Elon Musk has regained his position as the world's richest man with a net worth of $187.1 billion thanks to Tesla's booming stock price. He has regained the title from Bernard Arnault, boss of luxury goods company LVMH, who's now second richest with a net worth of $185.3 billion. Musk's wealth has been boosted as shares in Tesla, his electric car company, have nearly doubled since the start of 2023. The company was one of many tech stocks to suffer badly last year but it's currently trading at $207.63-a-share - compared with $108.10 on January 2.

If I were to ever own an EV -- which, God forbid, ever happens -- I guess I would want to own a Tesla. EV's are totally useless if you like to go on long road trips, which we do multiple times a year. We drove from Texas to Washington state, and back through Oregon and Utah on the way home, this past year. I guess if you just want a glorified golf cart, they are OK for just driving around town. Lots of pretty bells and whistles inside them. But totally useless to people like us.

My electricity bill last month was over $700 without an EV. How exactly does using more coal generated electricity solve any of the fabricated green problems? Having said that, Musk seems to be one of the few billionaires out there who supports the American way.

Jurors in Alex Murdaugh's double murder trial today visited the family's hunting lodge which has remained frozen in time, with bullet hole-riddled windows and forgotten family possessions. Eerie footage showed the kennels where Murdaugh's wife Maggie, 52, and son Paul, 22, were shot dead on the hunting estate in Moselle on the night of June 7, 2021. The video revealed a plant pot painted with the name 'Buster' and a snowman standing on a table between two rocking chairs on the porch. An abandoned bicycle which Maggie would ride from the main house to visit her beloved dogs

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland over the FBI raid on a pro-life Christian man and asked whether the Department of Justice (DOJ) had an "anti-Catholic bias." "Our department protects all religions, all ideologies. It does not have any bias against any religion of any kind," Garland said, fielding the question from Hawley during Wednesday's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. Hawley then characterized the DOJ as an agency quick to expend resources and intelligence to be deployed against Catholics while "turning a blind eye" as people are executed in the streets of American cities. "Your answer frankly surprises me," Hawley added.

Sometimes I write an article and the topic is so insane that I’m not even sure what to say. In this case, I’m going to do my best, but understand that it’s difficult to put words down when you watch something that is this awful. What I’m about to share is that rage-inducing. Joe Biden appeared in Maryland on Wednesday evening to speak to the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference (whatever that is). And while the typical political bluster about “assault weapons” and such was on full display, there was one moment that is destined to go viral, and not for a good reason. While speaking, Biden decided to laugh

Is Pete going to fix this? Because ever since he took over the Department of Transportation, it seems as if every method of travel is crashing or derailing. It goes beyond the catastrophic crash in East Palestine, Ohio, that’s rapidly becoming an environmental crisis. Buttigieg finally arrived two weeks later, but it was clear, given the town's political leanings, that the Biden folks had no intention of assisting in any meaningful way. Before this Ohio catastrophe, air travel collapsed over the holidays over a software glitch that Mayor Pete was abreast of but did nothing.

It has become abundantly clear that the Biden administration and their accomplices are in favor of abortion. They’ll do whatever it takes to further the pro-abort narrative even if that means allowing pro-aborts to get away with violent acts of domestic terrorism while arresting innocent pro-lifers. Flashback to September 2022, when father and husband Mark Houck was bombarded with at least two-dozen armed FBI agents and arrested over a minor altercation he’d had with an abortion supporter. The arrest was absolutely berserk and Houck, as of Jan. 2023, has been cleared of all counts

A group of bipartisan senators is quietly meeting to retool Social Security before funds run out in 2032. On the table, according to Semafor, is gradually raising the retirement age to 70 and creating a $1.5 trillion sovereign wealth fund, which would invest in stocks. That fund would be separate from the already existing Social Security Trust Fund. If it underperformed, Social Security would be shored up by increasing the maximum taxable income and payroll taxes. Leading the efforts are Sens. Bill Cassidy, a Louisiana Republican, and Angus King, a Maine independent who caucuses with the Democrats.

The Washington, D.C. city council made it official on Monday, illegal immigrants and other non-citizens can now vote in local elections. The Democrat-run district that serves as the nation’s capital went so far as to allow foreign diplomats to cast a vote. That’s according to various reports that the city council passed the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act after a 30-day congressional review period ended — the GOP-led House pushed to block the D.C. law from taking effect but the Democrat-run Senate let the clock expire without taking action. The law requires a person to be 18 and to have lived in D.C. for 30 days to be eligible to vote,

On Sunday night, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appeared on “Life, Liberty, and Levin” on Fox News, purportedly to promote his new book, The Courage to Be Free, which comes out this week. While DeSantis has not yet declared that he’s running for president, he certainly sounded like a man who’s making the case for his candidacy. Or, if not, he’s making a case for conservatism as the path to American success and prosperity— the subtitle of the book is “Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival.” As my colleague Stephen Green pointed out earlier today: DeSantis isn’t traveling to early presidential primary states like Iowa or New Hamphire, at least not yet. Lightfoot limped into third with 17 percent of the vote. Naturally, like any good radical leftist, Lightfoot took no personal responsibility for her loss, choosing to blame it instead on others. Those lawsuits have since been consolidated into one case.
