We Need to Talk About Mark Levin's Interview
With Ron DeSantis Last Night

On Sunday night, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appeared on “Life, Liberty, and Levin” on Fox News, purportedly to promote his new book, The Courage to Be Free, which comes out this week. While DeSantis has not yet declared that he’s running for president, he certainly sounded like a man who’s making the case for his candidacy. Or, if not, he’s making a case for conservatism as the path to American success and prosperity— the subtitle of the book is “Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival.” As my colleague Stephen Green pointed out earlier today: DeSantis isn’t traveling to early presidential primary states like Iowa or New Hamphire, at least not yet. Instead,

He's a likable man and seems very competent as governor. And in time I'd like to see him as president. However, we must not forget his closeness with the Bush's and their support of him. There are a few other red flags but the main one to me is the Bush's. He would have a better chance, tho, if he waits out the next cycle and lets Trump have a clear field. After that, run.

Rupert Murdoch who owns Fox News has fallen out with Trump and so it looks like DeSantis is Fox's man. And although I like Trump I'm not with # 1 & 2 and don't mind if DeSantis gets the nomination in 2024.

FTA: "...Republicans from blue states are tougher—”based” was the word he used—than those in red states because they’ve had to fight more. The same could be true of DeSantis’s political evolution while he was at Yale." That's nothing compared to the fight Trump still has to wage.

I like Trump, A LOT! Trump is a junkyard dog, but he is OUR junkyard dog. Having said that, DeSantis might actually be best for the country. And it may come down to whom Elon Musk supports. I would suggest that Trump drop out of the race if DeSantis offers him the UN Ambassadorship and/or a seat on the Supreme Court.

I do not like Trumps childish behavior or his enormous ego. What I do like is how he loves America and what he did as POTUS. I care more about what a person does than what that person says or how he says it. Trump was great for all Americans, not just "his" people. DeSantis will have his day but I hope today is not that day. Trump will get things done. He did it before and he will do it again.

It doesn't matter who runs in 2024. Until Republicans and voters get serious about how democrats and the global deep state have mastered stealing elections, and DEMAND accountability, no one other than the anointed deep state candidates will win, no matter how old, incompetent, or demented, they will be installed. As long as we are all allow the fiction that claims of the 2020 election are false and we do not make an aggressive push to ferret out election fraud schemes across the nation, we are sunk. I see no organized effort by anyone to do just that. The FBI and deep state have pretty much neutered Joe DiGenova, Victoria Toensing, Rudy Giuliani, et.al, with the media and democrats and rhinos neutering anything Trump has to say about this. I firmly believe now, that the last relatively real election we had was 2016.

As Trump has said, he could shoot someone point blank and kill him in front of a crowd on 5th Ave. and (some) people would still vote for him no matter what. Behold these people---the posters! And because of them I am positive Trump, if he does not get the nomination, will do a Bull Moose (do the posters even know what that is?) and thus we lose to another Democrat and continue our slide into oblivion as a nation. And Trump, no matter how good he can be, is above all vengeance and could care less---it will serve us right to have the country destroyed.

And, in case you hadn’t noticed, the country is already under destruction, aided and abetted by the very people who are now embracing DeSantis. Even after being warned, Trump let the Dims steal the election right out from under him. Too many of his appointees were absolutely abysmal and we can thank Trump for the “warp speed” vaccines. I watched Trump’s daily briefings on television with Fauci and Birx and it was blatantly obvious that he was being rolled. I love what Trump did for the country his first three years in office. Remember the Summer of 2020 under Trump’s watch? He is much too polarizing and this country desperately needs to come together if we are to survive as a sovereign nation.

It is very early days. A lot can and will happen between now and the primaries. Unfortunately the Deep State may indeed find a way to stop Trump from running. I voted for him twice and would again but if he doesn’t end up on the ticket I’m certainly not going to sit it out and hand it to the Democrats.

Poster #17 proves my point. I am "nasty" because I doubt people recognize the Bull Moose Party and how it lost the Presidential race by splitting the vote (and though this poster may know what it was, I still assume others don't) but the point is Trump IS vengeful and certainly will form his own Party if he doesn't win the primary. Who can possibly deny that?. And with a Bull Moose result. No, he didn't take a salary, yes, he DID do a great number of things that I thought were exceptional...and against great odds, but he also has proven himself nasty and vengeful in the past, and childish as well ("Meatball Ron" etc.) And if I say that I voted for Trump twice (which I did) and gave $$$, which I did, I am immediately labeled either a swamp creature or a Democrat in disguise. Can't anyone recognize that there are a lot of us (but not those who would absolve him of murder on 5th Ave.) who would like a Donald Trump WITHOUT the nastiness, the drama etc. Who WOULDN'T lose us Ga. TWICE by putting up a candidate who was unqualified (if funding were the only issue plenty of people, like Dr. Oz., who lost, would have won.) Which brings up my final point: Trump's almost total criteria is whether a candidate thought he won the last election (and I agree there was fraud aplenty. But that is over and done with). But the reason Oz probably lost against a man immediately hospitalized for depression, besides the crudities, was because there are people who hate Trump so much they will vote for anyone (Joe Biden, for example) who is NOT Donald Trump. No matter how many devotees Trump has, THAT is a huge liability, and the way he is behaving here and now is changing no minds. We would like someone who could govern like Donald Trump WITHOUT claiming a candidate's father helped assassinate JFK or that a candidate is sanctimonious and OWES Trump their job., so should be loyal and thus not run now. I think we Republicans have to face facts if we want to win the Presidency. IF we want to win. What is more important: the future of the Country via a Republican win or loyalty" to man, exceptional as he is, who cannot? I know what Trump thinks. If he doesn't win the primary he will take us down in flames and we deserve it. What do WE think?

#1 -- People involved in politics are inevitably going to cross paths with other people in politics, and the "so and so has ties to..." meme can lead you down a rabbithole. For instance, Bill and Hillary Clinton were VIP guests at Trump's wedding. Trump was a registered Democrat for most of his life. Does that mean you can't vote for Trump?

An appeals court on Wednesday rejected attempts by former President Trump’s legal team to challenge a Friday ruling ordering his attorney Evan Corcoran to produce documents related to the probe into the potential mishandling of records at Mar-a-Lago. In the wake of revelations that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has indictments coming for former president Donald Trump, as well as the subsequent fallout and media freakout, the discussion (at least, on the right) has turned to the weaponization of the criminal justice system for political purposes. To be fair, the left is so concerned about Trump getting arrested that they are just throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. This, as others have repeatedly pointed out, is just purely partisan politics. After all, the feds walked away from charging Trump over the Stormy Daniels issue, and Bragg himself also backed away from it, until the left screamed
