass.

Petey lives with an America is mean, social justice, racist road obsession. He has no regard for the management skills and work ethic required to effectively manage a federal department. Petey is a creepy little worm.

FTA:
Buttigieg is the first openly gay man to serve in the cabinet.
President Trump would succinctly respond with, "WRONG!"
Trump gave Grenell his Cabinet chair. Ric Grenell was the first openly gay U.S. Cabinet official.
Let Pete go, he's incompetent at a time we need competence.

As the mayor of a small town he couldn’t even manage to fill potholes. What idiot thought he could possibly handle being Transportation Secretary? The only thing he knows is the telephone number to the government office that schedules the private jets for government officials. Take a close look at some of the video when he was in East Palestine…while local officials are talking to him he’s looking around and smiling. He’s not only grossly incompetent, he’s silly.

He’s just about outright admitting that he had no idea he would be expected to know something about transportation. His only job was to be ‘openly gay’. The unmitigated ego driven gall of this incompetent, unqualified rube is that he thinks he should be President.

Can Romney be even more stupid? Stay tuned. This guy pretty much bankrupted South Bend Indiana when he was mayor. He is a complete disaster at his current position. Now we find out he mentored a guy who has been arrested for possession of child related nasty stuff. He really needs to go.

Butt Plug may not be competent but certainly Garland who should be competent is just plain corrupt. Is there a difference?

Our system has evolved to the point that cabinet positions, as well as ambassadorships, are the rewards for supporting the candidate of a given party. Experience and ability to do the job are no longer factors.
